By the way, the female turian in the evolution comic has been confirmed to NOT HAVE BOOBS, I repeat, the female turian does NOT HAVE BOOBS. That combined with the lost grounds keeper dialogue about funny bumps means we're in the safe zone.

Yeah, but according to a forumite she lacks a fringe as well.

So I'm not taking anything from the comics as fact.  Frankly, all the screw-ups from all the DH Mass Effect comics leaves me unwilling to consider anything they might try to show or tell as lore.  Mainly the "show" part.  And if I took the "no boobs on DH femTurian" as solid evidence, that means I'd have to do the same for the fringe.  Unless a turian fringe is something they can clip/file down and have grow back, like hair...

I place more weight on what Garrus and frat-party turian have to say about the existence of female turian fringes.  I hope the cut groundskeeper dialogue is enough evidence to support the lack of boobage on female turians...and I hope that is the case.  Having more alien aliens is something I strongly support. :D

EDIT:

...I just saw the scans.  Please excuse me while I go stab my eyes out and drown in acid.

That female turian does look strange. o_o The lack of fringe makes them appear bald. xD Thanks for posting it though.

That's right, he appears on one of the variant covers, in a burning Citadel council chamber scene interestingly enough. It might be possible he might appear but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they don't show him, it'd be pretty lame if TIM was the one responsible for killing his brother, thus making him responsible for his hatred of humans. Surely the galaxy is not that small.

I think they just did that to make sure people knew it was really Saren, in case we wouldn't be able to recognize him as easily at age 18 and before the implants. I hope TIM's not the one who kills his brother, just because Saren and TIM are two of my favorite characters, but volume two did say something about TIM meeting up with other villains from the series while they showed a picture of Saren. I definitely want to see Saren in the comic, and I don't doubt that he'll be involved at some point. Probably volume two.

Okay. Aside from the reality that DH's ME comics have been horrifically atrocious in the past...is there a chance that maybe the context is being misunderstood regarding baldy? Perhaps that isn't a female turian? Maybe? Hopefully? Please, God?

Somehow they look more.. male than the males do. And the short fringe thing- though I'm hoping they just look like that in the comics, I guess it kinda makes sense that the females are less "flashy", since that's what it's normally like with most animals. But since they're humanoid I would have liked them to be more similar to human women...

How dissapointing. Can't believe. So we can expect them to look like this in Me3? This is some kind of blashemy I dunno xD.

Oh or there is maybe female Turians with fringe and without? o.O

What fringe, though? It's not even a short fringe...it's a non-existent fringe! And wasn't there an in-game comment about how humans had difficulty telling their males apart from their females? And don't both Garrus and frat-party turian mention females having fringes? This is the opposite of having a fringe. This is...NOT having a fringe. Hell, this doesn't even look like a tur--Oh, wait. Right. Dark Horse. DH can't even make turians look like turians.

This times a million. The asari have enough boobage to satisfy the masses, the turians don't need any.  I'd like to think that this turian purposefully took hers off or had them taken off. I look at them like scaley feathers so maybe they can be taken off with force.

Maybe it's a "Dark Horse can't do a professional ME comic" thing. I just...I'm just... *shakes head...is at a loss for words*

Maybe it's because my head canon's being screwed with in a huge way, although I'd like to think it had at least been supported in some small way with already established canon, but this is just atrocious Dark Horse. I'm going to have to wait until ME3 to see what BW itself makes them out to be, because I know DH can't even get male turians right. Hell, DH can't get even the established HUMAN characters right.

Oh, Spirits.
Why did I look at those pictures? >
"She" looks like Skeletor!
DO NOT WANT. >P

(to clarify: I meant the two pics from the comics, not any of the great fan art created by people who apparently CARE about the ME universe)

What.

Ok. Comic canon is completely and utterly separate from game canon. Unless we see females like this in ME3, I'm just going to call bull on DH.

It could very well be the artist following Mac Walter's instruction/description of a female or that he forgot or plain didn't specify and the artist had to tweak some sort of difference of his own.

But thing is, female turians DO have fringes. It's not just some crackpot theory of ours. Why else would Garrus even comment on the whole fringe thing in the romance scene? And why would the turian in the bachelor party comment on it as well? Honestly Dark Horse, I am disappoint.

It's DH, lol, at this point you know they aren't going to detail with facial markings.

It seems like they are going the more avian route with the females, being duller, smaller, while the males remain with fabulous fringes and what not. Sexual Dimorphism fail in my book.

Edit* I am really hoping its different in -game for ME3 though:(

QFT.  D;

If they have SHORTER fringes or something, I'm cool with that.  But hell, there's not a fringe in sight for that poor...thing.  Whatever it is.  I'm told it's a turian, but none of the turians look much like turians and that one DEFINITELY only bears maybe a passing resemblence.  Hell, look at the face flap/mandible/things.  It's like the poor thing was mutilated. D; So much for having protection from the Palevenian sun!
