If you check back a few pages, there's a link to a picture in Evolution of a female turian. Unfortunately, she has no fringe.
Here, allow me to do a public service my minimizing the need for a search:

Personally I'm still not quite sure what to make of this. I may very well just put it out of mind until I see some kind of concept art or rendering from Bioware and ME3 that either confirms this interpretation or blows it out of the water completely.

Anyway, I'm happy I found the comic.

I don't remember if it's been pointed out in this thread or not yet, but the completely bald head, among other things, kind of contradicts the turians evolving all those plates to protect against Palaven's natural levels of radiation. Now, this is just rampant speculation, but the bald head could be a misinterpretation/design oversight on DH's part when Bioware were trying to convey something similar to the traditional plates instead of the male's fringe.

Still like the look of the males better, though.

Turians don't look "male" to our standards, either. But their design is still attractive in an aesthetically pleasing sense.

Well, that turian. I'm disappointed that there isn't anything attractive about her design, but like I said, because the males look more female then the females, that's something that's alien.

You mean, shorter stubbier plates than the long thin sweeping ones the males have? I'll buy that.
Exactly. I'm calling mis-communication on this one. Whether I'm right or not remains to be seen. We'll just have to wait for ME3 to come out. After all, waiting for the next game to come out is how we settled the male quarian debate/.
... I'm also not calling outright incompetence on Dark Horse's part. Over the past few days I think we've all played that card enough that it isn't in anyone's decks anymore.

I guess one of the things that bothers me is that without the fringe she looks more humanoid and that's one of the last things I wanted. But I guess that's DH's fault for rounding their heads out.
But they already had round backs to their heads. The pointy parts are just not there for that character.

Is it just me, or does it look like they left off the mandibles, too?
It's just in that one shot. They're there in the other one.

Good...'cause in that shot, they almost look like this Garrus with the somewhat humanoid chin:

(disclaimer: I always got a kick out of this picture, just wasn't too crazy about the chin of Garrus in it)

I'm just being nit picky, but their heads are actually longer then that.TMA LIVE wrote...

If you compare her with this image you'll see what I mean. But, again, I'm just being nit picky.

Looking back at other pictures of her in the comic, her mandibles are shorter, come down to the bottom of her chin, and only have one piece pointed down at the end instead of two. Basically, it's like the male mandibles minus the larger piece that points down. I'm fine with that interpretation.kglaser wrote...

If I didn't love my current avatar so much, I'd be tempted to use that as my new one.

...I just realized why I think the female turian looks so masculine and strange to me in the first picture, but I got used to her appearance in the later pictures. With the green tint in her skin and the round, bald head, she reminds me of a batarian from the side-view. All or most of the pictures after that are front-view, where it's not as obvious.
