The part where he says "i had to get you moving" in that deeper voice was like sweet sweet honey dripping all over my body. He said it all sexy like, that had to be flirting, right?

The rumor goes that Keener wasn't available at the time. But that's just an internet rumor. Grain of salt and all that.
Lol, was he doing random insurance commercial #1257 or random beer commercial #467?
I kid, I kid.

I don't know. And there's supposedly not two recordings of the same line, but I swear to GOD, it didn't sound like liquid sex in my husband's game who plays maleShep exclusively.

I just did a play through of ME1 so i can have a romance free one so as to be all garrus. I ended up having sex with kaidan anyway. Whatever, i'm just going to hit it and quit it. Thatdickdeserves it after horizon.
Happy Virmiring? xD Kidding. I like Kaidan, he is not so bad but Garrus will always be main luv... I wonder actually what will happen with Virmire romances in Me3 if you cheated them with Me2 romances. Am afraid that I will fall somehow accidentaly back to Me1 romance. Got feeling that many of people who romanced Liara first then Me2 romances went back to Liara in LotSB xD some people romanced her again accidentaly aswell (except if they were just a friends, no romanced in Me1)...
I hate this Mass Effect dialoge wheel lol... it twists things xD will they fix it??? now if they reeally gonna put this "timed conversations" I am totally scre*ed xD I will need to reload saves to many times to keep Garrus romance.
P.s Can you really really not to romance anyone in Me1? I heard that some people avoided to talk with squadmates and were rude to them but they still got picture of Liara even if they virmired romance options?
about rumor: I am sure he will be back to give Garrus voice.

My canon didn't romance anyone in the first game. She got along well with Kaiden, but then she sent him to help the salarians on Virmire. She figured they could use a biotic in their squad, and well. Protecting the bomb to make sure it went off was the main priority for her.
Currently playing another character. I told Kaiden I wasn't interested but he's still coming on to my Shepard. It's very confusing. Is there actually any way to not romance him without having to tell him off by the lockers? Because I don't think I could do that.

The rumor was for why he had no lines in LotSB, not the rest of the series. Keener's been busy this year.
And please no badmouthing other characters. We don't need to do it to support Garrus.

I think that you can shoo him in scene before Ilos aswell. Ah we are in trap! But yes it is hard. I had Kaidan an Garrus all the time in party in Me1...omg and I ended to romance both of them... I want both of them! xD but I pretty badmouthed Kaidan in real life after Horizon but now passed me. i forgave him lol.
Oh my... how I will ressist Me3 spoilers about Garrus! That wil be hard! I remember when some people got Me2 earlier and then we "black traded" spoilers in private messages xD all fans of Garrus were spoiled before they touched Me2 I am sure in that
So will you stay away from spoilers? xD If they won't give enough Garrus and you got spoiled somehow would that prevent you from romancing him when you get Me3? I mean Garrus is really great but if his romance sopouse to be meh in Me3 in way and won't get equally atention like some romances and things happens like: He leaves Shep, he is not squadmate, no enough romance, no enough conversation, he dies, he betrays, he admits that he has a kid and turian woman who he should marry xD, he bothers you with more daddy, mommy family issues, he cheats you(!)( wow imagine that xD)he can't see future in romance he leaves you beacuse he thinks it is better for you to be with your race and him to be with his etc etc. How would you react? I know many of this things he would not do it but Bioware is Bioware..but this is hypoteticaly question xD?
(what would turn you off from continuing Garrus romance?)
ah that rumor... you got me worried a little bit hehe. I thought something else!
dddd how many things I wrote...waallll of text..sorry
edit: oh btw would you like that Shep and Gar have little fight? but you know fights like couples have in relationships xD first love fight that would be great!

Tali says, "Ke-lah," - The line on her loyalty mission where she finds out about the Geth
Grunt says, "Now it gets fun!" - A line he just says in general when combat is initialized.
Samara says, "By the Goddess," - Half a line from "By the Goddess, what happend here?" which she says on side missions sometimes.
I don't know if Garrus has any recorded lines like that, so they probably just went with everyone else's.
I maybe wrong, that is just from what I remember

What do y'all think Garrus's views are on love? And what about your Shepards' views? Not blowing off steam or sex. No kidding love. Garrus seems to be pretty casual about sex (though not with Shep) if his experiences with that recon scout are anything to go by. But as we know, the Normandy seems to be SSV Intimacy Issues some days, and I wonder if Garrus is any exception to that. My own Shep has pretty crippling intimacy issues--takes Garrus the better part of two games to really break through to her.
As of ME1, Garrus had never been in love--we don't know whether the recon scout or any other potential love interest happened between ME1 and ME2, though. We know he hasn't been in love at the time of ME1 because he can't comprehend why Septimus Oraka would be so upset over a woman--something he'd undoubtedly understand all too well if he had ever been in love. I honestly don't think he's fallen for anyone by ME2, either. I'm not in the "Garrus was secretly in love with Shepard" camp. I think maybe he subconsciously has a crush on femShep, which comes to light when she propositions him (cue Garrus getting mental images of himself and Shepard, and realizing he likes that idea, a lot...).
I don't think Shepard is the be-all and end-all for Garrus in the line of love interests. If it ends with Shepard, he's a young guy and he'll find someone else. That said, I think turians are probably inclined toward monogamy and with their fundamental concerns with honor, I'd further guess that staying loyal to your mate/family is very important to them. Garrus, therefore, may not believe he's suitable as a mate/love interest, because he's not in a very stable position. Turians are relatively egalitarian, so it's not the idea of "supporting a family" that I'm referring to so much as "familial stability." Even if you have a full-time job, you probably don't want a man who is unemployed and regularly engages in criminal activity (even if he is a badass vigilante). I don't think he's looking for love or expecting to find it, so if you do romance him, he's very taken by surprise by his feelings for Shepard. I doubt he even knows he's falling for her--just look at his approach at that final romance scene. He's trying to make it a sort of date, but at first it's more like he's just there for the sex; the awkwardness could just be because the human/turian thing has him very nervous and confused, but it's more likely because he's never really been in a serious relationship that might actually go somewhere. Then if Shep doesn't chase him off, he admits that's not the case. But even if Shepard doesn't romance him, assuming he survives, I think eventually he'd end up with some nice turian. Much as the idea of him ending up with Dr. Michel amuses me, he outright tells Shepard that he doesn't have a fetish for humans, and she's been trying to contact him for ages. My guess? He knows about her little crush and would rather she let go of it. She's like his own personal Conrad Verner (who I remember gets kind of creepy-flirty with Femshep). He probably finds asari attractive and definitely turians.
But even though I don't really get the "Garrus has experience in this love thing" vibe, we know he's had casual sex at least once with another turian. At least, if he's not making things up (but I don't think he is meant to be). Given he's pretty free with the flirting with Femshep even prior to romance, I'd say that's not his only experience picking up girls if he'll even flirt casually with women of other species. Unfortunately, if that's the case, it may also mean he's less likely to be loyal to Shepard later on should you romance him. I would like to think otherwise, if only because he has such a deep respect for Shepard and wouldn't want to hurt her that way.
Since my past Shepards can't move forward to ME3 (which makes me a sad puppy because I really liked playing them), I'll answer for my new main Shepard (unless I fail at vanguard, in which case I'll have to switch mainSheps later). Sylvia's earthborn/war hero, she's a vanguard, and she doesn't have a whole lot of patience with, well, much of anything, despite being pretty good-natured (mostly paragon with some renegade behavior, especially when someone fails her patience). In terms of romance and love, she doesn't have a lot of good examples to base her own experiences on, what with being an orphan. In some ways she's as inexperienced in the emotion as Garrus. She knows what to do with friends, but if someone wanted to date her? She'd be clueless that they were hinting, and even more clueless what to do if she knew. She's also not one for flirting, since she's lacking in the charisma and social graces people raised in less hostile environments tend to have. She is familiar with casual sex, however, and doesn't associate sex with love in general--something that may change if she ever falls in love. And I don't think she wants to fall in love, because she feels it would get in the way of her career--the one thing she's managed to make for herself, despite her circumstances.

Sylvia> So, uh, Garrus, was it?
Garrus> Why aren't you--
Sylvia> You were investigating Saren, right?
Garrus> Yeah, why?
Sylvia> The Council can wait. I need intel, and I need it now.
Garrus> I'm afraid I can't--
Sylvia> Look, I'll pretend I'm not actually talking to you. See?
Garrus> You shouldn't keep the Council waiting.
Sylvia> Fine. I'll go speak to the Council. Stopping the madman can wait. He'll only endanger a few more thousand lives in the time it takes to deal with these politicians.
I think I mentioned she isn't very patient?

No problem.
I myself like them both. My title in Clan V is: "Involved in a Stupid Love Triangle," and it ain't because of Thane.
I just wanted to remind everyone to keep to the cordiality and friendliness the Garrus thread has gotten to be known for.

Personally, I think he was flirting back in ME1 in the last conversation where he thanks you for taking him with you...the way he fumbles around and trips over his tongue when he's trying to thank you, I can't hear it any other way but him trying to say "I would like to get to know you better"

Well if he isn't recruitable and is doing work to help Shepard with the Reapers from a different position, I would at least like the option to continue the romance. No DLC like with Liara, but actual in-game romance.
Well....here's to hoping that he's back as an NPC....and if not, then may he return as someone we can actually talk to like you suggest. But man, would I be angry if they did drop him.....Garrus always has my back. Aside from some loyalty missions, where his skill set wouldn't be the greatest, or where others might be slightly better, he's always in my squad. On Horizon, boarding the "disabled" Collector ship, on the derelict Reaper and then he was there when I took down that Human/Reaper Hybrid.
Like I said.....I've got a bromance with that crazy turian bastard.....

I just recruited Garrus with jerkass semi-racist ManShep. My ManShep really does not like turians. Mocks Septimus, loathes Saren, mouths off to the turian Councilor, and even disliked Nihlus. But Garrus?
Garrus (in Dr. Michel's clinic): *BOOM HEADSHOT*
ManShep: Huh. ...I guess you're an ok turian.
And there shall be epic bromance...at least, as soon as the turian son of a gun stops stealing my sniper kills

My Shep and Garrus work in a similar fashion to yours, but I go Paragon, so it's more of a "friendly" competiion between the two of them. Of course, throw Tali in to the mix and the conversation goes to a whole 'nother level...lol

Yeah.....I love the option in ME 2 where you pick on Garrus by saying that he was always ugly......and Garrus just laughs!
I also love his lampshading response: "Everyone was always hitting on me and ignoring you." You arrogant turian bastard
Garrus's laugh is possibly the best sound in the game. Actually--no. The second best. The best is Wrex's "Shepard! My friend!" But I love hearing Garrus laugh--too bad the delivery's more awkward if you say it with a FemShep and then try to romance him

I never had that problem with Garrus in ME1 (ME2 he does seem to steal my kills a fair bit). The bigest problem my sniper had was with the biotics on the team. There is *nothing* more irritating than carefully lining up a headshot only to have the target suddenly disappear from your scope as someone Throws/Pulls/Lifts him. <_<
Garrus is a truly epic bro. Only 2 of my 9 FemSheps have romanced Garrus, but ALL of them consider him their best friend, despite all my Sheps having vastly different personalities. Is there something about Garrus that makes him the kind of guy who can be friends with anyone? Or am I just biased because I as the gamer absolutely love the guy?
