I have such a girl-crush on Selendis it's ridiculous.

And yet she was only in two missions (three if you count [spoiler]).

I'll let Tychus Cat say it for me:

I think pretty much everyone in our generation capable of xenophilia was influenced by Disney at some point.

Those bastards.

For me, though, Blizzard did it.  Damn you, Starcraft!

Starcraft did it for me as well.......I never thought a half human half insectoid woman could look so good.......

This just confirms again that I am old and out of touch with kids today.

Damn you kids today!

Also, yes Cheez, you should draw more fem Turians. Everyone should draw more!

I ain't a kid.  29 years old, and dreading 30:o

About infested Kerrigan....hot in a very alien way.  Too bad she'd either 1) decimate your brain or 2) rip you to pieces and eat you.

Don't worry, man, it's nothing personal. On the internet, everyone is a 13yo mouthbreather who only knows of and plays MW2. Badly.

Haha, I'm not trying to actually imply that everyone is children, I'm just always finding myself in situations where I'm 5-10 years older or 10-20 years younger than everyone else in the room. I don't know why this is, but it keeps happening. It seems a lot of people here are either college age or just-post-college, so it makes me feel ooooold sometimes.

Here, take this as an apology: I was saving it for a legitimate top of the page, but it's really too good to save

This girl is one of my favorite artists of any sort. Her Mass Effect strips convinced me that it was really OK to be an insane Mass Effect fan.

I think Garrus will be fine. As Lilihierax proved, some foodstuffs just pass through their system harmlessly. Garrus, being a calibre rougher than everyone else, could probably eat a krogan and prance away merrily without a care in the world.

Or he might explode in a rain of gore as the now angry krogan charges its way out of him. Best not to try.

I have some catching up to do, but I just saw this on my tumblr dashboard and had to share. I thought it was adorable

The lyrics do knock on Kaidan a bit, though. I may not be a fan of his, but it is both sad and hilarious every time he is made fun of within the fandom. Poor Ell-tee...

I know there's a Garrus in there, but that Tali is what makes the picture xD.

What kind of lettering are you thinking of? Letterig for a poster or a single caption? Lettering for a title? Or lettering for dialogue?

If it's dialogue I would not do more than one font for a character. This is
just a "me" thing, but stylistically and in comics it's best to stick
with one font. Deadpool has three voices in his head, which argue
constantly with each other, and yet they're all the same font.

If it's not for dialogue, I'd say Archangel could do well in a Graffiti style, with slightly dripping letters.

Garrus I'd do in a military stencil, like the lettering on M*A*S*H. Maybe still a little sloppiness, but more regimented.

(Also, everyone here is slightly older on average than I estimated. good.. good. And despite my age, I still get carded. A lot. I got carded for Paul, for chrissakes. PAUL. Because 16 year old girls are always sneaking into R Rated SF comedies.)

Hell yeah. She may be wearing a helmet, but you can practically see her making this facial expression Posted Image.

And I hope that in ME3, you will be able to take Garrus with you on missions on Earth. What place on Earth do you think he would want to visit most?

CCG... its mostly just for wording... not dialogue or anything. captions for pictures. You see, my current sketchbook is turning into a Bioware tribute. Currently the only things in there are Garrus and Nihlus and I'm working on my Hawke. Some of the pictures are gonna end up captioned and such, so thats what i was thinking. Lettering has never been anywhere near my strong point, sadly... So I'm lookin for ideas. :D thankyou.

I can see military lettering for Garrus, now that you mention it. And i have NO shortage of reference for that *grumbles about military shyte all over the house*
Not sure about graffiti for Archangel... (thats the one I'm workin on now, just the word, 'Archangel") I suppose I'd have to see it to decide whether i liked it.

yup. :D I'll try it and see.

How about an etched effect? Like how Garrus carved the names of his squad on the inside his visor. By the way loving that picture of gar an tali in london, I'd make them eat fish n chips ^_^.

Also for the people calling themselves old farts , you're really not ^_^ , the common age of people around here are twenty somethings anyway.

Ah yeah, graffiti effect is also a **** if you're not actually painting or using photoshop... drawing it is super annoying. (I once had a comic character who was a graffiti artist. I ended up giving up on that comic... too bad, I liked the plot.)

I think the etched text Hyrule_Gal suggested would be cool. Like a name carved into the wood or metal of a door, that kind of thing.

Yeah... I do like that idea a rather lot. :D I shall definitly have to try it.
I've attempted drawing graffiti before, it was more fail than i could belive. lol. i envy those people who can draw that way.

...and now i really really want fish and chips. god i love fish and chips.

Things I have learned by reading the stuff I missed while in class:

1. At 20, I now feel like the little kid in the room with all you grown-up types spouting your ages.

2. Stylized clothing cosplay is win and gives me ideas.

3. TYCHUS CAT ZOMG.

Anyway, I am going to go draw some stuff now cuz I had a BSN-related idea that would please the Garrus thread. But I'm not saying what it is because I want it to be a surprise and I have a tendency to get bored with my "cool ideas" halfway through the drafting stage. Whoo!

I'd take him to San Diego. Coronado is beautiful and military.[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]

Really though I don't know where he would want to go. He didn't tell us like Thane did.

EDIT: My fiance said we should take Garrus to Chicago or New York. So he can "clean up" while looking at antiques.

Broad shoulders, thin waist, wide hips, dog legs.  Yep.  Also, the rigid social structure and deep military tradition.

Turians kind of look like country bumpkins compared to the protoss, though.  But that's because everything protoss must be big, shiny, and mystical.  I think I prefer the more pointy, rusty, utilitarian look--the turians don't try so hard to show off.

I have such a girl-crush on Selendis it's ridiculous.

Count me in the "Protoss are awesome" camp. *points to decal stamp*  I also have a girl-crush on Selendis, but I think the majority of my alien crush is reserved for Zeratul.  It doesn't hurt that he's voiced now by Fred Tatasciore :D

It always amuses me comparing the characters for the same VA.  I wonder who would win between Saren and Zeratul?  Or if the universe would just explode from the awesome.

Yeah, Tatasciore is like the man of a thousand voices. Dude voices Baird in Gear of War, too.

DayumShameTychusCat.jpg that Zeratul's original VA died.
