Re: biting during sex scenes. On my end, I relate turians to birds more than anything, and coming from the perspective of someone who use to raise ducks...well, those little quackers bite the hell out of their partner's necks while engaging in *ahem* activities. I'm talking pulling out feathers, occasionally breaking the skin biting. All with just beaks. I DO think a lot of people include it in their scenes as a holdover from other fandoms, or just because of their own predilections (I mean, if it gets a person hot in real life, they're likely to use it in their fiction) but it does hold some weight for me based on my animal husbandry background. (Weird, I know, but still so very, very true.)

I agree that the fringe/waist thing likely spawned from Garrus comments, but I think that there could be some basis for that just based on how the plating on Garrus' neck seems a bit different than the rest of the head. I could imagine it being more sensitive. Plus, they gotta have erogenous zones right? The neck/fringe area is as good as any. Again, a lot of people probably just build off what they themselves enjoy, and quite a few people enjoy having their hair/scalp touched by their partner. No reason the same couldn't be applied to turians. (And it's certainly less problematic than making their e-zones located behind their knees or on their spurs. Not nearly as hilarious, but less problematic ;-P)

That's what I'm doing for ManShep.  But TBH, I think I'm gonna have the most beautiful fireworks there ever were during my romance confrontation.

Kaidan and Garrus are both fairly nice, polite guys.  But ManShep romanced Ash...and then dumped her after Horizon for none other than Little Miss Perfect...Miranda Lawson.  IS GONNA BE EPIC

Well, I really, REALLY want some confrontation with the VS if you dumped him/her for one of the ME2's LI. Kaidan might be more open-minded, but Ash? 

"So... I was right on Horizon seeying that now you go with that Cerberus witch!"

"A biotic psycho, Shepard? Really?"

"Tali!? How you two can even be toghether? At least Liara could satisfy your... physical needs."

Heh, it's just that I really like Garrus and I don't want the romance to be trodden on in ME3. "Shepherd...we went into this without knowing what would come of it-but, now it seems to me you are just on some sort of ridiculous fling through the galaxy-" blah blah blah Garrus could say.

I like drama. But not this type. Maybe Garrus will be understanding though... :/


Addition: Wasn't there some way to edit your decisions outside of the game? o_o Thought someone made a guide on how to do so...

If you got locked into the romance scene, you could always kill Kaidan on Virmire (well, save Ashley.)

The comment that comes up on the ME2 load screen is that.

'Pursuing a romance with someone in ME2 may have serious consequences on your ME1 romance.' It goes something like that anyway. I always thought this implied that the ME1 LI will 'shun' you as opposed to the ME2 LI. So I'm happy

Garrus will have known if you were with Kaidan or Liara previously, and he mentions if you are flirting with someone else in ME2 that he doesn't want to be caught up in 'a stupid love triangle.'



Soooo, I always thought this meant Garrus and my femshep considered the Horizon to be the end. And if Kaidan thinks otherwise, then... Let the drama begin!

My FemShep who romanced Garrus didn't go for anyone in ME1. I have a few playthroughs planned for "cheating" Shepards though - a FemShep who romances Kaidan in ME1 and Jacob in ME2 (she's not going back to Kaidan after Horizon, so she'll either stay with Jacob or a ME3 romance option - hoping for Kal'Reegar), a MaleShep who romances Ashley in ME1 and Miranda in ME2 (stays with Miranda), and EvilShep who romances Liara and Miranda and recruits Morinth just to use them all (he'll need to hide behind a biotic barrier in ME3).

There will be more, no doubt. I keep planning out Shepard after Shepard, including one with split personalities. That'll be amusing when they each romance different people. The plan so far - #1 romances Ashley, #2 leaves her on Virmire due to battle strategy, #2 Renegade romances Jack, #1 romances Miranda and destroys the Collector base, #2 is angry and tries to fix things with TIM. I'll finally get to hear the adorable dialogue that confused Garrus gets when Shepard tells him equal Paragon and Renegade stuff. He'll still go Renegade for both missions though. #1 wants to save Sidonis and talks to him, but #2 takes over and steps out of the way.

The moral of this long post? Garrus, be glad you don't have to romance any of these Shepards.

I'm glad they gave you the option to end the romance with someone in ME2. Of course I would never do that to Garrus, but in general it's a much better alternative than ME1's method of breaking up (okay, game, I don't want to romance Kaidan anymore, but blowing him up? I'm not one of those crazy girlfriends!).

Also, I was thinking the other day, Garrus thread. In ME2 we were only able to re-customize Shep because s/he died. I wonder how they're going to find an excuse for customization come ME3 if they implement it? Although I highly doubt they would pull the same stunt, I do not want to die on Garrus twice

No idea about the face re-customization. One theory I read is that Shepard will be considered a criminal by the time of ME3 and have the option to change his/her appearance because of it. That's one of the better theories.

Ooh, nice picture finds, Mesina. I like 'em. What game? I want to say FallOut but I'm pretty sure that's not it...or BioShock because of the colors. I haven't played the games in a while so just my guesses...



With the whole "cheating" thing, my main romanced nobody in ME1 just Garrus in ME2, my second Shep isn't going to romance anybody ever, while my third Shep is the same as my first. I'm planning on making one that romances Liara in ME1, then somebody else in ME2.

I always end up sending Ashley with the Salarians then saving her to save the most lives...oh well, she's a good character as well. Kaidan has never been a problem for me because of this.



I like that theory, Kim. It makes sense. (Spectre -> Zombie -> Convict) lol. As long as certain characters are back, I really don't care if we can change how Shepard looks or not.

Wow, I love this theory. I would also love to see aged and cracked 'wanted' posters of Shepard. Preferably with bullet holes .
Garrus will still recognise her though, he miraculously recognised my femshep when she had a facial reconstruction and different hair colour and style. 'Impressive.'

I would really like to see "escaped convict" Shepard in ME3. Probably because I like those kind of movies. But wouldn't it be awesome if all of the specialists on the team had a special part in trying to break Shepard out, and the more of them that died in the suicide mission, the more Shepard has to fight through on his/her own? Garrus could totally lead teams and be a sniper. It should also be possible for Shepard to do most of the escape work and shock the team, because my Earthborn Ruthless is awesome like that.

Garrus: You killed all of those guards on your own? Impressive.

Garrus: I thought you were a little too familiar with them when we recruited Jack.

Do you have a save right before Virmire?

I hate romance traps too. >_< Still have to replay ME1 with my current MaleShep because of it. (And Liara's the one who trapped him, so Virmire's not an option.)

@Aeowyn: When I made MaleShep tell off Liara by the lockers, he still got the almost-kiss. And he was mean. Really. I was angry. xD They can be told to leave at the final romance scene, but if I remember right, the game still treats it as a romance in ME2.

There is the new option (in a couple of days) of using the interactive comic to replace/supplement your ME1 playthroughs. Pretty sure you can pick who you want to romance in that too.

While the save editor lets you change the choices you made in Mass Effect 1 those changes will NOT be adjusted in your current playthrough. So you need to mod those choices on an importable ME2 save(ie one AFTER the game's end) and then import it into a new playthrough.

Almost gave up when I saw all the technical stuff. It confuses me. xD So the answer for how it's done must be in that thread, but don't ask me where.
