Dorkly.com's got a poll up for LIs in ME2. Thought some of you might be interested in giving your say in it. Gotta show some Garrus support.
Who did you romance in Mass Effect 2?
Garrus is the most romanced male character in ME2 with... 3% of the total... yay?

Probably not too bad considering the juggernauts he's going against in Tali and Miranda. I'm not entirely surprised at the results although I admit having even Kelly beating him gives me a sad face.

I don't trust the numbers of outside polls. I'd rather see BioWare's numbers.

As for Garrus' results, I think that this poll mostly covers the 'casual' players. Most people wouldn't even consider mancing Garrus if they hadn't played ME1 for example, because they haven't built that relationship with him.
When I told my friends I went for Garrus, they thought I had modded it for that option. But most of them had Garrus as their favourite character so they were cool with it.
Tali has an attractively human body, so it makes sense for her to do well even outside of BSN.
But I showed my love for Garrus! Too many guys voted in the polls... Hehe!

Where is this line? O_O I must see it. (Yes, I'm still bitter about the romance trap. I worked on that playthrough for months.)Hyrule_Gal wrote...
Not as funny as telling her you're going to "drop kick her back into that volcano" when she gets mad at you for solving her years of research.
You have to get Liara after you do EVERY main mission (including Virmire) so hers is the last one left before Ilos. Not only will she go a bit crazy down in the mines (hallucinating LOL) she will also get pissy that you have all the answers to her research when you get back on the Normandy. You tell her that you know reapers are behind the protheon extinction and the other squaddies chime in and mention your beacon visions and that you met an actual reaper. Liara can't believe all her research has been a waste since all the answers just fell into your lap, she says "It's not fair!". That's when you can reply as a renegade![]()
Also, congrats to Aeowyn. The Old Spice Garrus was brilliant.

To be fair Tali and Liara hardly stray much from human build. Turians are a larger leap from human looking faces. A lot of people find them freaky. In fact my friends did, until they realized 90% of them have very attractive voices haha.

Garrus officially became a badass at this moment, cool , confident and despite all he’s been through still manages to crack a joke. What’s just so interesting about this mission is that Garrus becomes the one in charge, he tells you what you need to do and he acts like a leader. I like that Shepard took a backseat here because it rarely happens and it also gave Garrus a chance to shine. The pacing and shooting segments were perfect, never a dull moment and you felt a great deal of urgency because you were protecting your friend from dying the entire mission. Then the final boss battle comes and you watch in horror as your “invincible” friend get blown up and left for dead. It was unexpected and very dramatic since this the first time you see a squad mate hanging on to life like that. From start to finish this mission was just so exciting.

It is the best recruitment mission IMO. You went undercover as a merc and were given the rare opportunity to get to know the type of people you usually just shoot at. You got to sabotage their plans (very fun) and got to see the damage your potential squaddie was doing (even getting shot at yourself!) . There was an element of mystery (for the people who don’t read spoilers) with not knowing who this archangel was and with each merc you spoke to, the guy just got more and more epic (he shot down a bloody gunship!!). You finally reach him and you are thrilled to find out it’s your old bro Garrus , and for those who only played ME2 , are given an amazing introduction to his character.

Totally this. This is by far one of my favorite missions. The first time I played I got really worried though because Garrus got shot. I thought maybe it was because I didn't kill that batarian merc when I had the chance. I ended up feeling guilty because I was under the impression that I could have prevented it.

I played ME1 trying to romance him, then after a non successfull play through I decided to check to see if he actually was a romance option. He wasn't, nor was Tali who I was going to try next. I don't look up games until after I finish them. Needless to say, ME has been an emotional rollercoaster for me.
Then I was a little disappointed with the romance scene. Not because of the dialogue, but lack of nudeness. I went through the whole thing thinking I would see some turian skin. But I suppose an actual montage, like with Dragon Age, would have been cheesey and have made me angry, or scared me for life. So maybe somethings are best left for the imagination.

I wonder if it's his first time away from Palaven or something... not being able to tell the difference between human males and females aside from the "funny bumps." xD Also, thinking that turians don't dance when a turian with his character model danced in Thane's loyalty mission.
I failed that mission because of him.
