It is strange how often people blame Shepard for dying. xD Poor Shepard. At least four out of five old squadmates were happy to see him/her, even if only two joined up (not counting the third in post-ME2 DLC). My MainShep didn't mind working for Cerberus at first because they brought her back to life, the Alliance/Council did nothing, and she plays favorites. She was glad when Garrus didn't have a problem with it either. She likes working with TIM now. They definitely have a relationship based on favors. MainShep gave him the base as a "thank you" present.

Before ME2 was released, and even before I found the forums, I had no doubt that Garrus would be a squadmate in ME2. I didn't understand why everyone else was worried about it. By the time I found out about the forums, everyone was already talking about Garrus being a romance option and there was video proof up on youtube. So I was definitely happy about it. I bought ME2 on day one and played until I recruited Garrus. I knew about Archangel, the gunship and scars too, so I wasn't worried.

It's funny that I didn't know that Garrus was returning to be a romance option. I was glad to see a familiar face from ME universe. (I didn't really like Garrus in ME1, I was more pegging for Wrex's return in ME2)

And did anyone noticed the CGI trailer for ME2 at the end, you can see Garrus' profile pic from ME1 from Illusive Man's screen?

I don't think I saw any of the trailers, actually. I knew all of the spoilers from this site, the ME Wiki, and youtube. I read about some of the trailers having spoilers in them though (like the Normandy destruction and Shepard's death/resurrection).

Oh god, you spared yourself some utter insanity.  Not that the insanity now has died down much--in fact, I think I love Garrus more each time I play the game, write for the meme, etc.  But seriously, we were on emotional roller-coasters for a few months, wondering if Garrus was dying of some awful disease (thanks, Thane, buddy, for taking the fall on that one :D), if Samara was going to ninja his LI spot...good times.  Good times.

I can't wait for the insanity pre ME3.

It's on the trailer with CGI Illusive Man and Miranda. That trailer wasn't much a spoiler as it was just fancy and polished graphics. If you leave ME2 without pressing start, it plays parts of that trailer.

Worried that Samara would be a romance option for FemShep instead of Garrus? Wow, I'm glad I missed that. I was already annoyed that ME1 only had one option for straight FemSheps. xD But I'll be around for all of the ME3 insanity and the 2012 "the world can't handle the awesome that is ME3" jokes.

And I'll have to pay more attention to that opening scene the next time I play ME2. I've watched it a few times, but never noticed Garrus on one of the screens.

If Garrus wasn't a romance with ME2, I would've gone with Thane. :P But even if there was no romance for Garrus in ME2, he's so much of a real badass in ME2. How can no one like him? :D

I have Shepards planned for each romance, but if Garrus wasn't an option, then Thane definitely would have been my favorite option for FemSheps. Not sure who would have been my favorite overall though, Thane or Tali. Garrus has no competition for my overall favorite romance as of now. The only way he could have competition is if they brought back Saren, let us recruit Kai Leng, made my Earthborn Ruthless into a squadmate, or something like that. xD

Garrus is very well liked, for sure. I think a lot of that is because it's easy to be friends with Garrus if a romance doesn't interest you. The other characters, not so much - with very few exceptions.

I would've kept my canon FemShep single (or used fanfiction to rectify the problem) if Garrus hadn't been a romance.  She got along surprisingly poorly with Thane; they just really did not see eye to eye, especially on his whole "my body did it, not my soul" schtick.  Kaliya's an atheist, so that sat really well with her :D

I think Garrus might have competition if Wrex is a squaddie again.  My favorite reunion moment in ME2, even more than Archangel, was the look on Wrex's face when he pushes aside the krogan and greets you as an old friend.  There is nothing more epic than Shep and Wrex's bromance.

I always imagine that Wrex-Shep-Garrus is the most dangerous three-person team in the galaxy.

Wrex deals with close range, Garrus deals with long range and Shepard, well, not much more to do for him/her except keeping count of the kills I guess.

I don't think I did a lot of shooting with my Adept in ME1.  I had Garrus on sniper rifles, Wrex on shotguns.  And I'd basically spam my biotics to crowd control everything, then wait for the boys to kill it with fire.  They were my ace team.  My feeling is that Wrex wasn't in the squad for ME2 because with him, new and badass Turian Space Batman, and Shep on a squad, the universe would explode with the sheer awesome.

I miss that dream team.  As a whole, I liked the ME2 squaddies better than the ME1 squaddies, but I never had that perfect dream team in ME2.  The closest I got was Garrus and Miranda, especially on Insanity.  But it wasn't quite the same as having Wrex in all his awesomitude :(

I like Grunt too, but having back Wrex toghether with Tali and Garrus was be the only thing that would have made ME2 even more awesome than already is. But having him at the lead of a Krogan army in ME3 will be almost equal fantastic.

My "A-Team" was Kaidan and Garrus for both my Vanguard and Adept. I was screwed in that respect.

I didn't have an "A-Team," per se, but I tried to find an excuse to bring either Wrex or Garrus on every mission. Usually, I brought both.

Screw balance! The pure win of interstellar badassery cannot be contained!

My A-team was Garrus and Tali. I of course loved Garrus but in gameplay he was...to be honest...fairly useless. But no matter, the shotgun fire of me and Tali tended to help. Not sure why I brought Tali, mainly because I trained her skills to be a kind of tech tank. Ironic for a Quarian I know. I often also brought Wrex for basically the same reasons. Tank.

Never Liara, used her once, f**king overpowered. She takes all the fun out of the game by instant stasising everyone leaving me to randomly clean up.

Initially (in my very, VERY first playtrought) my A-team was Wrex and Liara. Then in next games, I found out how much bad**s was Tali agains the husks and the Thorian mosters... and the geths, and the krogans... and... well, etcetera xD She even needed the drone, in ME1 she was the only one in close combats strong as Wrex. So I started to use very ofter her too. I'v always used much Garrus too ... in general, I gave priority to the alien teammates, instead of Ashley and Kaiden. I finished to use them only in secondary missions, to have a team sometimes different with me. But Garrus or Tali, when no both, were always with me.

And after played ME2 they became my "all purpose team" ^^

I pretty much always use Wrex, Tali and Garrus... I've used Liara once or twice, specifically for her mother's mission on Noveria... I have not yet once used Kaidan and Ashley after the required beginning point that you have to use them.

Garrus and Wrex all through ME1. Occassionally one of the others.

In ME2 Garrus and Thane were always my deadly duo.

I'm working on Jerkass Infiltrator ManShep's playthrough at the moment. F-ing Garrus keeps stealing my f-ing sniper kills. I want them to be sniper buddies, but instead, it's just Garrus one-upping poor Shep because I'm not that great at sniper rifles, and ME1's stupid scope wobble is annoying as hell. Maybe I'll just spec Garrus into assault rifles for that playthrough.

Poor Miranda. I plan on romancing her, but ManShep's bromance with Garrus and Wrex will always be closer to his heart.

The fact that Garrus are all my Shepards alien b/romance is enough for me to make him my favourite teammember. The Garrbears return in ME3 is my highest wish for that game but a return of Wrex would also make me very motivated to give BioWare my money.

Garrus as a squadmate in ME3? Why, of course, me wants! If he doesn't come back, I might just not buy the game. I'd feel so... cheated.

I'm glad I never saw any spoilers or rumours about ME2, so when Archangel took off his helmet I squealed. He's just so awesome, the only thing that compares is the guy love between Turk and JD.
