@Squeeze The Fish

I think it's all just fan stuff. (I say this cuz, I have a fic of him and Lia Shepard...uh, er with bite marks, scars ect.) Just stuff that comes to mind, others think it could be true and fallow using the same kind of stuff. Or people just like to right that.

I'm pretty sure it's all fan stuff...since, well, BioWare won't tell the fans anything basic! Really?

Oh...where was I? Right, yeah, just fan wrtten, but hell, it could be real...I need to go write more fanfiction, just because I can..

And the message, nobody gets it...for any romance, ever. It's strange since he tells you he will but he never does, heh.

@Pacifien

I agree with you on the timeline stuff...it's confusing me way to much!

Yeah, the biting (and, as far as I know, the "marking" of a mate) is fanon--I haven't seen a canon reference to it, and I've looked. If anyone has a canon reference, I'd love to see it.

I know what you mean. That's really why I'm asking in the first place, I'm so tired of seeing the same things and wanted to step 'outside the box' but not if it was canon.

I like the fringe thing, and it's hinted at in game, but the biting is entirely fanon. And stolen from werewolf sex scenes. For some insane reason.

I don't think I want to know...:?

Anyway, I have a garrus fan fiction out that is not about his romance (mshep) but instead about his self confidence and how shepard decides to fix it.

Maybe for others...in mine there's only a bite to represent the human wedding ring. Bite marks look like rings, so that's what my idea was...
Strange, maybe. Different from the other reasons others write it, yes. I was bored when writting it, a little.Posted Image
Does this make any sense to anyone??

It's a better reason than him just being an "animal" in the sack.   For decent turian sex scenes, read Warlordfil.

I didn’t mean to imply that there was anything bad with adhering to the fringe/hip/biting thing (which shall now be referred to as FHB). More or less, I wanted to be able to stray from that without breaking canon and I’m glad to know that I can.

@Shadow_Soul- kudos on putting your own spin/reasoning on the biting.

@Sialater- I agree wholeheartedly on reading Warlordfil.

Um, what's Warlordfil? I really don't know so, would you tell me?

On another note, I have written a few little snips of stories for Lia and Garrus. So, once I type them up, I'll post if you guys are intrested...

Hmm.. I haven't really read much fanfiction but the biting thing just screams "vampires" to me and kinda makes me shudder to think about. I think one of the trickier things to think about regarding sexy time between turians and humans is that turians have much harder bodies. They have talons, long teeth, and no lips. You have to accomodate for those differences. And the pelvis/legs are much different.

I tend to gloss over the details when doing a "romance" scene because I like to leave things up to the imagination (and don't want to start writing dirty sexy fanfics, I grew out of that years ago). I imagine erogenous zones are similar to birds.. like if you've ever had a pet parrot and you know that scratching it behind its head is something it will get pleasure from. And generally any area that isn't covered by carapace or plating is probably going to be more sensitive.

I kind of think half the fun is the two of them learning the difference between their anatomy and working with it, like two teenagers who have never had sex before. I imagine there is lots of touching because kissing isn't exactly an option (well, not for Garrus anyway). Not sure whether to take the "do not ingest" comment too seriously or not but I tend to take note of it.

Thanks Squeeze, Sai. I'll give the fics a read.

Leonia, your right, but I guess you juust to have imagine them kissing (I've seen some really good art that's been done of it) I see your point, though.

Reply to bolded: The thing is though, the official codex describes turian plating as simply being "thicker skin", if I recall, that offers no extra (physical) protection. I don't know if it's quite as rough as fanon seems to think (not that I'm implying you have an opinion one way or the other). Also, Mordin only mentions "chafing" as being a concern as opposed to scratching or tearing.

My own theory is that the plating is more callus-like than anything else. But again, that's just me.

I write it as if it were as tough as a boot sole. Still flexible, but thick.

^^^ that's a good theory too.

I DO wonder about the fringe though. It's got to be somewhat flexible, right? Otherwise wouldn't it like, snap off if a turian were to fall on his/her back?

Oh I agree, I think of the plating as being more like hardened leather, a bit flexible but not hard as steel. Still, I imagine the not covered bits of the skin would be more sensitive.

I'm sort of split on the fringe though.. you do see turians with different fringes, some have it sticking straight out and others have it laying closer to their head (like Garrus, though sometimes it seems to stick out more). I imagine it's similar to the asaris "tentacles" but probably more flexible than that.

And certainly we see Saren sporting a different way of "wearing" the fringe (he does seem to have a lot of variation in his apperance from other turians, shows off his talons and has all those crazy cybernetics).

I think it's like boot soles over skin or hide. Might feel suedish. But yeah, the fringe has to be cartilaginous, or he'd have been far more injured when he rolled over on his back after the rocket to the face.

That scene always tugs at my heart strings, even though I know he isn't dead. I always panic when that  gunship shows up.

(Sorry guys for this, but I have accidentally in my ME1 playthrough gotten in some sort of fling with Alenko...I need help!)

How do I dump him? I'm mid way through the game (level 33) and I plan for it to be my mega carry-on game through ME2 and ME3...

I don't want Garrus to get angry at me in ME3... -_- Or angry at Alenko.

I was in your position. Unfortunately, you might be "locked in" to his romance if you're too far into it as I was; be sure to pick more renegade or neutral options, mentioning protocol, etc. to try and get him to back off.

If you're already locked in then you can always deny him the romance scene, but the game will still count it as a romance.

Heh I'm rather looking forward to a confrontation between Alenko and Garrus in my ME3 playthrough.. I'll just grab some popcorn and see how it pans out.
