Lol true Alien. Sadly, I think a lot of people dislike Garrus because they think he's boring and only does his calibrations. But that's not his fault is it.

And yeah, Jamie has been an utter blast to play--never thought I'd have so much fun with ManShep.  I pretty much pick all the snarky, mouthy, and vaguely racist options I wanted to say, but never could.  Jamie's getting (slow) character development, but this early into ME1, he's a handsome, arrogant, sarcastic, womanizing bastard who plays stupid to avoid having to work for his fame 

Does he use the that dialogue with the turian councillor about genocide, the "depends on the species, turian" line? I haven't planned out a Shepard racist enough to say that yet.

Batarian Reaper = ugliest Reaper ever.  Don't know what it is about the batarians that evokes a "yuck" response from me--maybe because they look closest to being human after asari but are still quite alien.

As for Jamie, I wish I could use that gem of a dialogue without having to kill the rachni queen, but he's not going to gas her.  He's a class-A jerk, but not genocidal.  Most of his biases are pretty benign, a "well, you're not human" unconscious attitude--except toward turians and batarians.  Batarians for the Blitz, turians for the Contact War.  Doesn't like them, doesn't trust them.

But Jamie's like your MainShep in that first impressions go a long way.  Garrus's shooting in Dr. Michel's clinic was pretty awesome.  That makes him a more-or-less ok turian in Jamie's book.  And Wrex was so full of win when they first met that Jamie doesn't even register him as a krogan.  He's Wrex, his bro.

Eh.  Like I said, video game hipsters need to die in a blender.  Games are fun and popular characters are popular for a reason   The only time I've ever experienced dislike for popular characters are when their fans get out of hand.

I think Garrus want to keep giving the thing he have with Shepard a try for some more time. But he is enough of a realist to admit that there are many reasons for it to not work.
I will just have to make a single FemShep to import to ME3 to try out the probable new guy. No way I could dump the Garrbear.

I'm kind of hoping for just one new LI for each gender in ME3.  Not for MainShep or my current ManShep, but I have one more Shepard who somehow doesn't fit with any of the existing LIs.  And sniper guy seems schmexy   I want him and Garrus to have sniping and snarking contests.

No, but it does associate the character with something distasteful.  It doesn't make the character bad and it's not their fault or the fault of the writers, but I can't deny thinking "Oh God, just shut up about her already" when I see DA:O's Morrigan fans insist that she's the most important person EVER and nothing can replace her.  And I happen to like Morrigan.

It must be the oddly shaped heads, four eyes, and creepy smiles. I can just imagine MainShep saying, "I didn't think that far ahead. This thing is nightmare fuel." And resurrected Saren trying to comfort MainShep by telling her, "Just imagine how all of those batarians died." (Sounds like something Saren would think is comforting... xD)

I have Shepards who will kill the rachni queen, but it's either out of anger because the rachni attacked them, or out of caution (in a "killing them is the only way to be safe" kind of way), so I could only get one of my Shepards to make that genocide comment if it was something they said in a fit of rage and didn't really mean it. I do have Shepards with pretty explosive tempers though. Poor turian councillor. It's his own fault for insulting Shepard about both choices.

And Jamie's opinion of Wrex reminds me of Grunt saying that Garrus isn't a turian because he's part of Shepard's clan. xD I like that line, and the one where Shepard gets to sound so defensive of Garrus when Grunt says he hates turians.

It would be hilarious if Grunt said something like that. And Grunt thinking that Shepard's crazy for turning down a krogan breeding request for Garrus just works so well...

Saren comfort is a strange, adorable thing. He knows that MainShep hates batarians, so in his mind, the fact that they were tortured should make her feel better. xD

I like having your party members comment on your relationships--it's sometimes sweet and almost always hilarious.  DA:O did this brilliantly--Wynne asking Alistair if he knows where babies come from, Leliana asking you how your LI treats you in bed, Morrigan calling you nauseating   Good times.  I'm just imagining Jack talking to my poor Shep about Garrus.

We used to use krogan pronz to welcome new fans to the Garrus chat.  The logic being that if they could handle that, the rest wouldn't break their minds
