Brandon Keener could read literally anything...ANYTHING...and I'd listen until the media upon which it was recorded wore out. I swear to God, I'm serious, his voice is that captivating to me.

OMG seriously.  his is only the second voice that i've ever felt this way about (the first is Gareth David Lloyd, check him out if you're into sexy voices)
but YES.  his voice is amazing. I'm planning now on finding all of the other roles he's played and watching them just to hear him speak.  sad, huh.

i LOVE the idea of him reading audio books... *wink wink, nudge nudge* bioWare. take a look at this. :D

And no, not sad...I considered watching "He's Just Not That Into You" because BK is in like the first 30 seconds, despite the fact I abhor rom coms XD

@Yami: Yeah, that's the motivational I was thinking of. xD

But turians don't really get 'derp' faces.

Actually, there was one unflattering screenshot of Garrus. It was during the scene in the Citadel tower when Saren throws a grenade and Shepard's team jumps out of the way. Garrus' face stretches out for some odd reason. I think it happens to the other squadmates too.

Hyrule_Gal wrote...

Speaking of eye wear, did you guys think the devs left Garrus's scouter on , on purpose during his romance scene or do you think they just forgot to take it off? Also would you like ME3 to have a non-scouter moment for Garrus?

Maybe they didn't want to make an extra face model for Garrus without the visor. xD But I like the theory that he left it on to monitor FemShep's vital signs, watch for any sign of an allergic reaction, and that sort of thing. It doesn't really matter to me if he has the visor on or off, but I would like to see if he has any cybernetics under the bandages.

leonia42 wrote...

They should get some of the turian voice-actors to do voices in the other Bioware games.. not entirely the same as adding turians but close enough.

Well, Saren's VA does play a few voices in DAO, like Swiftrunner and the Grand Oak. And the werewolf really does sound like him, mainly when he's growling. He's also in DA2 (don't know which characters yet), and I think some of the others like Lorik and/or Gavorn are as well.

I am of the opinion that the talented Mr. Keener is not so terribly hard on the eye, himself. ;)

Oh god, I can't unsee it.

I used to have an animation someone made of Garrus and FemShep objecting (complete with speech bubble) but I don't seem to have it anymore.

EDIT: Oh hello other ten pages between that post and mine, where did you come from? Gotta love the forum hiccups.

Seems he's also a pretty cool guy...he's got a Facebook page, and routinely takes questions/comments from his fans, and chats with them, and throws in Garrus references to please us fangirls. XD
--Although it's not really possible to gauge these things online, all in all, he seems like a pretty decent person, rather down-to-earth and quite likeable.  (And then, there's that voice.)
His wife is one lucky woman. She gets to hear that voice every day. :D

and oooh.. I wonder if his wife is a ME fan.   lol,  wonder if she's got flexibilty.   lol, i would totally be asking him to quote that at me. amongst other things.
heh, i would be thrilled to hear that voice every day. *sighs* damn.

Sherriff Garrus doesn't put up with mercs in his town.

As to Garrus and his ever present visor, I would have been sad if he hadn't had it in the romance scene. While I would have been okay with Shepard taking it (and more) off of him, I like that he had it on. In his goofy looking casual clothes, he needed something to root him in his Garrusy goodness. No armor + no visor = feels like half of Garrus is missing.

Also, quick note, glad people like my signature. I got that shot of Shep smirking during the beginning of Garrus' loyalty mission. It was too much to pass up. Before anyone asks, I don't know what she was smirking at since I only noticed while looking at the pic later. Fair to guess it had something to do with Garrus.

Now, before I ramble too long, back to bed to try to reclaim some sleep. Or just give up on this whole sleep thing and play more DA2...

I hear ya, plus I gotta wait a few days since I am getting my copy from the UK. At least there is this wonderful thread to keep us busy in the mean time, yes? Might just start a new game of ME2 or something to pass the time. Can never play too much ME or DA!

Sheriff Garrus (or should we be calling him Officer Vakarian, hmm?) looks awesome btw!

Unrelated comment: Does anyone else think that the "casual" outfit that Garrus wears is actually a Hierarchy military dress uniform of sorts? The bars seem to indicate rank and it sort of reminds me of what we see in the Evolution comic (ugh, I know, I shouldn't mention that artwork around here..). I wonder what citizenship tier he is on now that he's left the Citadel for good or if he has any more obligation to the Hierarchy. Maybe he just keeps the uniform out of sentimentality (heh like a certain templar we know in another game).

Garrus looks good as a space cowboy Posted Image and just like how shep takes off Tali's helmet , the thought of shepard taking off Garrus's visor is adorable...and yes if she were to take even more off, well that would be even betterPosted Image

Its not just me being a pervert (it’s mostly that yes) but I am so damn curious about Turian anatomy. With thane it’s easy because of his spandex outfit; you can tell he has a human-like body. Garrus in comparison is more covered up; even his bloody hands are a mystery.  I have to say I was surprised Thane didn’t show any skin only because he was specifically designed to be sexy. Plus they slap that zipper on him which I’ve assumed was only put there to tease and confuse the masses when they found out it can never be used LOL. It seems everyone I don’t want to romance rips their clothes off  for femshep , it’s not fair I tells ya!

I have to wait till friday for DA2 and apart from this thread I've stayed away from everything else in case a get ninja'd  with a spoiler

It has been said before, but it's always worth saying again. Shirtless Garrus... for Science! This needs to happen in ME3.

Even though I have DA2 already, I haven't moved from the ME forums. I don't want any spoilers either.

I didn't know that Thane was designed to be sexy... makes sense though. he's definitely my favorite after Garrus... so hard to decide sometimes

i do like the idea of Shepard taking off the visor.

*possible DA romance spoiler*
i've seen the videos ... and DAMN do they go into detail. not with clothing removal or anything, but just... everything. they're a lot more in depth then these.
maybe ME3 will be a bit more developed.

*end spoilerish thing.*

The romance scenes in ME1 were pretty good, short, but good. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the same in ME3, regardless of what controversy it might incite (again).

yeah i'm hoping they're over that controversial crap. i mean, those were actually quite beautiful. and i think that DA:O had worse ones, honestly. well, better for the fans, but worse for the public.
but yeah, they were rather good. :D i'm really hoping to get some more indepth scenes with the aliens though. i know what a human looks like underneath. i'm kinda hoping they don't introduce too many new characters. Shepard's already got two amazing teams of people. Making too many new ones happeen would be a bit irritating. 1 or 2 sure, but ... yeah.

and i got beaten to the punch with Sheriff Vakarian. is it sad that I think thats like the hottest thing ever? i'm still gonna have to doodle some turians in cowboy hats at work tonight. :D

The ME1 romance scenes were passionate, classy and well edited. I hope the series returns to its roots and  gives each couple the most touching and beautiful scenes possible.  But I hope garrus/shepard don't get left out in the cold just because Gar is a turian, if anything it'll be an opportunity for the artists to show us what turians look like, at least the top half.  I mean if they spent all that effort on Jacob’s abs just for his romance scene then they can design a half nekkid garrus Posted Image

Like I said, they can show implied intimacy without it being gross or graphic,  just like how they show nudity without showing all of it.  ME1 showed it can be done in a tasteful way, I mean I felt there was more of a connection between the couples during the ME1 scenes then say Miranda’s and she was covered up!  I'd like to think that before the devs shipped Gar and shep they must have thought it out and prepared themselves to present them as a couple, meaning that they were prepared to animate an intimate scene in the future. Because if the answer is really "ick no he's a turian!/ there will be clipping issues/ it'll be too hard to animate" then that's a real shame and a bit of a cop out. Is such a romance scene absolutely essential?  Well no because I am happy with whatever garrus/shepard love I get but at the same time I expect them to be treated the same as everyone else, meaning that they deserve to be presented in a loving way too.

oh thats awesome.

ok. so maybe i'm a bit late to the party with this question... but i just noticed something. Why is it that Garrus gets new armor.. and its also scarred and broken??
is it just like, oh... its Garrus's armor, its different than the armor he was wearing when he got shot.. but it should still be messed up?
just curious, is all.

Well, longer and better romance scenes would be good, but in general I hope ME3 will handle the romances as DA does... in DA all the party know of your relation and have something to say about... in ME2 almost looks like it's a secret,,, excluding Kasumi and the consueloirs of Mordin...

oh hell yeah. that would make me smile.   :D

alright, and yet another question/request for screenshot.   i had garrus with me *duh*  for tali's mission... and at the end, when they're going through the trial... he's all sitting at the top of the steps.  anyone ever notice that?
