As for attractive aliens, I think Garrus, Nihlus and Thane have hands down been the only male attractive aliens I've seen, in an unusual aesthetic way. But what made me like them even more is their character, because without its character, we would be too weird out to find them attractive.

Garrbear needs hugs, and I want to give him all the hugs he needs. <3Alexine wrote...
I actually like the romance song for ME2, since it portrayed what was happening, which is a possibility that it would be the last chance for Shepard to be with his/her LI before the Omega Relay, so I think it suited. Onto Garrus, I think it does suit when the song started, since Garrus was literally spilling out all of his bottled feelings, and the gentleness of the song makes it seem not so dire and more heart-wrenching.

The TVTropes entry on Garrus never fails to make me laugh: Memetic Sex God, everyone is GAR for Garrus, even the guys want him, etc.
Just goes to show that a killer personality, a heart of gold, and a sexy voice generate a surprisingly strong romance interest regardless of "alienness," especially since Garrus isn't saddled with the issues of the typical BioWare love interest. Now if only the DA team would get the memo and give me a no-kidding badass to romance

And it's been a while since I've looked up Garrus on TVTropes. Sounds like I need to read it again. xD

The trope page for Mass Effect got so enormous they split it a couple of different ways.
I can't remember last no-kidding BADASS we got as a female PC's LI in BioWare games before ME2. DA:O's Alistair and Zevran I really liked, but I wouldn't call either of them badass. No, not even Zev. I don't care what his goal was, if he can't even land a blow on my greenhorn of a Warden, he's doesn't get Badass with a capital B. ME1, Kaidan is many things, and badass is not one of them. Aarin Gend was IMO just creepy, Sky was kind of adorkable but not a badass--
Oh wait. Valen. Valen Shadowbreath. Hot tiefling badass. Valen and Garrus. And...that's all I got for badass LIs.
Not that I don't like sensitive and nice LIs either, but it does bother me somewhat that 90% of the time, my PC can completely steamroller her poor LI both in and out of combat. Maybe it's also because I tend to play relatively resilient, determinator sorts of PCs. At any rate, I'd prefer relationships with less of a drastic power imbalance; at least Garrus can get the upper hand in sparring matches

I've heard of Valen. I definitely have something to look forward to then. (Gave up on not ordering anything online and bought the old BioWare games. >

I never could get through Hordes to romance Valen. Maybe I should do that one of these days. You know... when Meghan's not dominating my writing with her Garrus romance.
Yeah, give it a shot. I absolutely loved Hordes, that was the first game I played over and over again, due in no small part to Valen Shadowbreath
I'm going to start my insanity run soon - gotta finish my speedrun ME1 so I can insanity that NG+ and hit level 60 for import to ME2. I get the feeling its going to be rather difficult, given the difficulty jump to hardcore was quite large. Gonna be a shock going from speedrun casual to "do every quest" insanity ...

Yeah, it does annoy me when people think that femshep and Garrus didn't even go all the way in their romance. But I guess Bioware left it open to interpretation because they were 'experimenting.' My femshep def did a lot with Garrus, when they were alone, with wine, and in a bedroom
Wine, some creativity, and some flexibility make anything possible :innocent:
Though really, I'm glad they didn't show much more than they did. A hug would've been nice I suppose, but honestly, no-kidding sex scenes in video games are never anything but awkward and cringe-inducing. With DA:O--and some of the mods that have attempted to...erm...fix it--taking the dubious award of WORST EVER. So I'd rather leave the sexings to FemShep and Garrus's black screen. Or if I want details, to the lovely pervy minds of Mass Kink

Well... my only point is that why would you want the first time to be only two hours? Maybe some heavy foreplay... but there's no way they'd rush it.

Mine had Garrus on the bed in 2.4 seconds after the fade to black.

Hmm, there is also after suicide mission... plenty of time afterwards. Two hours is probably just a taste tester xD
