Also... I miss Garrus. Been over dosing on DA2 guys for their various appealing reasons (Anders/Angst, Fenris/Satisfactory, Sebastian/UNF) but I'm missing the snark... Garrus has that suave sarcasm that really shines through (and it's also making miss Alistair but I won't get into that here without bringing mod doom down on me er something...)

Yeah, I miss Garrus's gentle snark.  I love it when he makes fun of Shepard and banters with her.  Lines about krogan women, reach and flexibility, classy antique shops...mmm.

When the DA2 guys snark, they're just plain mean.  Funny, but downright cruel.

The best snarker in DA2 is Varric but he's (sadly) not romanceable. I wonder if Garrus could, erm, enhance Bianca with some calibrations though..

And meh, don't like the hoodies on the turians. They have pretty fringes, let them show them off.

This is all making me think about the kitty hats that you could enforce on Garrus in ME1

And I like the fringes too, but the casual outfit on the previous page looked pretty good apart from that.

Also, Garrus and Shepard need to fight some mercs or something in an antiques store...

This is my first trip into the Garrus thread (my first trip into any ME thread, I'm usually DA side). I've been playing DA2 like a madwoman and got tired of the angst after my 50th (ish) playthrough. Playing ME1 again and Garrus is still my favourite Bioware character lol Varric might be equal though ... Trying not to romance Kaidan but the guy is persistant, but my femShep is crushing on Garrus anyway ^^
I'm not liking all this Garrus and Anders comparison stuff! It's freaking me out! lol Some Fenris style passion though? Hell yeah. I can see a total rivalmance with paragon femShep going on anyway, she's always reprimanding him and arguing with him, it's perfect
Anyway I just wanted to pop by and show some Garrus love, he'd be in my signature but I haven't seen one that says "Garrus: The turian your man could calibrate like"

Really, the Garrus and Anders/Justice thing is pretty creepy. However, like I've said many times, Garrus is sane. He doesn't have a spirit/demon living in him and while Garrus dislikes injustice, he's not fanatical about it. So yeah, please don't give Garrus the crazies in ME3 BioWare.

What do you think? For a moment I worried that two Garruses were too many, but then I remembered that you can never have enough Garrus.

I envisioned how that moment would happen. Shepard and co would be fighting some mercs in a building when suddenly an expolsion causes the gang to fall through the ceiling and land in a fancy restaurant. The patrons are so shocked that the only thing you hear is the sound of a monocle falling into a cup of tea. The squad get up from the rubble, dusting themselves off when Garrus looks around and exclaims loudly (and very happily)

"FINALLY! Someplace classy!"

Mercs suddenly pile in while the patrons frantically flee the scene. What then ensues is an epic fight with lots of expensive things getting destroyed, including a chandelier and a grand piano. When the fight is over shepard turns to Garrus and says“And you tell me I never take you anywhere nice”

I can certainly see the similarities between Garrus and Anders, I think they both fit the same character achetype but over all Garrus and Anders personalities really aren't that similar.

I still think Garrus would look good in a rebel mage robe

Also agree on the creepiness of the Anders comparisons. I like my vigilantes 2 parts classy, 1 part renegade, 1 part compassionate..let that percolate for awhile.. and I forgot the rest of the Varric quote that I was trying to rip-off, oops.

Hats!!! Personally I think most hats would be kind of irritating to (male) turians as the fringe would get in the way, which is why they have the fancy hoods. I'm sure MaleShep's head must get cold though. Need a hat DLC.

Also I'm back on ME1 at the minute and I can't possibly give Garrus any of those terrible hat-armours, full helmet or nothing. I once, on my very first playthrough, found the Nihlus armour for him but never managed to get it since after 10 playthroughs. I forgot how hard ME1 was actually, going into Hardcore with a Sentinel straight off was a mistake I think....

Ooh, a fight in a classy antique shop would be the best. Just nonstop banter between Shepard and Garrus while they're shooting mercs. They could comment on pieces that they like while dodging bullets.

Also, I'm back to ME1, since my ME2 just left with boy. I figure I'll play through them both in the next week or so to rid myself of the 'my boy just went back to the warzone' sadness.   And fill my life with much of the Garrusness.  yes. 

I just wish he was romanceable in ME1. Seriously, that would make my life. 

I also wish i could like Anders as much in DA2. I really wish i could... but so much whining!   I liked him in Awakenings when he was all happy-ish.   Garrus definitly has the vengance thing going on.. but I'm so glad he's not as whiny as Anders. 
Also the blowing up the place thing... Seriously BioWare... don't do that to me in ME3. I could barely handle it in DA2.

Honestly? I think that if Garrus was an LI in ME1, that it would be too soon. I think that the fact that they left it until ME2 meant they had that foundation of friendship that (apart from Tali) set him apart from other LI's.

Although, I too am replaying ME1. And it has dawned on me, that Garrus comments on missions and stuff are far more frequent than in ME2... Good luck for your boy Obsydian!

Yeah, I guess you're right Tasha... It probably would. A bit more interaction would be nice? i dunno. LOL. I just want more Garrus all around, anywhere.

I JUST finished the intro mission for ME1.. getting chewed out by the counsel as I type this right now. I'll have to pay attention. I always have Garrus with me, no matter what. I did even the first time I played through this and didn't know who he was. I thought he was pretty sweet then too.

And thank you. I'm gonna apologize in advance if I get at all angsty. I need a plush Garrus to hug so that I'm not as sad.

Shirtless Garrus?  Fenrisian Slam.   But please no crazies in ME3

I had to start a new playthough with Fenris romance because in the end my diplomatic Hawke would be forced to do something she doesn't want to do to her LI, Anders.    I don't see Garrus lying to and betraying Shepard in that way.  My paragon Shep can be pretty persuasive.  Garrus ends up coming around to see things her way.
