Wow, that's a nice close-up. I think it's the most detail I've ever been able to see from the omni-tool.

And the second screenshot is hilarious. (Looks like something I would do, actually. xD "Garrus, use Overload! Wait, what hit Shepard? Oh, he was standing behind me.") You should post that in the motivationals thread as a challenge image. The possibilities are endless.

Here's a question: Does anyone think that Garrus will ever find Shepard physically attractive? We all know his line "I'm not going to pretend I've got a fetish for humans" which is basically telling us he doesn't find Shepard attractive, but do you think that will ever change?

I think that later on he might think she is attractive but never as much as a female turian.

Totally missed this because we posted at the same time.

I think Garrus will find Shepard attractive just because he has feelings for her and likes her personality. I know some people feel that way about Garrus - didn't like the look of him at first, but now that they know what his personality is like, they do. She could look more attractive to him than a female turian only because he likes her better. And his line about Shepard's waist being "very supportive" sounded like he just noticed it for the first time.

Hmm, I agree with that.

Also, Kim, the next part of the interview(the one I showed you before) is up. Saren's VA answers four questions and he gives long answers. He also says that Saren was one of his favorite roles. Here.

Thanks again! :) The interviews are awesome. Saren's VA describes him very well, and it's nice to know that my favorite character is one of his favorites too.

There are so many great quotes there, but I really like this one:

So I had to play this enthusiasm, which he hopes will be infective (he really believes in this, and it’s the first time he’s believed in anything for a long time).

Poor Saren. But wow, I was totally right about this in one of my made-up conversations between my Shepards and Saren.

This thread is awesome. I got two Saren-related "presents", one on New Year's Eve and one on New Year's day.

Haha, not really a pro. Just a twitchy finger on the screencap button. Only shots I pose are the combat ones, otherwise it's all the game.

I agree with this, I also think it's whatever he can relate best to a Turian female that he will find most attractive. And other things he'll probably come to appreciate because of how he cares for Shepard.

Low res Garrus is low res. Although that line made me laugh out loud. I've never heard it before.

I have to say, I miss the flange the turian voices had from Mass Effect 1. I don't if it's just improving audio quality (I suppose ingame it could be handwaves by updated translater software) but (I noticed this with the Quarians too) that the audio filter effect isn't as pronnounced.

You're welcome :).

I like that quote too. I think it's very interesting reading these interviews. Too bad Brandon Keener didn't do it :(.

Kim, What would you do if Saren was in some part of ME3? Not a resurrection but if somehow the plot with Saren and Sovereign has something to do in ME3?

Is that line from talking with Chorban? I never got that dialogue since I talk with him before I go to Harkin.

I think I missed it a little bit but I still really like what turians sound like now. I did notice that the overall sound quality is better in ME2 though.

I prefer the more subtle flanging, actually.  It lets me hear a little more of the actual voice under the vocal effects.  Though I do think Saren's voice benefited from the stronger effect, if only so I don't confuse Zeratul and Saren :D

...also, wow I was tipsy last night.  Last time I ever post under the influence of several glasses of champagne.

I've thought of that before, if Saren's influence in ME3 was Shepard finding some of his research that would help against the Reapers, Shepard remembering the effects indoctrination had on him if it's a big plot point in ME3 (like if Shepard is indoctrinated), or something. I hope for this stuff, but don't really expect it. Like Evolution. So what would I do? First of all, because I'd know about it from reading spoilers ahead of time, I'd post a lot of "Thank you, BioWare! You're awesome!" Then I'd buy the game on day one (obviously), play it for hours, and ask for screenshots and youtube videos from those of you who got to the Saren scenes before I did. xD And, of course, hope that the dialogues sound in-character for MainShep. That shouldn't be too hard though, because it was easy to play a Shepard in ME1 who loves Saren and have none of her lines contradict it.

Me too.

In ME1 about Garrus: Wow, his voice is so alien and sexy Posted Image.

In ME2 about Garrus: Posted Image Posted Image MY GOD THAT VOICE IS EVEN SEXIER Posted Image Posted Image

Lol, So I asked this a long time ago(months) when I first started posting here but since we have more people now I'll ask again:

What do you like better: ME1 Garrus or ME2 Garrus? There can be many reasons why you like one better then the other, voice, dialogue, quests, romance, look, personality(he is much more serious in ME1), anything. So tell me why you like one better then the other or why you like both.

For me I like both Garruses. I like Garrus' personality more in ME2; he is more funny, he feels more like an equal to Shep and I don't know I like it better but that's not to say that I don't like ME1 Garruses personality. I loved him in ME1.

I know that neither Garrus got a lot of dialogue in the games but for quality, I have to say they're even on this one. Garrus in both games is always the last person I talk to in my games because I like to save the best for last. I love hearing him talk but then sad when the conversation ends. We technically did have more dialogue with Garrus in ME2 though because of loyalty and recruitment missions.

I like Garrus' upgraded graphics and the scars(I think he looks so adorable during his ME2 RM) but I can't say I'm a fan of the bandage(I wonder what it will look like when it comes off?). But either way Garrus is still a smexy turian so I never dislike how he looks. I like how all turians look.

I have to say that I like the Sidonis quest better then Saleon. We got much more dialogue from Garrus and we get to influence him more. I loved it so much, I was sad when it ended. I can't wait to see how the outcome will effect ME3(hopefully more then his ME1 decisions did).

I like his ME2 voice better(subtle flanging).

And of course, the romance. I loved it so much. The romance felt so natural(I haven't done any of the other ME2 LI's yet, so I don't know how they stack up in that department) and the final dialogue and the headbump was really touching for me. And I like when he goes to touch the back of his hand with Shep's arm when it fades-to-black. And I thought it was a really nice touch that he is only available as romance to Sheps who recruited him in ME1. I can't wait to see how this develops.

So even though I love both Garuses alot, I'm going to have to go with ME2 Garrus. He's seen so much character development between games and I think it makes him an even better character. But I always get a little excited everytime in ME1 when going up to the Citadel Tower and meeting him for the first time.

Oh and even though I was pretty sure that Garrus was Archangel (because the mercs said he was a turian and I read they had an Alternate Appearence Pack with him) I still ended up sqeeing. And I can't help but love the "If I wanted to take more then you're shields down, I'd have done it" line. I still can't understand why the whole encounter sounds flirty with FemShep but not with ManShep even though it's the same dialogue.

Really? That's awesome! And IIRC when I was reading the interview I posted a while ago the guy that did Sovereign actually plays games. And he played ME1 too.

I don't think there's much difference between ME1 and ME2 Garrus. He's a bad boy in the right direction- renegade who likes to do good- that was the case in both games. Because he's a Turian he was trying to do that in proper channels and maybe seeing Shepard have a freer hand convinced him to go freelance. I do love the term Archangel. It's also good that he had to face the reality that his crusade didn't go very far. That makes his story more grounded. He's slightly more cynical in ME2, but having a larger cause to throw himself at allows him to keep at least some of his idealism. I think his story is the best writing of the game, along with Jack and Mordin.

I've heard that in a few interviews with different actors, so yeah, it's true. Even though I'm not sure why they wouldn't want to watch themselves playing these awesome characters.

I like them both. Can't really choose one over the other. It's like Revelation Saren and ME1 Saren - he changed over time, but is still very much the same person.

I agree that there should be more involving Saren's character. What I want to know most of all is information about his brother and the First Contact War, and BioWare is doing that with Evolution. Even if there's nothing about him in ME3, I'm glad they're going to answer those questions. Another thing I want to know is more details about his indoctrination and the events of those 20+ years after he found out about Sovereign though, and that could work well  in ME3. Either way, BioWare is awesome for creating Saren and answering my questions. :D

Hey, I just realized something, related to the interview from Saren's VA. He said that Sovereign was the first thing Saren believed in for a long time. So I'm thinking, if Shepard persuades Saren at the end and gets through to him, that means Shepard is the last thing Saren believes in before he dies? That'll make my MainShep happy, except for the part where Saren dies.

Poor MainShep, maybe if she plays nice to TIM he can resurrect him for her :)

I liked both Garruses. He matured a bit in ME2 and the fact that they're now equal is always a plus. Plus, you know, the fact that I get to defile him in the second game is always a plus.

Still, the "if there's anything, ANYTHING, I can do Commander, just let me know." in the first game always cracks me up :innocent:
