I wish they'd stop using that herp-derpy font on their shirts, though. It looks like crap.
Don't make me go on a "right and proper" fonts rant, because I will.

This is the best Nihlus fanart I've ever seen.YamiSnuffles wrote...
And in the spirit of our badass would-be mentor, Nihlus, some fanart:
Thanks so much. There isn't enough Nihlus fanart in the world, so I figured I would do my part to contribute. Drawing Turians is hard though. I seem to only ever draw them in profile, although that is partly because I am mildly obsessed with their fringes.
As for the t-shirts, I would get the reach and flexibility one. It would still be nice to have something with Garrus actually on it. Maybe including his line about men with scars or something.

Feel free to draw more profile shots of Nihlus if you feel so inclined! I can't stop looking at this one, he is the prettiest turian in both games, those markings accent his face so well and that fringe... those mandibles.. wow. He's such a good looking guy. Garrus is a close second in my book but I have a thing for the darker turians with the bright markings. And those eyes! Sorry, I'll calm down now
I would probably get the "Reach and Flexibility" shirt but hope they go with something different, at least something related to calibrations or men with scars or.. hell, just showing Garrus' rifle or the Archangel symbol would be awesome. Pretty disappointed about the figures, just got my DA figures to ship recently and was looking forward to putting in an order for some ME ones. Hopefully they'll hook up with another manufacture soon.
Tip-toeing around Evolution spoilers since I haven't ordered issue 2 yet but sounds like they are doing a good job with Saren so that's good to hear. I wonder if we'll get a comic later that will bridge the gap between Revelation and ME1? Maybe something that helps us understand Saren's motivations a bit better regarding Sovereign. Was just playing ME1 last night and the conversation with Liara after encountering Saren on Virmire really had me thinking about his motivations and what his ultimate goal might have been originally.

That's too bad. ): And you could have asked him a Saren question.Timerider42 wrote...
I just got the first two issues of Evolution. I went to the comic book store and they had a sign saying that J. Miller, one of the writers, is going to be there tomorrow. Missed it by that much.
I agree, the extra information about Saren and his brother is awesome, and I wish the comics were longer too. It took much longer for me to find the comic on release date than it did to read the whole thing and type up epic spoiler posts on two fan threads. xDAnyway, they're awesome. I like how it expands on Saren more, even though we know what happens to him by the end of ME1. I just wish the issues were longer. It only takes like 10 minutes to read through, and then you're left with a cliffhanger for the next one.
This was my only complaint about the Garrus romance, that some of Shepard's lines at the final romance scene just weren't right. I never choose the interrupt, but in a way, it's almost like choosing the lesser of two evils. I mean, why would anyone want to stop Garrus from talking with that voice?Hyrule_Gal wrote...
That was a big gripe for me during the last romance scene in ME2 since I had to choose between"shut up" and "you're talking too much", when really I wanted my shepard to say something sweet to him.
Liec wrote...
No female turians, sadly =(, but there are a few turians with facepaint this time around =D.
Yeah, Desolas. Saren, why did your brother get facepaint in between comics? Is it because I couldn't tell you guys apart?
Desolas said that the Council intervened. That must have been what stopped the turians from fighting. General Williams said that the Alliance wanted to suck up to the turians to get favor with the Council.I noticed General Williams said the cease-fire wasn't his idea. I wonder who ordered him to surrender then. But whoever it was let him take all the blame for it =(
I would not wear that shirt. o_o Did they keep in mind that most people are not going to know Mass Effect, much less remember that conversation, and that line is going to sound like... something else? I'd like a shirt with Garrus on it, or even one with the Archangel symbol like AdmiralCheez suggested.pumpkinpirate wrote...
As to the subject of t-shirts, the Mass Effect 2 Facebook page posted pictures of shirts that Bioware was proposing. Two are a Reach and Flexibility shirts, one for women that says "He had the reach, I had the flexibility" and on for men that says "I had the reach, she had the flexibility."
i would like one with Garrus on it though.
That was your art? Wow, it's awesome. I like the turian fringes too.YamiSnuffles wrote...

They did a great job with Saren. I'm guessing that the start of Saren's motivation to learn about the Reapers will be revealed in Evolution, but more Saren comics, books, or anything Saren-related would be nice. I'd like to know what happened during those ~20 years between Revelation and ME1 too, just because so much happened over such a long span of time that it's impossible to figure out. And there's still the question of what actual Reaper indoctrination is like. Retribution showed indoctrination being done by humans, but the Reapers might have done it differently. If not... poor Saren.leonia42 wrote...

Also, the conversation with Liara about Saren was the only one of her conversations that I liked. xD

With the shirts: I would buy a shirt with the Archangel symbol on it, in a heartbeat I would. It looks so badass and awesome!
About the comics, I really should get them. They sound awesome. I always wondered about Saren and TIM. Saren always interested me, as did Nihlus. It's a shame Saren died, he was pretty cool.
Lastly, I have a fanfic done. A big thanks to Kglaser for beta-reading it for me (have to give her credit for the help) This is the link: it's here. Tell me what you think of it.

Also, glad everyone likes my fanart. I have a deviantArt page under the same screenname that has a bit more ME2 fanart (you can find it here: yamisnuffles.deviantart.com/ ). Mostly Garrus but also a little of my Shepard. So, in the spirit of the reach and flexibility shirt maybe sending the wrong message:

I started another play through of ME1 recently and just finished the crew conference scene after you pick up Liara. Garrus sits next to her, so you get to see him being ever so attentive whenever she talks. I never noticed it before but he looks like he's really into the conversation and is piecing things together in his head. It's adorable!
I tried to take a screenshot where he looks especially interested and has his hands clasped together across his lap but apparently my computer doesn't like taking screencaps when TexMod is running (or something. It is a mystery).

Nonono, a Garrus T-shirt wouldn't even have to have Garrus on it, just the Archangel insignia (the gold bird-thing) with IMPRESSIVE in big, bold text.

"through all my time working at C-sec, I--I never got the chance to witness a meeting of the council in person" Its so bloody cute when he stammers saying this!
If you have Tali with you she says how the council didn't help the quarians when the geth took their homeworld. Garrus then says;
"Maybe if they'd listened we wouldn't be here now"
I think Garrus being so overwhelmed by the meeting shows that he had high hopes of becoming a spectre one day. Maybe it was a secret honor for him watching Shepard get "knighted" by the council. I would LOVE IT if at the end of the game, during the epilogue, we see the council reciting that same epic speech for Garrus as he is made a spectre. He stands there looking all proud ,then turns his head to see shepard there.

I've heard the first line, but not the second one. It's nice to get an idea of Garrus' opinions. So, if he thinks the Council should have stepped in and helped the quarians keep their homeworld, do you guys think it would be in-character for him to help the quarians retake their homeworld with a MaleShep who romanced Tali?Hyrule_Gal wrote...

I like your idea for the Garrus becoming a Spectre scene. I already wanted something like that to happen at the end of ME3.

Hehe, Thane fans named themselves 'Drellickers' because all the regular posters on the thread joined a group so we could all talk off topic. We just randomly came up with it one day. Great fun
I like the ideas of Calibrators and Headbumpers ideas
Also, has anyone realised that Shepard smiles more with Garrus than any other character in the game?

Shepard is represented as pretty badass to her/his enemies hroughout the whole game so having him/her suddenly seep feelings about having been dead, especially to someone she/he isn't too fond of like Nassana seems a little out of character.Aeowyn wrote...
Meh, I hated that part. Particularly because Shepard didn't seem to be affected by her death at all.
"Shepard. But you're dead."
"I got better."

"Meh."
"Shepard. This is the Citadel tax bureau. You owe us 2 million credits in unpaid taxes for the last two years."

I think Garrus was definately
touched by Shepard becoming the first human spectre, as it is an
aspiration of his as well. (Minus the 'human' part, obviously.)

yessss haha
yes.
And YES.
I really love about the Garrus romance is how he never ceases to make
Shepard happy/smile. Which adds a certain sweetness to everything.
Headbumpers sounds a lot better than what I had in mind.

@Fia: Yeah, I just can't make my FemSheps talk to Jacob. >_> Which is a shame, because it seemed like they would get along well before they reached the Normandy and she started flirting with him.

Although, she does smile a lot with Garrus too. And she does look gorgeous when smiling, shame she doesn't do it as much. But there a few separate instances where she smiles or jokes with Garrus.
I really like it, because it shows that Shepard is relaxed around him and does let down her guard around Garrus a lot. They really have that familiarity that makes them such a great couple.
And yes, the prospect of shooting some baddies does make Shepard light up with glee!
And I love that line too! Only Garrus and Tali say it I believe.
