Fringeless Garrus can confuse people. xD (Edit: it also makes people spell fringe wrong. *facepalm*)kglaser wrote...

that fringeless Garrus makes me cry. in fact, it seems a lot of those comic artists don't even know how to draw turians at all. that makes me cry as well.

I think the comic has well-drawn turians, but the art isn't always consistent. Sometimes they have front teeth (which they shouldn't have), and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they have human eyes too. I still like them though, mainly Desolas. He reminds me of Saren - it's the colors, the fringe shape, the eyes, and his expressions. I would be really surprised if that guy has no relation to Saren,or wasn't based on him.

I guess consistancy is the word I was looking for. I'm a artist, I understand with comic book stuff that it takes a lot of work and sometimes you have to be less detailed or such so you stay within deadlines; but heaven forbid doodling them so fast that they loose their amazingness.Kim Shepard wrote...
What a horrible image for a new Garrus fan to see. xD Someone, post a more attractive picture of Garrus!

And the fringe is the one bit of him that Leo Shepard is the most eager to touch. I'm going to work that into the fanfic some where and if ever I can learn how to draw turians.. I have a very touching fanart concept as well.

I found two pics of the Female Turian from the GameSpot Forums here.
And here at the images in question:

Somewhat OT, but when I looked at the forum link you shared, someone was commenting about, "What is this fringe you speak of? IT'S A CREST. Fringe=bangs. WTH..."
Um, WTH to YOU, sir. You're obviously not a true ME fan. *scoffs*
(I hate crap like that.)

You know, my main concern if Garrus (or any other turian) lost his/her fringe would be...doesn't that protect your skull/brainmeats? Please, wear your helmet when we're not shipboard. I don't anything hurting your soft spot!

Here in America, bangs are bangs. As stupid as that name is, we don't call it fringe or anything else. LOL

Turians' fringes, and all of their plates, are supposed to protect against radiation from Palaven's sun. Their skulls should be hard enough that the female turian wouldn't be hurt any worse than a human after a hit to the head.

Either way, head wounds bleed like a b!tch. That would concern me a great deal.

Why does this make me bring up the question, "I wonder what the turian equivalent of a toupe would be?"

I meant a turian skull would probably be protected as well as a human skull from injury, not radiation. They messed up there on the female turian. There are lighter plates on the back of the head, but I think the collar is meant to be protection for that and the neck.
Ah, okay. My bad.
Still makes me think the Codex if full of it, though, considering. *shrugs*
And I want to know what a turian toupe' looks like.
