I agree though, Jacob seems like a nice guy, not one I would romance, but go have drinks with. I think Shepard smiles flirtaciously with him.

At least Garrus is one character who will never try to trap Shepard in a romance. He respects Shepard too much for that. I like to imagine that my Shepards kind of "hide out" with characters like Garrus. Or my current MaleShep hiding out with Tali away from Liara in ME1, because that would just be adorable.

Ah, the antics of Kim's mainshep! And I can see the 'backing away slowly' thing happening to most people who come into contact with your Earthborn Ruthless

My Shepards are a fun bunch, but they did lead Saren to start calling the Normandy "the crazy train."

And I bet most people do back away slowly from Earthborn Ruthless. Except the asari. Or just women in general. They love him, for reasons he does not understand (maybe moviestar good looks and a badass action hero personality has something to do with it). But he hates it when everyone just thinks they can flirt with/touch him. *shakes fist at the asari consort* Saren, however, thinks it's kind of funny when Earthborn Ruthless gets all mad and twitchy. xD

If you have Tali with you she says how the council didn't help the quarians when the geth took their homeworld. Garrus then says;

"Maybe if they'd listened we wouldn't be here now"

I think Garrus being so overwhelmed by the meeting shows that he had high hopes of becoming a spectre one day. Maybe it was a secret honor for him watching Shepard get "knighted" by the council. I would LOVE IT if at the end of the game, during the epilogue, we see the council reciting that same epic speech for Garrus as he is made a spectre. He stands there looking all proud ,then turns his head to see shepard there.

I love this line from Garrus. It's so cute. He seemed so awed by a lot of things in ME1, and awed by Shepard most of all. I always love dragging him around to hear what he has to say. I think my husband gets sick of having me around while he plays ME2. I constantly interject with what Garrus would have said since he doesn't bring Garrus along often.

As to what others have mentioned, I agree that Shepard gets to smile quite a lot with Garrus around. He's always cracking jokes. He's just generally fun to be around.

It's so true. xD Poor Shepard. I've never chosen the "That's it?" option because I read the spoilers and already knew about it, but she'll always press her body against Shepard no matter what unless you don't do the mission. Most of my Shepards would not like it. Earthborn Ruthless in particular has issues with that. He doesn't even hug Tali on her loyalty mission. He can be comforting without all the touching. The pat on the shoulder that Shepard gives Garrus after leading the second team is perfect though, because it's more like, "You're okay, just walk it off."

Kim my spacer/sole survivor is sooooo awkward about hugs, she didn't hug tali, not because she's mean but because she doesn't know how to console people properly. She's more socially awkward when it comes to affection. She did tell her that her dad gave her a gift by teaching her to look after herself and she added a quiet "do you want to move the body?" to me that meant more than a hug for this shepard. I too love the "*pat* you're good buddy" thing that shepard does there. Garrus ALWAYS gets that pat because he’s the only team leader I use... team Cerberus is smelly.

I use Garrus most of the time, just because most of my Shepards are more likely to trust him, but some of them will use Miranda or Jacob, or alternate between them. Some of those Shepards, like EvilShep, are also the type to not choose Garrus because they want him in their squad instead. Garrus would probably be the best and most likely to watch Shepard's back in battle, after all.

My canon uses Garrus for team leader both times. My Shepard trusts him the most as team leader, easily. And Garrus ends up sounding like he's having a great time obliterating the collectors, too.

I will have Garrus as team leader for all instances except the last time. Garrus needs to be with Shepard to kick reaper ass. He wouldn't want it any other way. Also for the slide tackles/hand grabbing.

And poor Atton. I like using him in KotOR 2 because he just gets right back up again if he dies. (Well, as long as someone else is around.)

Usually me too I go with Team Dextro in the final battle, but sometimes I left Garrus leading the second group just to enjoy earing Miranda dumping TIM... it's one of her best dialogue toghether with the no-romances one.

I always giggle when Sovereign attatches to the citadel tower for some reason. It looks very... Random. It's like they're making a huge epic deal out of a fish grabbing onto a pole.
