Wow, that female turian art is...something else. I don't accept it as canon. Garrus says turian ladies have fringe, so they have fringe. That is all.
You're right, and probably we should all just ignore it as wrong according to canon. It's just hard to accept that someone took all the trouble to draw that...and it's so contradictory...I don't get it.

Do you KNOW how hard it is to write a love scene with an alien?

No, but I'm imagining how much fun it's going to be to *read* it!
You can do it...we have faith in your skills!

I think the problem is that they didn't take enough trouble. Something went wrong at the art direction level.kglaser wrote...

I think I'm going to go with that last one. It pleases me the most, and it's better than casting blame where it might not belong.

Watch them be super hawt and they don't want to share them with humansciaweth wrote...
Actually, it's not fair of me to speculate on where exactly the problem in communication about canon and the comic art happened. It could have happened in a thousand different places, or in one giant DERP in a department we aren't thinking of. Maybe Dark Horse has BioWare by the short and curlies in some kind of contract where they say, "You'll take our crap art and you'll LIKE it." Maybe turians are interfering with the art in real life because they don't want us to know what they look like yet.

I'll answer any questions you guys have about the turians, but first, some basic info -- [SPOILERS AHEAD!]
- I like Desolas, and not just because he looks like Saren. He's awesome. I also like the dialogue between him and TIM. They both make a few sarcastic jokes about the other one's species.
- I'm getting used to looking at the fringe-less female turian, but you guys are right that it doesn't fit what Garrus and bachelor party turian said about them. Her uniform was also slightly different than the males', in case you didn't notice and want to look again. It looks like a form of "shirt dress" and reaches down to her knees. She also has a sash-type thing, and a different collar shape to her armor.
- That awesome lightning thing? It makes husks, but a more advanced form of them. They were bigger, stronger, and took more bullets to go down - unlike the husks we see in the game, which appear to be thin and close to Shepard's height.
- Not sure if it's a coincidence, but most of the turians aside from Desolas (General) and Abrudas (Lieutenant) wear the same red and purple armor. Military standard for soldiers, perhaps? Desolas' armor was the same style, but different colors - blue/gray/silver.

Retribution didn't actually give a description - it just said that Anderson could tell them apart by appearance. And yes, the comic is out in some stores. I found it in a comic store because the major book stores didn't have it yet.Timerider42 wrote...
Doesn't seem to fit the portrayal in the last novel either.
