That's why I've never tried to get a custom avatar. xD I don't have a gaming PC, and I've actually messed up PCs trying to install games that can't work. There's still one Garrus avatar to choose from on this site, if you want.

Romanced Garrus dying on the suicide mission is the same as unromanced Garrus dying on the suicide mission.

Except that  unromanced Garrus dies never having known the warm touch of your forehead. *saddest violin*

Nononono.  I got plenty of tragedy from DA2, thanks.  ME2 is my reprieve of relative sanity.  And I never thought I would say the ME2 crew were the sane ones, but there you have it.

Also, I just played Arrival, guys.  I go play Arrival for some good old fashioned heroic badassery, and come out having committed minor genocide.  WHY BIOWARE.  WHY YOU MAKE ME CRY :crying:

Playing ME2 for sane characters? *looks at Shepards* Um, not me. xD The crazy ones are my favorites.

Child Saren finally has a blanket/body now in my drawing. Desolas and the turian body shape are giving me trouble though. I need to find a screenshot of one of those turians sitting on a bench on the Citadel in ME1.

No problem. :) I remembered that screenshot from many months ago. I probably used around ten reference pics for this. I've tried to draw Desolas' body without them, and it just looks so wrong. xD

I said RELATIVELY sane, Kim.  My Shepard may be emotionally cold and ruthlessly efficient, but she is not a crazy maleficar revolutionary who dates an abomination terrorist

Now I just imagined MainShep and Kaya Hawke fighting over whose boyfriend is crazier. xD And of course, it would end with Kane Amell saying, "They're both possessed well-intentioned extremists with a blue glow. Neither one can lose a contest in crazy. But at least Kaya got some action without paying four billion credits to bring her guy back from the dead."

Well, clearly you have a type

I still haven't decided if Natale Hawke and Anders beat out my Jedi Exile, Alina Marikh, and Atton for craziest couple ever.  Crazy apostate terrorist revolutionaries?  Or revenge-obsessed and psychotic fallen Jedi?

My favorite characters are an oddly specific type. The first time I saw Justice glow, I thought, "He looks like Saren! :D" Kim Shepard approves +100. And the funny thing is, my Hawke isn't a DA2 version of MainShep.

...I need to play KOTOR soon, because that romance sounds awesome.

Atton and Exile are from KOTOR 2, actually.  I highly doubt you'd like the KOTOR 1 LI.  And they can be wonderful and psychotic together.  Light-side Exile?  PSHAW.  It's all about the revenge and the Force Lightning.

In that case, they follow yet another BioWare pattern of mine. I don't like the romance options in the first game, but the second game has my favorite (and others that I like too). ME1, didn't like my choices and wanted Garrus. ME2, Garrus! DAO, didn't like my choices and wanted Anders (Justice too, as a Fade romance) in the expansion. DA2, got 'em both in a magical two for one special. My favorite romance options are also vengeful, and quit/escaped from whatever rule-based system they used to belong to. It sounds like the new guy will fit right in.

So I was just thinking about this.... I think its cause I was dreaming about turians.
I'm probably rediculously late to the party with this realization, but oh well. Our three main turians cover the philosophical extremes.
Nihlus = extreme good. I get the feeling that he's the hero type who does whats right. I see him taking the moral high ground.
Garrus = generally sticks to around the middle of the road. Potential to go either way, but would never go the extreme in either direction.
Saren = ...I don't want to say evil, but he's pretty evil. Again, even before indoctrination, he definitly did not seem to do things the morally right way.

Thoughts? or am I reading too much into this?

Obsydian! Your new avatar is hot :D

Wow, I just read about 20 pages since my graphics card died over the weekend and I couldn't read the forums properly until it was fixed.

So happy to hear that Keener has started recording his lines, awesome news indeed!

Not sure how I feel about Ganders, detail was cool and all but I'd much rather see shirtless Garrus.. or maybe Garrus in Varric's clothing (which may as well be shirtless!).

What else? Oh, seeing lots of new banners, very nice. Keeps things interesting and new.

I wonder how Garrus' personal quest will work out in ME3? I know a lot of folks are speculating about how we will gain species loyalty but Garrus seems to be a bit of an odd advocate for the Hierarchy. Still looking forward to a potentially awkward confrotation with his family on Palaven but can't really figure out how it will all play out.

If we have to choose between certain species (like geth or quarians, salarians or krogan) would you choose the turians over humanity? If the Alliance messes around with the Normandy SR-2 (or tries to go near those thanix canons), I'm totally in favour of the Hierarchy over the Alliance (though of course we don't know if we have to make such a choice). Just curious what you guys would do in a hypothetical situation like that.

.. Now I want to see Garric, darnit. I'm imagining something similar to Aimo's Garrus-Mal crossover. Mmm.

RE: Garrus/Palaven missions. It'd be interesting if Garrus wasn't a support for turians, but instead a counterpoint to them. Like in order to secure their loyalty you have to do something that he doesn't agree with and you actually have to choose between what Garrus thinks is right and what the turians want. I think that might kill me. But I would still side with Garrus.

It might be a bit premature since we don't know the circumstances, but I've pretty much already decided if there's a choice between turians and anyone, turians win. Sorry humanity.

Thanks! :D figured "nameless turian" needed to go.

Oh dear. what a choice. See, I want to say right here that I would choose the turians. But .... honestly, I dont know. hell IRL, I HATE humanity. but... that doesn't mean that I want them all dead. Humanity is a **** race, but really what makes all the others better than us?

However, if it was a choice between Garrus and really, anything else... I'd choose Garrus. No one else has stuck by me. Except Joker. So there you have it, Garrus and Joker.

I would LOVE to see a choice like that though. Something that really really makes you think, and questions your loyalty to your LI as well as to your cause. Of course, Garrus is the type to not make you have to choose....

Gods, now I'm going to be wondering all day if I'd choose the turians over the humans. lol.

The way I see it, humanity seems to spread all over and there are always a ton of humans peppered in places like Omega and the Citadel. We're like vermin, really, we don't stick to our own little territory like other species do. So it'd be harder to eradicate all humans, I think. So if it comes to saving a turian planet or a human one, I'm going to save the turians. There are always more humans lying around.
