I need to know one thing about ME3 before I buy it: Is my Garrbear in my squad? If yes: I throw my money at BioWare with no doubt. If not: I will not buy it at once, maybe later for a lower price.

So please BioWare: All I want for christmas 1012 or 1013 (or even later if you need the time to make a great game) is my turian bro in your ME3. But for now I wish all Garrus fans and BioWare employees a very merry christmas.

I would probably still buy it straight away, but I would be disappointed if Garrus wasn't in the squad.

Regarding sniper rifles, I think he prefers the mantis, more one-shots hehe. Personally I hate the insicor. Wish I could give him a copy of the Widow, then we'd be unstoppable.

I'm replaying ME1 and I'm not sure if I've just imagined it, but I could've sworn that you could ask Executor Pallin about Garrus. Anyone else done this or is it just my imagination?

Hey, how come YOU have a perfectly fine face and I don't?!...And why do I get the feeling it won't last long?

I would rather save his story for ME3 too. I can't see them making a DLC for him anyways because he could be dead(with Liara she can't be killed and with VS one of them is guarenteed to be alive). I have a feeling they will announce the next DLC after ME2 PS3 will be released.

Also, cute plushie :).

Of course I would prefer Garrus to be a squaddie in ME3, but I don't think it is very realistic for that to get announced some time soon... About 6 months down the line and we will start getting substantial tid bits. But I will be staying away from spoilers. It served me well last time, the archangel-Garrus reveal Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Oh, I know that they wouldn't announce it anytime soon and I hope I will be able to stay away from most of the spoilers. I was spoiled of most of ME1 and all of ME2. I want ME3 to be mostly spoiler free.

You are not imagining it. I did this in my current playthrough. What you have to do is after the first council meeting Anderson gives you leads to Barla Von(I think that's his name) and Harkin. You have to visit Pallin before going to the med clinic. I did this by going to Harkin to talk about Garrus then ran to Pallin(I'm not sure if you have to do Harkin first). When you get to Pallin you pick the dialogue option to learn about case details then he says something like "I don't make a habit of giving out case information" or something like that. Then you will have the option to say "Garrus?" and he will say a few lines about him.

Merry Christmas, Garrus thread. :) Garrus Effect 2 and the "celebrations" motivational are awesome.

Same for me. But if Shepard has an unavoidable death, I'm stopping before the end game.

I've heard of Pallin's talk about Garrus too. I'll try that out when I get around to MaleShep's replay.

It is when MainShep makes her special hot chocolate alcoholic dextro egg nog with marshmallows for Saren. xD

Completely random (but still BioWare-related), Jade Empire is awesome! :D *goes to post about it in Clan V to keep spoilers out of the Garrus thread*

Alright, first time dipping my toe in the Mass Effect board.  Santa Garrus has de-lurk powers.  LOL  Merry Christmas to all.

I just finished my first playthrough of ME1 and 2.  It took me a long time to warm up to ME but after several false starts, Garrus is really what made me want to finish.  That and discovering that I like Shepard much better as a (mostly) renegade than as paragon.

A couple of favorite shots from my run:

Keep your eyes on the mission, Shepard
Hairy eyeball as backup
We're not here to look pretty, just to get the job done
He's got your back
D'awww!

Garrus has magical sexy badass powers :wizard:  Welcome to the thread!  We are kind of insane, but generally a pretty happy lot.

Welcome to the Garrus thread! Great screenshots. I like playing as a Renegon best too, and I think that works best with Garrus.

*snerk* The power of Garrus compels! See, twitter is good for something!

Those are nice shots, too. I love your Shepard's nose.

An action shot of my own, lol-

All these pictures make me feel like digging up all my old ME2 pics I've taken. I'm feeling ME2-blue since my graphics card is dud now and I have to get a whole new system since my current computer doesn't have the hardware to hold it up.

Garrus' gunshots always look impressive when the screen is paused like that. I actually got to see him do it once when he was standing next to my Shepard (which he's been doing a lot lately, all on his own... it's adorable). I paused to use the power wheel when he was in the middle of a shot, and happened to swing the camera around to face him just by chance. So cool. Does that happen with Shepard's guns too, or is Garrus just that awesome?

I think it depends on the weapon. Assault rifles tend to make for the most dramatic pics because of the rapid firing rate and the effect when they shoot. I haven't really paid attention beyond pistols, which aren't very dramatic as the shooting effect is just a little line that's already halfway to the enemy when you pause xD

I think Garrus had his sniper rifle out when I saw it. Although, it's always possible that I didn't switch him off the default assault rifle. It seems like the shotguns should make a big boom especially the one that's krogan-made, but pausing that kind of thing in the right place at the right time isn't easy on the Xbox. The camera on the power wheel screen only goes so far.

I'd like to see Shepard paused right in the middle of firing the Cain. xD

Maybe the sniper rifle has that effect too or the one he had equipped in specific. I don't really pay much attention since I'm usually looking through the scope of one myself or otherwise distracted. I could check next time I play.

I'm normally looking at what Shepard's fighting and trying not to be killed by them. I've only recently got enough combat skill to see what Garrus is doing. It's nice that he stays near my Shepard a lot, so watching him is easier. :) I wonder if he's programmed that way.

Welcome to the Garrus side Addai :wizard: (still reading the Arrangement. It is awesome)

Speaking of the Cain. I was doing Samara's RM and was in the base, in the place where the gunship is. So, I bring out the Cain, and bloody miss. Oh well, kill the gunship the hard way. Run around and collect things. Then about 3 minutes after I fired the Cain, a sudden sound and burst of light from the far end of the city catches my eyes.

Oopsie. Hopefully nobody got hurt :innocent:

A lil off topic, but when I had the Cain, I couldn't fire it. I tried all the buttons and holding the shooting button for ages but it never fired :( So people speak of the magnitude of the Cain, but I have never fired it...

Garrus shots are awesome! Love em. I can only upload dragonage shots at the mo, got ME on xbox but not on the PC, but I will soon. Then I shall upload some Garrus pics :)

Yeah the Cain is really tricky. I think you need to have it charged at 150% to be able to use it and then you have to keep holding the fire - button in order for it to fire. It kind of sucks but the damage is awesome.

Oh and I went back and managed to get Pallin to talk about Garrus. Yay.

Thanks for posting that Aeowyn. I have never heard that conversation before. Probably because I wanted to rush off and recruit Garrus.
And thanks for telling me how to fire the Cain. It was the biggest mystery in the Mass effect world for me in all 6 of my playthroughs...

Np Tasha.

Kim, remember when we had that discussion whether there were aliens on Earth or not?
Got a screenshot when meeting Finch. Now I don't know if he means this literally or not, but there it is.

Yeah, I believe there are definitely aliens on Earth. I remember last year they had a Cerberus News Network story about SuperBowl something.... something in the time of ME2, and it said a quarterback on one of the teams was a Krogan.

EDIT: Found the article. http://www.cerberusd...com/?m=20100207

Thanks for the screenshot quotes. :) I wonder if turians on Earth are rare, or becoming more common 30 years after the war. I don't think there would have been many around during Earthborn Shepard's teen years, at least not in the areas he/she grew up in.

And it's nice that Pallin has some good things to say about Garrus. That comment about an officer breaking the rules is amusing, especially now that we know there are quite a few people in C-Sec who break rules for the wrong reasons when Garrus does it for the right reasons.
