I'm not sure how much I should say in the main thread, so I'll just say...that limits certain non-sleeping applications..

If the pillows are piled up high enough, turians without side-fringe might be able to sleep with the back of their head against the pillow and their fringe behind it. Turians with side-fringe would either need to sleep with just their neck against the pillow, or have very squishy pillows that the fringe can sink into.

The obvious solution is for them to answer this question by showing us a sleeping turian.

Your suggestion is most practical.
But how many pillows would Saren need??  A bodacious amount, I'm thinking...

i can see this...  them sleeping on their side doesn't necessarily make sense either, i mean.... look at Saren...somehow I doubt he's sleeping on his side.    
i'm just thinking about those little weird Japanese pillow things that geisha's used to put under the backs of their heads when their hair was all done up.  I'm not sure whether that was a real thing or if i just saw it in a movie.... but it seems reasonable. 

also yes. Sleeping turians would be a good idea.   Sleeping Garrus, even better idea. 

I'm for them following ME3 up with some sort of turian spin-off... not even necessarily Garrus... Palavan revealed... heh, who's with me?

I imagine Saren sleeps sitting up most of the time. I see him as the kind of guy who would sleep at his desk after making plans for his next mission, when he just spent three days straight on his last mission.

Yeah, same here. Even though it would be really cute. xD But I think he would like the hot chocolate/eggnog/dextro alcohol mix MainShep made for him on New Years.

I don't think Saren would read trashy novels... on purpose, at least. I did imagine a little scenario of younger Saren looking through his mother's book collection, thinking he found a war novel, but it was really human/turian romance. Not likely to happen, but the traumatized look on his face would be hilarious.
