I wonder if the Devs will ever have a Q&A session or something. There are just so many random things I want to ask. For example, does Garrus purr? A lot of fanfics seem to take it as canon that Turians purr, but I've never seen it confirmed.

God I love this picture:

Was there ever any doubt? :innocent:

Everybody loves Garrus. He's the ultimate bro for the guys (as well as the ladies who don't romance him) and he's one of the more liked romance options.

As long as they don't change him because he's an LI.

I don't really see that happening. Even during the ME2 romance Garrus was still Garrus. That's why I liked it so much. Why would they change him if we love him the way he is?

Ouch, that's a blow.  Hopefully Garrus won't merge with a Spirit of Justice to fight... well... I don't know.  All evil?  I mean, now that I think about it, he's already a bit like Vengence/Justice.  Hmm...

...Ah, I see your point. Still, since the ME-trilogy is a continuous kind of thing, I think they'd emphasize consistant characterization from one game to the other. This is the Big Finale. Bioware are working hard to get it right.

I'm glad I dodged that bullet.  I knew about it before even playing ME1 and had already planned on not romancing anyone so my MainShep would romance Garrus in ME2.

Okay, so the second I saw the Garrus video I thought 'I HAVE TO GO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT THIS'. And then after I'd finished it I went here and... sat for fifteen minutes while I tried to think of something constructive to say aside from 'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'.

So many things I love about that video. First, obviously I LOVE them for showing us not just a concept or one screenshot, but a ton of angles of his character model! ::squealed SO loud, seriously::

Very happy about the return of the scarring!!! I like what they've done with it, the texture looks more refined and I'm glad the bandage is gone so we can see the full extent.

Also, am I the only one who finds his new collar incredibly hot? >_> All that extra detail makes it seem more realistic, I never liked the simple black turtleneck deal, especially since it seems like it'd be practically impossible to remove.

I'm not sure how I feel about the colors, though. He went on and on about black and blue being Garrus' iconic scheme and then showed off an outfit that's almost completely chrome! What gives? I'd prefer if the chrome and blue were swapped, personally.

But regardless of that it's an amazingly cool design. And heck, IT'S GARRUS. He makes anything look good. <3

What I loved more about the video than seeing ME3 Garrus (and I REALLY loved that) was the acknowledgement of Garrus' popularity, about considering what the fans want to see and that they where thinking about him from an LI perspective, meaning the girl gamers are getting consideration.

Perhaps most of all though, I like what this reveal could mean. They seem to have gone through a lot of trouble designing a definitively updated look for Garrus. Would they do that if he's only going to be a temporary companion? Maybe, but I'm hopeful that it means something more.

PS: It could be how the model was rendered, but did his face look a little.. different to anyone else? It looks more angular and thin to me. It could just be the way the camera was set. Not that I'm complaining, he still looks great.

ME3 Garrus: All I can say is, "be still my turian-loving heart." Goodness, BW has certainly done him justice, I think.

It's a good thing I'm stuck typing on my phone or I'd be exploding my fangirling-self all over this thread in squee-fueled ecstasy.

Yeah I noticed that too, I doubt his face will be changed much in game though from what we usually see.

Oh and so Turian may not actually have any humps or whatever you want to call it?
I hope they give him some nice, on ship clothes though, better than in the romance scene.

Like I said, it probably has a lot to do with how they rendered it. Camera angles can distort shapes somewhat.

I think he basically said, 'We don't know what the cowl/collar is either', there wasn't really an answer. :<

And amen regarding his civvies. Come on, Garrus, you've got more style than that monstrosity you put on for the cutscene.:P

I'm not on a phone.

SO I WILL SQUEE FOR TWO.

-.-
But in all seriousness... I'm screwed for spoilers.

I can't seem to avoid them.
Not unless I divorced myself of half my fandom fun online.

And that's just not possible at this point.

So yea.... I'll see if I can keep most of the game spoiler free, but if it involves Garrus, I need to know x.x

The collar looks almost like the collar from a jacket because of the texture and the wrinkles it has on it. Maybe it's a hint of what he wears under the armor =P
