And thus the mystery as to why his loyalty armor is all busted too.

It's chic.

I can see Shepard constantly hounding him to get new armor and Garrus's counterargument is "This is Armani! Do you know how much this cost me?"

Quite possibly the best reason yet as to why Garrus keeps the busted armour.

...So does that mean his DLC armour is also Armani, or something equally posh like Hugo Boss or something? Must be, since he accepts to wear it Posted Image

Some more guy input on the Garrus attraction.

The combination of being very agreeable and a decent person, while also not being afraid to bend and break the rules (while renegade pathing) make him feel like a good choice for at least one of my FSheps, and good friends with (so far) all my MSheps and other FSheps. It's all in his personality.

His very striking visual appearance: it's actually so different from what I think of as handsome or pretty that while not directly attractive to me, it isn't even remotely offputting either. He's just too different. I actually have more problems with the Thane romance because of his closer to human baseline looks (anthropormorphism, all humans are racist. I know, I know Posted Image).

Brandon Keener's voice. Yeah, fair play. Voices are very effective at conveying all kinds of things as well, and BK is very very good at his job Posted Image /smirk.

On his being previously involved: I don't see any reason for him not to have been involved with anyone before, although I agree that it probably wouldn't have been anything long term.

Shepard: Garrus, keeping that armor is ridiculous. We can stop by Kassa Fabrications and get you a new one.

Garrus: We've been over this already, Shepard. This is Armani.

Shepard: Fine! The crew could do with some extra provisions, but I'll simply tell them no new cooking ingredients for Gardner this time because we had to get you new Armani armor.

Garrus: That's an excellent idea. Let's go to the Emporium.

Shepard: .... I am so losing the crew's loyalty.

That will go over well with the Cerberus die-hards ;)

Oh loooool going shopping with Garrus... it reminds me of a couple of McDonald's commercials we had in Holland a while back. Couple is going to McDonald's and the wife orders a 'manburger'... male voice over: alright, if you want to be like men, we'll be women. Couple goes shopping to find some plain rain boots for the man (those ugly green ones), and he has trouble finding the right pair. "I don't like the colour" "This pair is nice... but it has ridges. I don't like ridges at all" "Oh, I think I prefer the boots in the first store we visited".

New Armor Pack for 160 MS Points. It comes with the Incisor sniper rifle. Now, I gladly paid 160 MS Points to get Garrus's armor fixed, but since then I've been adamant that any DLC I download have actual story content.

But it's the Incisor Sniper Rifle.

*goes to the corner to pout*

Also, who IS that handsome fellow next to maleShep in the promotional screenie? >;D

Someone posted screenshots in that announcement thread (second post). The funky blue lights match Garrus' DLC armor :P

For comparison, an Fshep in Standard N7 armor with a headshot visor, and a full Kestrel set:

Posted Image

Posted Image

And the stats: (and yes, they are mix and match Posted Image)

Helm: HeadShot+5%; Shields+3%; Weapon Damage +3%.
(does this mean headshot total = 8%?)

Torso: Melee +10%; Weapon Damage +5%; Shields +3%

Gauntlets: Melee +10%; Weapon Damage +3%; Shields +3%

Legs: Shields +8%; Heavy Weapon Ammo+5%

Edit: Shoulders: Shields +8%; Melee Damage +10%

That helmet is very much in line with the unofficial BioWare "we hate all the people we employed in the specialist eye animation team" policy.

If I have to say why my femshep is romancing Garrus, its because he went with her, believes her, and when asked about cerberus he goes all right shep you know what youre doing. To top it off he dosent send you an email that goes "MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE". oh ps MAYBE!

Besides Garrus is like the Batman/Punisher/Predator/and Cassanova in one.

Just imagine when he first bought it.

"And would you like a 2-year or the 4 year warrenty on your new armor?"

"Just stick with the 2-year.  What could possibly happen in 2 years?"

On Omega, the usual warranty is probably measured more in days than years. :P

So he picked it up on Omega? did he get it from a shady fellow with suits of armor under his jacket? :P
