Nod you totally got that picture from when I posted on the Tali thread It is really cute though!
And I am sorry about the delay on my fanfic. I had an adventure yesterday which involved DA2 not working, then me cycling into town to swap it for a xbox version, then realising that I had forgotten to bring my PC version for the exchange.

Yes, I have the common sense of a lemming.

So after all that, I played DA2 on the xbox, instead of the preferred PC. So next chapter was completed last night, so I will put it up later on today.
I need more Garrus after all that!

I actually prefer to play games on consol *ducks and hides*  than computer.  I was raised on Atari, then Nintendo, then Sega, then Playstation.....   can't help it. And I very much prefer my Mass Effect on consol. sadly... makes for less pretty screenshots. HOWEVER it does make for very big screen prettiness.

I prefer consoles too, Obsydian. I'm much better with the controls, and they're easier for me to understand because they don't have system requirements. I want to get a gaming PC eventually, just for DLC (my Xbox is not touching the internet, as most things I have with an online connection were wrecked beyond repair) and screenshots, mods too if I can figure them out. Everyone here probably knows that most of my screenshots would be of Saren. xD

Boo is epic. I loved clicking on him to hear him squeak, I think the space hamster in Mass Effect 2 makes the same sound? Hehe.
I prefer PC games. Although I have also played a lot on the Sega, N64, Gamecube, PS2 and the Xbox 360.

Unfortunately, DA2 wouldn't work on my laptop, so had to get it for the 360. Ah well. Great game by the way.

We have the same two favorites, I bet.

BioWare is getting much better with their romance options, from my point of view. I didn't like any of them in ME1, I liked a bunch of them in ME2 (and of course my favorite, Garrus). I didn't like any of the options in DAO, and it's possible that I'll like all of them in DA2 (and no romance traps). If I'm their target customer, then... yay! More Saren, please. *waits somewhat patiently for Evolution #3*

And you're right Kim. I wasn't keen on any of the ME1 LI's. I liked Zev and Morrigan as characters, but didn't feel particularly attached to them.
Then there was Garrus (and Thane and Tali.)
And now Fenris. I believe that the meme of DAT VOICE applies to him too

Yeah.. to be fair most of my screenshots would be of Garrus.  And Thane, but most Garrus.    I do have xbox live, i just really prefer to have th controller in my hand. i'm so bad with the WASD configuraion. 
I definitly didn't download any of the alternate armor ... or any of the other content yet. nope i didn't i swear.  

i would love to figure out modding. I dont know how to do it on the 360 though... any help?  i've seen some rad looking Shepards that I would love to experiment with.  i feel certain that it involves USB cables and strange things, so i dont know if its a thing that i want to play with yet. (me and computers...  we aren't really friends. 

edit:  and speaking about the LI's... i loved Kaidan from ME1. 
and DA:O... I'm a BIG fan of Zev and Alistair.  *shrug*  i'm all about that fun stuff.  I've only just gotten into DA2 so far...  I do rather love Fenris though.

Indeed. I talked to my brother earlier today (A Talimancer, Garrusmancer and Drellicker too), and we came to the conclusion that somewhere between the development of ME1 and ME2, the developers realised that ''Hey, let's make awesome people romanceable!''

I can imagine the DA2 format with ME2. That would be really cool. Wouldn't work necessarily, but it would be cool. Going to people's houses and chatting them up. But there is the Normandy loveboat.

It took me AGES to figure out modding. And even then, it often doesn't work for me Obsydian, so don't worry about it. Bioware are good enough that you don't need to mod the game to enjoy it.

And they made Garrus an LI. So no one had to mod that one in.

it is true... the characters are rather nice looking.... i won't worry about it, there's just some cool stuff out there, if Steam ever has another sale or something i'll grab it for my computer.

agreed about Garrus. now.... so long as they don't screw that up in ME3...

Yea, one of my greatest fears for ME3 is that they make the Garrusmance a fling. I.will.never.forgive.bioware if they do that.

They won't, he is one of the most popular characters after all. And he is made of pure awesomeness. Combine that with my fury if he isn't continued as an LI in ME3. Then Bioware wouldn't dare...

If I were to break the games and how I feel about the squadmates up into categories, it would look something like this -

ME1: A completely even split between favorite, neutral, and hate.
ME2: A lot of favorites and others that I like. The dislike tends to not be as extreme as it is for those in ME1 (except Morinth).
DAO: Oddly enough, I'm pretty neutral towards all of them.
DA2: I like most of them, with the exception of only two (and for one of them, that's a good thing for RP purposes).

I really like most everyone one from ME2 (excepting Miranda and Jacob), every time i got a new squaddie, i was like OOOh, i love them. admittedly I sometimes have a hard time deciding between Thane and Garrus (hint... Garrus almost always wins out). Also, thanks for the linky. I'll check into it.
And most of their loyalty missions brought tears to my eyes.
but thats cause I'm crazy.

Carver is the one whose personality I don't like, even though I appreciate it for RP purposes because he acted very much like some real life siblings I knew. I don't like Aveline either. But I don't hate any DA2 squadmates yet.

Back to ME2. The only squadmate I hated was Morinth... for obvious reasons. I didn't like Miranda (mostly because of the control chip comment) or Samara. I don't like the way FemShep interacts with Jacob, which makes me kind of neutral towards him because I haven't been able to talk to him much with my current MaleShep stuck in ME1. Then there are my favorite characters like Garrus, Tali, Thane, and Grunt. Zaeed would be a favorite if he was in my game, and Kasumi is cool too (giant golden Saren statue means instant approval points from MainShep). I also like Jack, Mordin, and Legion. So as you can see, a lot less hate.

I'm starting to think all of the romance options that I like, and the characters that I prefer, will always be in the second game. xD We'll see if the third game turns out to be even better. (Unless I count DAO, Awakening, and DA2 as three separate games - then yes, ME3 should be an even bigger improvement if it follows the pattern.)

my worry for ME3 is Thane.. but i guess thats the constant worry. Poor dying bastard.
the reason that I don't like Miranda is because I don't like how she treats Joker after the Collectors thing. I think that she's a cold hearted b*tch. *shrug* and yeah, thats my base opinion on Jacob. he's just too rediculous. Same thing with Kelly.... My roommate was playing through and accidentally had sex with Kelly. on his second time talking with her. With a female Shepard. and NEARLY had sex with Jacob the second time talking to him. so yeah. lol.

and regarding DA2. gods, its sad but i just can't get as into it as i did DA:O. not sure why. i still am enjoying it, but ... yeah. i think that Mass Effect has stolen my heart.
which is odd. i liked DA and got really obsessive over it.. but ME ... I've gotten into the fandom and everything. i never went on forums for DA, or wrote for it or drew for it. also, i love the storyline and world of ME so much more. I really think that playing ME has ruined DA for me. *shakes fist* lol. which i suppose is not a bad thing.

Yeah, I don't like Kelly at all. I just didn't include her in with squadmates. xD As for Miranda, I think I would like her better if she was just a character who my Shepard didn't interact with. Saying that she wanted to put a control chip in someone's brain wouldn't have bothered me if it wasn't my character (or one of my favorites) she was talking about, for example. When I play characters who disagree with certain squadmates all the time, those squadmates tend to annoy me. This is one of the reasons why I like Garrus so much - he always agrees with my Shepards, who lean towards Renegade on his personal quests, just like he does.

I'm the opposite with DAO and DA2. I liked DAO, but wasn't nearly as into it as I was with Awakening and DA2. That was definitely a result of having no squadmates that I really cared about. I post on the DA2 forums, but not the DAO forums. Mass Effect is my favorite series of the two though. It has Saren. And playing BioWare games suddenly make other games less awesome by comparison.

yeah.. Joker's one of my favorite characters in this game, despite him not technically being a squadmate. So... Miranda's mistreatment of him is unforgivable.
And YES omg, I play paragade completely, and Garrus and I tend to agree on most things. I tend to play that same way ... I tend to play a very similar character no matter what... even if i try to play different. lol.

and I wasn't too into Awakening, the story was amazing, but it was just too easy. I walked into rooms and darkspawn died at my feet... i dunno what that was all about. And I do rather love Anders. now ... i can't decide whether to romance Anders or Fenris! lol.

but yes. BioWare does make everything else much less awesome. I find myself comparing other games... and they always come up short.

also, I'm attempting to make a Normandy in Spore. and a Turian. i'll let you know how that pans out.
