It's amazing that scene can look so different from another angle. New theory - he was being sweet and touching her arm, and then he thought "hey, look at this" and we got a fade-to-black. That explains everything.

Mordin is working in his lab, minding his own business, when Shepard runs in, one of her boobs deflated. She grabs Mordin by the collar.
Shepard: Chafing? CHAFING!!! You warned me about chafing and to not ingest but didn't warn me about losing one of my boobs to a curious turian?
Mordin: Hmm... sent Garrus educational vids and chart. Should be aware that female breasts are counted as an erogenous zone. Must have been too busy calibrating to study the material. *stares at Shepards breasts* Hmm, does look good for a painting though. Maybe a musical, "The deflated one and I".

The touching her arm was like the yawn stretch move guys do.  It was just an excuse to grab a funny bump.

I am glad people posted their flycam shots during the romance scenes. I saw the one with Thane and his hands on Shepard's ass. Smooth Thane! I liked it more because of it, because Thane was much more experienced and smooth in his romance.

It wouldn't have suited Garrus because he is trying to prove that he isn't doing it for himself. Also, he is awkward, and doesn't know how to approach a relationship with a human (Thane doesn't have this problem so much as he is much more humanoid.)

But yes, Garrus.  I personally thought it'd be funny and kinda cute if Garrus developed a fascination with Shep's hair.  Humans are the only species who have it.

Something tells me that "lacking clothes" is pretty universal in even the ME-verse as a sign of getting sexual.  Except the hanar, who are always naked.

Most of the theory is based on the idea of the Uncanny Valley.  IMO the alien species don't hit the Uncanny Valley as much because we don't know what they're supposed to look like IRL, so to speak.  And if we DID see them IRL, they'd look strange to us.  Also, the costume was pretty damn close to what Garrus looks like in game.

But get going with that dimensional rift.  If I'm wrong, I'll be happy to apologize to the turians.  With snuggles

But that's the thing; the costume isn't really that close to what Garrus looks like, much less turians in general.  It's a very, very awesome and well-done interpretation and end-result of a turian costume in-and-of itself, no doubt.  The creator of it did an awesome job with making a quality costume.  Regardless, yeah, I think turians might look pretty...exotic irl.  Would have to get over the shock of seeing them in the first place.

But get going with that dimensional rift.  If I'm wrong, I'll be happy to apologize to the turians.  With snuggles [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]
