You know, I'm actually sort of glad he developed on his own. I don't want him to just automatically agree with everything I say. He's his own person, and if that means disagreeing with me, so be it.Null_ wrote...
Also the fact you could basically shape his personality with paragon/renegade options in ME1 when you talk to him. Shame they didnt really use this in ME2. I belive only like 2 lines are diffrent :/

No matter how talented he is, he still wasn't content with all the red tape and training to be a spectre. Because he wanted to punish criminals and whatever course he takes always takes him to Omega, because without Shepard, he was lost.
Although, it is incredibly badass that all three merc groups joined to take him down. My Shepard was so unbelievably proud!

They should make a comic about Garrus's omega squad.
Besides, I'd rather have it left to the imagination. What we dream up on our own will always be better than what's published, at least to us.

The email was really sweet, especially when I saw the title. But when we know how devoted Garrus was to his squad, and yet we know nothing about them.
Hell, we knew very little about Garrus' family (if he had any other than his father) until his LotSB dossier.

I would definitely like to hear more about Archangel's crew, as I'm sure they were an interesting bunch. Furthermore, I hope we get to meet Solana in ME3--she seems to share Garrus' spunk an--WHOA LOOK AT THE TIME. LATE FOR class. HERP DERP.

I didnt mean by the same company that gave us akimbo pistol wielding, flying green skinned Garrus(that was just horrible).AdmiralCheez wrote...

Anyway dont let Legion win this poll... Garrus is better sniper and we know it. social.bioware.com/2476563/polls/15092/

I agree that there totally does need to be another conversation post-loyalty mission with Garrus. While we find out what Garrus has been up to the past two years, we still don't know any more about his real background to be honest. He could at least show me a pic of Palaven or something dammit, mini-Garrus optional. Probably start reminiscing over his first rifle.

But I do wonder why Garrus doesn't feel like he can tell them that he is on a mission with Shepard? Surely they would have heard about his involvement in bringing down Saren?

LOL. I drew something similar in class except I had my Shepard just slap him really hard and be like "NO. >:| "
It's probably lying around in my pictures but it's far from presentable.
Maybe he's just a modest guy with a hero complex.Tasha vas Nar Rayya wrote...
I would like to know more about Sol too. It seems that if it wasn't for the situation, then Garrus and Sol would be really close I imagine.

Or he's afraid to hear their reactions, there's a good chance he could die beyond the Omega 4 relay and he'd rather not talk about it to them because he feels guilt over not being at home helping his mother.
YES. THIS.Hyrule_Gal wrote...
we could have used a proper
conversation after his mission, one where he talks about his squad more
and also about what choice you made with sidonis. Garrus needed some
closure but sadly we are never given it. It would have been the perfect
conversation for shep to bring up the people SHE felt responsible for
but died (VS survivor, torfan, akuze etc) so that Garrus could see that
he wasn't alone.
When I recieved that e-mail from one of his squad members' wife I really
thought I could go and ensure him that it wasn't his fault and that he
couldn't have seen it coming. Shepard had to kill Ash or Kaidan, mine's
been through Akuze, so they have lots in common. Instead I just got
calibration slapped in the face again.

I always use the Incisor rifle on Garrbear as well, it does fit him perfectly.Hellbound555 wrote...
Garrus needs his own sniper-rifle. I find the cop-sniper suits him the best for some odd reason.

one thing I worry about is the overall fair treatment across 3 games. For the LIs who only got started in the second game , will they get a bit more dialogue in the third game to balance things out? Liara (and possibly VS) will have a romance that will span over three games, that's a lot of content. I just hope things are fair.
Technically so do we (and the Talimancers). We just got to be friends first.

I do hope for equal romance treatment. While we at least did get Garrus in ME1, he got almost talk time in ME2, romantic or otherwise. What I hope is that the SB dossiers are a hint of what's to come. Which is to say, a chance to talk to Garrus more about his family/past. Heck, at the very least, I hope Shep can give him a hug. Between his squad being killed, all the stress of the suicide mission, and his family problems, he really deserves one. Well, you know, a hug or something more if Shep is his LI.
Oh, and since it's been a bit since we've had any lovely Garrus to look at...

Garrus says hello!

Part of it is Garrus' personality. He doesn't want to burden anyone with his problems, nor does he want to be seen as taking attention away from someone else who is in need of support, i.e. his mother. He is the epitomy of the strong silent type... Someone who would rescue little orphan babies from a burning building, hand them off to the firefighters, then disappear before the news crews showed up because he's not in it for the glory... All that mattered was doing the right thing. And then he'd show up at work the next day with burns and shrug it off by saying he spent too much time in the sun.
As far as being responsible for taking down Saren, that's not exactly a noble cause in the course of Mass Effect 2. The reapers are a myth, the geth were the real bad guys, and Saren's involvement got whitewashed with the rest of the truth. There's a reason Anderson's Shadow Broker file alternates between vids of propaganda pieces covering up the attack and huge amounts of alcohol. Saren's status as a traitor is in dispute, and I imagine on Palaven the cover up is even more complete. Garrus could try to explain, but would anyone believe him?
Hopefully in ME3 Garrus will get some props from his family and the galaxy at large for what he has done. In the mean time, he will probably continue to suffer in silence, and think he deserves it for his percieved failure on Omega.
