I only said there was nothing in the game to contradict it. That's a long way off from claiming something is canon. And in the long history that I planned out for my MainShep and Saren, I don't think he acts out of character at all.
But there is
plenty in the game to contradict it, unless I'm imagining all of those times Saren talks smack about humans. His opinions throughout "Revelation" regarding humans' galactic standing and their readiness to join the Spectres. Canon: Saren dislikes humans. A lot. Canon: Shepard killed Saren, whether through talking him into suicide or firing the killing shot him/herself.
It makes no sense. As I have already stated, there is nothing wrong with nonsensical pairings. The thing that makes me (and some other fans as well) go aldkfa;lkdj is when people insist that their nonsense is, in fact, completely logical.
But I'm guessing that Saren x FemShep makes about as much sense to you as Saren x Nihlus does to me.
Nice try. Bait: not taken.

In the end, it's just fans having fun and using their imagination. Don't like the pairing, don't read the fanfiction or look at the fanart. Simple as that.
A bit difficult when almost every post concerning the guy is followed up with something about how your Shep's got a claim on him. We get it. In your 'verse, she regards Saren like my dog regards the fire hydrants when I walk him in town. (That is a joke.)
Kim, what I was complaining about is,
if it even applies to you, by no means restricted
just to you. It seems you think you do this stuff-- otherwise, you wouldn't have felt as though it was an attack-- and if you want to get superdefensive, whatever, it's up to you. However, what I was talking about is something that happens a lot with various antagonists in almost every fandom I'm involved in, and it's extremely frustrating to see. Somehow, these characters always seem to get undercut by a bunch of mushy. gooey feelings. I've seen it most frequently with Shepards of both genders, possibly because of the allowance for fanboy/fangirl self-insertion fantasies, although it pervades any and all pairings. I've even done it myself, although I tend to bury those works at the deepest end of my fic folder!
Again, my beef isn't the pairings themselves. I've read excellent Saren/Shep fics and I've read utter drek. It's the manipulation of a character to fit into a person's ideal fantasy that is obnoxious.
As for the age-old "don't like, don't read" thing...I could say "Don't like the opinions/critique, don't post it on the internet. Simple as that." I'm fully prepared for people to call my characterizations, fic, and so on out on any B.S.; are you?
