Hold me.

*huggle*

One of the first mods I nabbed was one to defugly poor Alistair.  Thankfully, it doesn't look like ME3 involves major engine changes, so yay for the ME team actually having their mechanics together.

EDIT for top: my best friend commissioned this ADORABLE sketchcard from Aimo of my Shep and Garrus being diabetes-inducingly adorable.

Wait wait wait...What's this about an anime?  Linkage?

Obsydian-

There totally is a live action movie in the works.  Rumor has it (and it's just rumor, so don't get too excited) that it's going to be about the events leading up to and including the First Contact War.

If this is so, I demand Saren, Desolas, and MOAR TURIANS.  I just hope they make them look right and don't get too stylized...

sweeeeet! I' glad to know that this is a real thing.   and I hear Seth Green is signed on for it too, which means Normandy. :D      There'd better be so many turians. I agree with your demands for Saren, Desolus and everything.

Also, I couldn't believe what they did to Alistair and Zev in DA2....  my poor sweet sexy men...

Is that an elcor plushie Sable? LOL!

And yeah, Seth Green is in ME3. So I think old squaddies will be back in some way or another. But the graphics is still fantastic in ME2. So I hope they won't be doing remodels of any races (which leads them to not being nearly as attractive...)

Besides, the turians' look is that popular and incredible, that I think they will be the race that Bioware would be least likely to remodel.
Especially seeming though Garrus is rather pleasing to the eye.

He's signed on for the movie too... the live action one. see...

I agree, Tasha.. i think that they'd make a lot of people very angry if they remodeled the turians...

The thing about DA2 is that it was a different art style from the first.. which is why the remodels. And while it was a beautiful art style... the older characters were just... not right. I don't see ME3 going for a different art style... specially not the "Kells-like" style that DA2 had. Theoretically we dont have much to fear. Also, I'm fairly sure that bioware employees troll the forums anyway... :D they have to know how popular the turians are.

It is indeed an elcor plushie.  It's so weird seeing my Shep happy.  She hardly ever smiles.

And since the PS3 version of ME2 uses the ME3 engine, I highly doubt we'll be seeing any major changes.

Unfamiliar with DA, I just looked at the wiki and you're right. I'd be pretty unhappy, too.

But yeah, game-accurate turians for the ME movie. I'm a bit worried over how much involvement Bioware will have, vs. EA. If Bioware's got much to say about it I think that they'll come through but if EA tries to market it to a wider audience-- it's hard to say. Then again, the turians and quarians both got me hooked on the series, when my partner purchased ME2. I've also several friends who are unfamiliar with the games but love Garrus anyway. I'm cautious but definitely hopeful that EA won't try to reinvent the wheel with it.

From video game movies in the past... I've been disappointed by the marketing to mass audiences. However, I know the Red Faction movie is being made FOR FANS on SyFy... so I can only hope that these guys will take the hint.

Honestly, I'd rather see the ME movie as animated rather than live-action.  I feel like they could do the game's art style and flow better justice that way.

Also, I've more or less decided that animated movies are the way to go.  They are literally the only non-sucky movies I've seen the last few years, with the exception of Inception.

I defintlely don't agree with that, I've seen sooo many good movies lately..... but *shrug* different opinions.

I think a live action ME could be cool, provided that they stay true to the world and the fans... the CGI and special effects/make up improvements that have been made over the past years has progressed to the point where they could make this amazing.

Ditto.

I hated a lot of things about the Star Wars prequels but am a big Grievous fan.  I'm just imaging creature effects on par with how he was animated in Revenge of the Sith, or the Predators/predator dogs in the recent Predators movie, and so on and yeah.

Pre-Sovereign Saren in glorious high resolution on a big screen?  YES PLZ.  Same goes for any well-done turian.

Wait...it's a SyFy Original Movie?
I would be so scared if they did one of those for ME...I just saw their version of "Princess of Mars", and the obviously-rubber mandibles on one of the main characters were so poorly done.  (and that's just the beginning of what was wrong with it) :crying:
(disclaimer: I realize you weren't advocating such a thing, but drawing a comparison) ;)

Ya know, they could just make a turian movie... and I think I'd be happy. Hell, they could have Garrus calibrating on the big screen, and i'd be the happiest person ever.

I'd watch that for 2+ hours.  Especially if BK did the voice (mandatory) and he spoke at least once every 5 minutes.

So I guess GameInformer's next issue (May) is going to have a 13 page article on ME3?

I'm nervous. But... I seriously hope that we get some indication on the fate of the squaddies.

I mean... urg.
Need moar Garrus kthxbai. -.- I wonder if they've unclassified his and Legion's blurb on the ME2 page yet... XD If they haven't, I doubt we'll see any mention of him in the article then... grrrr.

I NEED POSITIVE ENERGY GAIZ. -.-

He didn't say that he signed on, just that he'd agree to reprise the role if they offered it. :(

He's in ME3, he is.. someone posted something in here a while ago, a link to someone's LJ where they had spoken to Garrus' script writers... and he had said that he was working on the script fo rhim. So never fear, guys... he's in it.

And YES BK's voice... and yes...

and yeah, I guess you're right Liec.  I thought though, that I had seen somewhere that he was officially signed on for it. Can't remember where.

The only thing I'm nervous about re: Garrus in ME3 is that little Shadow Broker dossier blurb about him.... about how he probably won't reach his full potential under Shepard's command? I'm really hoping that doesn't mean he won't be a squaddie, or that he'll leave the party. I guess he could still be prominent in the story fulfilling his full glorious Garrus-potential in some other impressive way, but I just don't know if I'll get my RDA of Garrus without him actually in the party...

Maybe him leaving to lead his own squad will be a choice. It could be kind of like making Alistair the king.

I havent' played Shadow Broker yet.. sadly. I didnt know about that email. :( damn, I hope they don't do something like that. and if its a choice.. oi, i dont know how i'd make that choice. i mean, he deserves a squad of his own, but my selfishness would stop me from doing what he deserves cause i'd want to keep him with me.
yikes.

Edit: omg i have a cute widdle Saren curled up under a blankie now. ....now to move on to Desolus.  this is the hard part.

I still have high hopes that Garrus will become a spectre but will choose to remain with shepard as a partner. That would be my perfect ending, 2 spectres kicking ass together as they continue to travel the universe. Nothing would make me more teary eyed than Garrus standing before the council , while they recite the same epic speech they gave shepard. And then when Garrus glances to the side, there's shepard leaning against a wall and looking so proud of him.

If Garrus is in it. If not BioWare had better prepare for the swarm of rabid fangirls and boys with Garrus plushies invading Edmonton. And not even Casey's "Ah yes, Garrus Vakarian, a turian vigilante and romance in ME 2. We have dismissed that claim." will help them.

I approve of torches in mob settings and will join if they don't include Garrus! ... I need my turian sniper buddy.

Its not TOO spoilerific is it? Like on the level of finding out he was archangel?
