I agree with Aeowyn. I think he was the kinda person who was polite and amiable enough to everyone, but he seems like the kind of person who would have a few close friends. Although saying that, he is a natural leader, so he could have potentially been a popular individual perhaps?

He wants to check out Flux in the first game, so I think a social life existed, but bringing criminals to justice took priority.

And it seems he likes to gamble. xD He keeps telling my Shepards that if they feel lucky, they should visit the casino in Flux. I got pretty good at that game because of it though.

We musta posted at the same time. Glad you like the Saren screenie, that was when he was talking to Matriarch Benezia near the beginning. And I do apologise for the' Argh! Rargh Argh!' subtitles, hehe! My hearing is pretty bad. But it is a mint picture, love the lighting and how they have even got the inside of the mouth detail. Sometimes when Garrus opens his mouth, it is just this silver colour inside?

Speaking of the gambling thing, that was something ME2 didn't have. Bioware usually put a few mini games in their games. I think it was just shooting Pyjaks on Tuchanka in ME2. But I guess there are the bypass/hacking things. No card/gambling games though.

And yeah, that's the line he has! So I think he has a social life, he seems to be up to date on things going on in the Citadel.

They found her annoying at first and they felt uncomfortable when they had to deal with asari digging around in their heads. They also honestly dont get why the rest of the universe finds them so attractive. That's why the added "EVERYONE finds asari attractive" line irked me in LotSB. Its like straight women and gay men don't exist in the mass effect universe  Oh yeah they don't.

To look on the bright side, the comic may suck, but at least it's something. I'm glad they didn't just throw ME2 at PS users without letting us import choices (the most important part for me) and make us use a set of "standard" choices.



I know people who haven't played ME (I have) are missing out on a lot here, but you can't really replace a game no matter how you look at it.



Again, I'm agreeing that the comic DID suck and could have been done differently/better...but it's better than nothing.

Does anyone else think that the reason a lot of the other choices are left out is b/c the choices that are actually in there are the ones that are going to be considered/impact ME3?

You don't overlook girl like that, even discounting the 'not-into-humans' bit, if you aren't over-focused on something.  Another girl, life, job, ect...

The way he talks about his dad with so much admiration in response to 'seeing him on the vids after a big arrest,' I think that C-Sec might have been his attempt at being a good turian.  Just my opinion though.

@Tasha: I always play with subtitles too. I don't mind them in screenshots - most of the time, it helps me figure out what scene the picture is from. I knew Saren was about to rage and start growling just by looking though. I have a save right before that scene (and every other Saren scene).

Garrus almost seems to know too much about what's going on in the Citadel, but I guess that comes with being a cop. xD That line about, "You can find anything for sale in the Wards, legal or otherwise." Not sure if those are his exact words.

@Hyrule_Gal: None of my FemSheps find the asari attractive. Some of my MaleSheps find some asari attractive. They're like human women - it's possible to think they're all attracive, but it's rare. For the same reason why they aren't attracted to Ashley, Miranda, and Jack all at the same time, my MaleSheps who like asari have certain "types." I will have a MaleShep who romances Liara, and he loves her. That doesn't mean they all feel the same way. >_<

The only reason MainShep mind-melded with any of them was because she wanted to find Saren. At that point, it's almost one of those "no matter the cost" situations. And I imagine Liara knows why too. I mean, it's MainShep - a mind connection with her will no doubt let you see Saren-related thoughts.

You know, maybe I'm wierd, but I never thought the 'everyone finds asari attractive' line was meant to imply shep did,  Considering the banter in the cab, I thought it was a continuation of that sort of thing.  Maybe it's interpretation.

But the whole 'every asari  hits on you' thing.  Yeah, I have a t-shirt for that!

Are you doing a revision of the comic then Sia? Or am I reading this wrong? If so, then that would be amazing! Be sure to feature Garrus, strongly



He does know everything that goes on in the Citadel, and I'm pretty sure that Flux was a very new 'Gentlemen's club' at the time. He also mentions how he doesn't like the Flux music, but that is what he plays in the romance scene.

Some asari are attractive, Tela Vasir, Sha'ira and Samara are, in my opinion. But yeah, they are like humans, some are, some aren't. But I never interpreted that line to be Shepard hitting on Liara anyway, so it doesn't matter to me. I was just so glad that Shepard finally admitted that she was fighting for Garrus!

I interpreted it as Shep meaning, "Other species all find asari attractive," kinda like what's shown in the bachelor party.  Also as Shep giving Liara some crap--one of my favorite things in LoTSB was their adorable banter.

I like Liara just fine, so I'm ok with her relatively plot-enhanced role.  But I can definitely see how disliking a plot-important squaddie would make dealing with that character's prominence pretty awful.  I mean, I've disliked every other BioWare leading NPC up until Dragon Age (with the exception of Imoen).

I don't like what I've read about LotSB, that Shepard and Liara will act like friends even if Shepard was mean to her in every scene they had together before the DLC. Hopefully there are options that sound less friendly, because when Shepard acts out of character... it's just wrong, very wrong. Even if the "attractive asari" line was meant to be a joke, my FemShep wouldn't make a joke like that (but it doesn't matter, she wouldn't invite Liara to her room and the talk would never happen).

Anyway, enough of that. Let's move on to better, turian-related things. *stares at the Saren screenshot*

Here's a turian-related romance question. How would your Shepards spend Valentine's Day with Garrus or the turian of their choice (Saren, Nihlus, Lorik, too many to list because they're all so awesome)? Yeah, that was the first thing I could think of.

Hm...My main Shepard would just spend her day with Garrus, letting Kelly throw whatever a party she wanted, as long as she ended up with him, she's happy. Oh, she'd find some of that dextro-chocolate stuff, and of course the wine and vids! But not those romantic vids, horror vids! Since, well, I'm pretty sure neither of them would like to watch that mushy crap. As well as it would end up like the oe time he downloaded horror vids for her and they ended up in the dark, watching horror vids with no clothing! Although she'd try to be all classic and all but fail.

This perfectly describes a Valentine's Day doubtle date between MainShep/Saren and FemShep/Garrus. Then MainShep and Saren go out to blow stuff up for real. xD
