@ Giggles_Manically: I'm just curious, why Samara? Does she have experience with turians? I thought we only knew she was with another asari...

Outside of Kelly does anyone else on the normandy 2 have a likelihoodof having done a turian.
Besides Samara is over 600 years old whose to say she hasent.

I just assumed her preference was other asari. Otherwise, she could have gone for another species and eliminate the risk of her kids being born as Ardat-Yakshi... but it's true, we really have no way of knowing. And she does seem to like Shepard, but Shepard is a special case. Everyone loves Shepard. xD

Unless you are renegade. Watching Garrus getting turned down on youtube just now PAINFUL.

Listen to any Asari near Samaras age and they brag about how many aliens they have taken.

In ME1, I just made MainShep walk around for several minutes until she got Garrus close enough to look like she was dancing with him. xD He just looked embarrassed. But close enough.

Garrus: And it wasn't easy. Shepard really had to work at it.

 Good one Kim

Yeah, the asari matriarchs seem to like bragging. It makes me wonder if Saren had as much trouble fighting off Benezia as my MaleShep has fighting off her daughter.

MaleShep: It was horrible. D: She cornered me in the Normandy lockdown scene, and now I have to reload! If only she could be Virmired...
Saren: Like mother like daughter, eh? Benezia was the same way.
MaleShep: How did you avoid her? Come on, man, I need advice!
Saren: ...You killed her on Noveria. That's how.

@ kglaser: Thanks. xD So, did your Shepard have better luck with Liara than mine?

I dont know how you drink Manically, I just do it excesivly.

I hear tale of a romance pack DLC, if we get one I want to actually have an after Omega 4 talk, or a semi-akward date go on. Hilaritry ensuses.

I don't know yet...I'm about to get offline and play through a good chunk of what's left of Noveria.  If I get back to the Normandy and she's still all, "Of course, Shepard...", I'm going to start over.  And I'm going to do every single tiny insignificant-seeming quest before rescuing her, too. Hah! :P
I don't dislike Liara, but this stuff makes it tempting.

MaleShep: So he managed to escape the asari in death, and left me here with Liara... Well played, Saren. Well played.

@ kglaser: Liara was never one of my favorites, but after this MaleShep playthrough, now she's one of my least favorites. Morinth is least favorite, but now I think Liara's tied with Ashley for second... which is unfortunate, because it was just something wrong with the game refusing to acknowledge the "I'm not interested" option, and not Liara herself.

Liara is seriously hard to get.

She goes from saying "ASARI ARE NOT EASY"

To: I WANT YOU SHEP!

wierd to say the least first time in.

On my last playthrough, I ended up just not talking to Liara for the very reason that I did not want to start her romance. I heard about people accidentally getting into it. Ironically enough, I ended up accidentally romancing Ashley instead.

Going to try to follow Nilf's guide next time around, hopefully that will work.

Best way to avoid a romance is to Virmire the one you are romancing to be clear in ME2.

Other than that dont talk to them ever.

I was going to "virmire" Ashley anyway in that playthrough, so I was safe. I still dislike how sensitive the romances are in ME1.

I liked them in ME1 over ME2 since one convo in 1 is longer than all the convos in 2 it seems.

All though Garrus, Tali, and thane better have more dialouge in 3.

I personally liked the romances in ME2 better aside from Jacob's (not sure about Miranda's), for reasons such as they employed more emotion and they had more foundation (more than Liara's, at least). In my opinion.

Thane actually had a lot of dialog compared to the other squad mates. Tali & Garrus had the least. But yea, I agree with you, I would like more conversations from them.

The ME2 romances had more emotion for sure, but it felt like:

`Hey I know ya, pretty welll wanna do it! in some cases.

When I start replaying MaleShep, I'm going with the "recruit her last, it's the only way to be sure" plan.

I mentioned before that I like the ME2 romances better. More conversations with them would be great, but I'd rather have less conversations with a character I like than more conversations with a character I don't like. (Nothing against Kaidan, actually. He was a good friend of both MainShep and MaleShep... until Horizon.)

Kaidan as a friend is actually nicer on Horizon than Ash as a friend.

Horizon felt like getting plot hammered then ran over. No fun Bioware, no fun.

Really? I thought their dialogue was almost the same.

I like Garrus' Horizon dialogue though. :) It's nice to see someone be reasonable and stand up for Shepard like that.

OK, played through Noveria up until I get all those quests on Peak 15 and I'm enjoying it all over again. However, I have 2 questions (the 2nd is actually turian related)

1. When you get out of the Mako on the approach to Peak 15, it gives you a Level 1 cold hazard and you can't stay outside too long. Yet when you go to the roof to reattach the cables or whatever, you get no warning. Any reason it'd be warmer on the roof or something?

2. There is a turian scientist in the same room as Han Olar (the guy who says, "If you have to be crazy, be the quiet kind!"). Is that the only turian scientist we see in either game? Because I have to tell you, I was liking his outfit. :D Humans and asari got lab coat thingies, but the turian guy's outfit was just like the casual turian outfit but white with some kind of trim. His whole outfit was white. Looked pretty cool. :)

Anyway, turian scientists--are there any more?

1. Gameplay reasons do not need to make sense? xD

2. I'm not sure, but he's the only one I can remember at the moment. As far as I know, he is the only turian who ever says "God" though (when that human scientist was annoying him with a chemistry joke). By the way, did you listen to all of his conversations? He's pretty awesome. And he used to watch horror vids before lights out.

1) The roof is shielded? I can't imagine they'd want too much snow building up around those important circuits and stuff.

2) A turian who watched Aliens... Awesome. :)

That's true... they probably wouldn't want it buried under several feet of snow. I never actually looked up to see if there were any shields or something like that. Now I wonder how the snow would get there at all if it was shielded, like the snow deep in the tunnels.

Noveria has so many awesome turians. :D Lorik, Li, the turian scientist, that turian guard who wants a donut... Am I forgetting anyone?

I looked up, and I didn't see anything...although I suppose there could have been shielding there and I just didn't see it.  I'm pretty sure there wasn't a roof of any kind, tho'.

I can't think of anybody, but I want to add Inamorda to the list of awesome Noveria characters, even though he's krogan and not turian, simply for this exchange:

Shepard:  What are you drinking.
Inamorda:  Human blood.  With cinnamon.

Was it snowing, or was there just snow on the ground? I don't rememer these things. xD

I should get to see Inamorda's comment during the replay. That's one of the side quests I messed up the first time around.
