MainShep:
MainShep wouldn't dare ask him to runway walk. She wants to stay on his good side. Earthborn Ruthless, however, would probably ask just to tease him.

Perhaps. But I can imagine it would be a very intense, posing glare.
With a pout. ;D
This needs to become fanart. I need this in my life.

I also wish that there had been more dialogue for these things, LI's or not. The romances in a BioWare game are such a HUGE part of the game now, as opposed to any other game... There is no other that really does that sort of thing and I think it really really adds to the story and to the character. I know that I've never gotten this into a game before, and its cause i could never really relate as much to the character as I can now.
But I definitly agree with Kim that it should be for LI's or not... and they should obviously differ.

Mmm...as much as I like the way BioWare did the romances in DA2, and as good as the characters and dialogue are becoming, there is one trend with the romances that I really don't like: decoupling the romance dialogue from the rest of the game.
There's two ways in which this can be a problem. In ME2, if you don't romance an LI (other than Jacob and Miranda who do have friendship paths), you miss out on large portions of their dialogue. That dialogue may very well have nothing to do with romance, but you don't get it because you didn't put out <_< The other problem is the one I ran into in DA2, where conversations would split between "romance" and "friendship" branches, and you could never get the information in both.
For example, Anders. I really would've liked to talk to him about the Circle, my past as an apostate, etc. But those conversation branches came up in the same trees as romance branches, and I couldn't do both. WTF? Just because I'm talking to this guy about actual serious stuff doesn't mean I can't flirt a little, or vice versa.
I'm not against more romance dialogue for the LIs, but not at the exclusion of actual backstory, character development, and discussion that should be available for EVERYONE, not just if you romance a character.

Not that the headbump was disappointing, it's just, maybe if we wait we'll get to see Garrus storm into Shepard's cabin and profess his love.

And what if you wait and then Rupert the janitor chef storms into you quarters instead? =P
I guess it's kinda hard to make the LI make the first move without making the whole team hit on Shepard or finding ninja romances everywhere.

I haven't read through every page of this thread so I apologize if this was already discussed but...
Is anyone else concerned that romancing Garrus in ME2 may have negative repercussions? I was testing different dialogue options during one of the conversations in the forward battery and when I chose the "let's just stay friends" option Shepard said something to the effect of "I care about our friendship too much to do this cheaply". That surprised me and immediately I started to wonder if maybe the whole romance was a little hasty.
