"and through it aaaaall, she offers me protection
a lot of love and affection
whether I’m right or wrong
and down the waterfaaaaall
wherever it may take me
I know that life wont break me
when I come to call, she wont forsake me
I’m loving angels instead"

Damn it, now I've got that idiot's music in my head. Krogan slash fiction is better than that in my opinion.

Although, I gotta say, whereas I get the collar pop quite often when I bring Garrus along, I've only ever seen the Robot Dance once. Legion now stubbornly refuses to do it, even if my Shep stands gawking at it for minutes on end. It's like the proverbial watched pot that never boils.

EDIT: Ogeez, I just noticed the Robbie Williams excerpt. Dammit. Must now find another song to get stuck in my head instead. Gah!

Hyrule! Are you eavesdropping on my playlist? I swear I just played that before reading your post.

I didn't think he could get any more epic.. and yet.. there it is.

I'm sorry but my owner is too busy smashing his head into the nearest hard object whilst screaming "Get out of my head Williams!" to post anything coherent.

Yours sincerely,

Ahaha, caught you. :P Nothing to be ashamed about.

Speaking of music, I'm making a Garrus playlist and I was wondering if I could have some suggestions. Songs that you think are perfect for Garrus in general, or shippy songs that you think are just right for Garrus and Shepard (bromance is welcome as well).

Huh, I dont think I've stood still long enough to get Legion to do the robot. I think I need to change this. Once I get Legion again.

Also, I think I'm glad that I dont know that song.... :D
And lastly, thank you. lol

Oh the die hard song for sure. Garrus would play this while he totally owns everything.

The two songs I can think of right off are:

"Wanted Dead or Alive" - Bon Jovi
"Lonely Day" - System of a Down (really makes me think about his attempted last stand on Omega)

There are probably lots of other great choices, most would be upbeat rock or metal, the sort of stuff one listens to when they're.. popping the heatsink.

After his loyalty mission, Shep sent him a copy of Billy Joel's "Shades of Grey."

Some things were perfectly clear, seen with the vision of youth
No doubts and nothing to fear, I claimed the corner on truth
These days it's harder to say I know what I'm fighting for
My faith is falling away, I'm not that sure anymore

"Tubthumping"?  :D  This would be an excellent Garrus theme.

Edit: Have FemShep singing the female vocals-- "pissin' the night away"/"Danny Boy"/etc...

Julia Shepard is a secret Billy Joel fangirl. I put "Uptown Girl" and "Only the Good Die Young" on my 360 and listened to them over and over again while doing the Mako missions (that and "Don't Fear the Reaper").

Anything Bon Jovi for Shep and Garrus being straight-up badass.
"This is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars.  I'm starting to apply that damned song to every BioWare game ever.
If you want sappy, shippy, nausea-inducing sweet, "My Hands" by Leona Lewis is the song I involuntarily think of for the romance.

I'd also give him "Land of Confusion" (I still like the original Genesis, but the Disturbed cover is quite good, too.)

"This is the world we live in
and these are the hands we're given
use them and let's start trying
to make it a place fighting for
."

Tangentially related, I was listening to Jonathan Coulton's cover of Famous Blue Raincoat a few days ago, and it occurred to me that it perfectly captured the Kaidan/Garrus/Shepard love triangle.  It would be from Kaidan's perspective, writing the letter to Garrus. It tells the story of two guys who were friends. One of them got the girl, the other one went off on his own, anyway... The imagery doesn't fit perfectly, but the emotion does.

"And you treated my woman to a flake of your life
And when she came back, she was nobody's wife
."

I always found the ending song for ME1 (M4P2 - The Faunts) to be fairly applicable to Garrus and Shepard (it sort of applies to all of the squaddies, but especially the two who have had their brush with death and might not pull through).
