But we were proved right in the end!  The confirmation of Garrus' L.I. status was such an awesome moment. I honestly couldn't quite believe it.

I remember those days.  Full of emotional roller-coasters, they were.  And strawberries.  And our Glorious Leader fending off the pessimism.  Good times.

That is one of my most favorite pieces of Garrus fanart, ever. I really, really wish we could get prints of that. (I use it for my phone's wallpaper...I'm such a dork. )

So, I have a quick inquiry. I could never do this, so I want to see if any of you stronger people could...

what happens if you're in a relationship with someone. Garrus, for arguements sake... and they die in the end... is there a different cutscene? like, a mourning scene or something?

Also. I want to hug Garrus. here's the problem... how does one let go?

I totally thought there'd be hugging when we first found Archangel. I mean, she totally walks up to him with her arms out all happy to see him. and then... EMOZ and NO HUGGING. so sad.

@Arcian... d'awwww. that sucks. I wanted a sadness scene. maybe in ME3.... since no one comes back from the death again.
I finally got my GI, and read through it. now, I want ME3. right now. *sighs*

I have a thing I do with some of my friends, where, when I see them, I run up and hug them and basically do not let go until it becomes slightly awkward. Here's the thing... I do it with platonic female friends, exes, all sorts of people. So now I have this picture... of Femshep getting back together with Kaidan, but still tackle-hugging Garrus all the time, just you know, for fun. Because they are still bros.

And Garrus giving Kaidan his biggest, toothiest smile every time it happens.

Because yeah. Even if I broke up with him, I'd never be able to stop hugging Garrus. That would just be madness.

(Note: I am lying to myself if I think I will not have a save file for both scenarios - the Kaidan reunion and the Garrus continuation. I am both tormented by and looking foreword to this triangle.)

I've always been sort of a fan of all trades - one day I'll be watchin' some anime, the next day reading some books, whatever, s'all good. Sooo, which one are you going to go for first in ME3? I found it interesting how your Shepard thought of Garrus as "just a friend" until she was dumped by Kaidan.

In the case of my main Shepard, Kaidan died on Virmire. She hadn't really "connected" with any of the L.I.s, but his death effected her deeply because she thought of her crew as a kind of substitute family (she's a colonial). That's also why she was so disturbed by the initial hostility of the new crew, and she found herself relying more and more on Garrus, until he became more of a partner than a subordinate.

It's a bit of my feelings mixed in with my character's backstory. I didn't fall in love with Garrus right away in ME1. I thought he was a cool guy, and his voice was awesome, but he was my bro, y'know? We were kindred spirits, except that my Shepard tried to work around authority whereas Garrus just barged right through it. It was only near the end of ME1 that I realized that I'd developed a weird kind of crush on him. I'd talked to him more than any other squaddie, he (and Wrex) were always on my team, and I felt closer to him than any of the others.

I already know that I'll have a file for both. I have a Shep saved for Kaidan, who's not even gonna cheat on him. ((that will be hard) 
I do really like Kaidan. A lot.....  Horizon aside, I think he's a great guy. He reminds me of Alistair....  

I also amd terrified by the idea of the triangle. I dont want to hurt either. lol. 

Also, you all have inspired me that I think I'm gonna write the story of my mainShep. I need to break my writers block anyway...

And I personally think of turians as having a higher body temperature than humans (apex predator and all that), so warm Garrus bear-hugs?  YES PLEASE!

If only my Shep weren't so jumpy about personal space.  I think if Garrus would have to get used to being biotically thrown across the room from time to time if he's going to surprise!hug her.  And then there would be apologies and snuggletimes, so it's a win either way for Garr-bear

Garrus hugging femshep would be wonderful, I've posted this before but not in Gif form. From appleseed ex machina,  deunan and briareos (a man turned cyborg and his lover/partner who never leaves his side) have the kind of the embrace I can imagine Garrus and shepard having.

I wonder... I think part of my fascination with Garrus/turians is just the relative difference in height. I love tall guys. But me, I'm relatively tall myself, so I've never dated anyone more than an inch taller than me. There's just something very appealing about an LI with enough height to pull off an embrace like that.

I KNOW, RIGHT? What a freaking tease you are, Shepard.

@MoonEcho: Aren't they the same height, though? Turians look like they should be taller, but they don't seem to be in-game. Probably so that they'll go through doors and stuff without clipping problems.

Appleseed Ex Machina

There's a lot more cute moments as well as BADASS ones. I think I loved this movie as much as I did because of garrus/femshep. I just kept thinking all the way through it "this is SO them!"  From how badass they are when they work together, to how sweet and comical they are as a couple.

 Maybe not quite as comparatively tall as the fellow in the gif, hm... *checks* OK, maybe not quite as much taller than I was thinking at all. Garrus IS a bit taller though. He SEEMS tall. *flail* For reference and for fun!

also, thank you for the link!  i'll have to watch it soon.  hehe, i have a feeling i'll have a similar reaction as you.  love it more cause all I'll be thinking of is Garrus and Shep.
