As for Turians in combat, this is what Thane's dossier had to say on the matter (how he takes them down):
"Turian: Side approach, low kick to knee, grab arm and pull into broken-leg lock as turian leg stiffens in pain response, finger-stab under jaw (if unarmored) or eye, grab head fringe, neck-snap. Alternate: Front approach, paired punches to vulnerable plates just below eyes, drop-elbow to collarbone, front-leg sweep while vaulting over target, spinning neck snap."
And, as we all know, flexibility is a good way to combat Turian reach.

When it comes to too cute nicknames, I can never call him Garr Bear because my childhood nickname had bear affixed to it. It went on to haunt me into adulthood. And thus, the Garr Garr. Plus, it made playing as manShep hilarious because I'd be running around with my bro. Then Garrus would say something hilarious (as he is prone to do) and I'd be like, "Oh Garr Garr. You're so funny." Promptly followed by imagining Meer's voice saying that. It was good for lols.

I think it has to be true. He's always cracking jokes or saying things that are unintentionally hilarious, thus making Shepard's day a little better.

And thanks shadow soul! This avatar was some work to get up, but totally worth it. Hopefully Bioware doesn't mind custom avatars if they're Bioware related anyway.
And yeah, that picture is amazing. Got it favourited. And sorry if I scarred a couple of you with my comment before. I think I had perhaps just been 'drellicking.' (Or just tipsy. Ah well.) So I do apologise. So does Mordin
As for nicknames, to me, Garrus always seems too badass to have a nickname. But maybe in time, I will start to call him an affectionate nickname. At the moment, it is still just Garrus.

I also just got this one here.   This is pretty much the one I was looking for... if you can get a better shot of it, that would be rad, as again...  camara + tv  = not so good picture.

I've always liked that picture of Garrus. It's close to the turian concept art, and very emotional because he's changing the bandages and we get to see his scar. I'm curious if he has cybernetics like Saren's now. Maybe they'll show us in ME3.

This one seems more adapt as Reaper's groundforce, but in general turian mechs would be nice.

I imagine that if the turians used mechs, they would be slightly based on turians' appearance, like the geth have a few things in common with quarians. According to one of the art books, even their ships have a vague resemblance to them.
