I don't think it's a Spectre thing. Nihlus had red and black/grey armor. I don't know if we've seen Hierarchy armor yet though. It could be that.

Vasir had blue armor too. And so does Ashley in the GI magazine, and she's *supposedly* a Spectre if she's alive. It's a bit early to say, but blue may be the "official" Spectre armor color.

Edit: Above post blows this theory away unless retcons come in. Our favorite opening turian didn't have blue armor.

The armor Vasir and our VS Spectres wear better be "we're on Council business" kind of armor, and not necessarily mandatory. It's hard to be sneaky with the Spectre logo on your chest...

And wow, that screenshot is amazing.
And Kaidans armor on Horizon was black, wasn't it? All of the armor in ME1 was different colors depending on the type of armor that it was... and they were all Alliance there, right?

By looking at the pictures of his healed scar I'd say it's a tattoo... if it were war paint then he'd apply it over the scars.

The impression I got is that Garrus wasn't with Shep on Earth. My guess is that the squad split after the Normandy was appropriated by the Alliance, and some time must have passed between that and the trial because they got the chance to upgrade the ship.

I don't think he's obligated to follow the orders of the Hierarchy, or else he wouldn't have become a vigilante to begin with. In the end I think he'll go where he considers he can do more good.

Yeah but if it's long-lasting war paint he wouldn't have to re-apply it very often (and the damage done to his face shows the markings being "chipped" away, it also has a faded look). I get the impression that it's not something that had to be "touched up" except every few months/years or so.

You apply one with a brush, the other with a needle.

Hm... technically, thay makes henna paint.

At the start of ME3? Regarding Garrus' family: The mom seems to be in bad shape, mentally if not physically.  When you go in to save them I can imagine a scenario where you will be forced to leave her behind.  Maybe even Papa Vakarian will opt to stay with her 'til the end, and you have to make your grand escape with only Solana?  Sad, but it would be amazingly so.  If given the choice, however, I'd take Papa over Mama - I reeeeally want to have a meet-up with his disapproving daddy!

One- the game starts mid-trial apparently. Read it i think in gameinformer. BUT i'd love to see Garrus' reaction to shep in handcuffs too!
Regardless whether IN or before the trial [like i mentioned in the last pg] I would like it if Garrus was there in the courtroom, and as Shep is being bashed with horrible accusations, Garrus cant take it any longer and yells something in sheps defense. XD
I bet it is the vs and anderson in the trial too- seeing as its for EARTH. Probably a human only thing. And because of the 1st contact war not all humans like turians. Bet they wouldnt even let garrus into the room. Be funny if for that scene anderson, the vs and garrus go into the room, the guards/security stop garrus and tell him to wait outside - he demands to be inside and b4 he gets rough, anderson says he's with them XD

it wont happen- but Garrus hitting some courtroom security would b great.

Augh, I hope Garrus' family is okay. I like that he had a somewhat normal family in comparison to everyone else. Does he have to lose everything but Shepard by the end of the game? 

I really want to see Garrus' reaction to the trial.

One thing about the trial; I've seen a lot of people assuming Shepard breaks out, has this been stated somewhere? My first thought would be that Shepard would be temporarily released to deal with the Reaper problem, not that s/he escaped. Ugh, I just got a horrible thought that the Normandy doesn't actually get returned to Shepard, Shepard is still a prisoner and under temporary custody of the VS or Sanders and one of them is in charge of the ship now, which is why it has Alliance logos. That would annoy me so much. ... <-- more speculation than spoiler, but just in case, since some people here don't want to hear anything spoilerish.

@Aris: If what you speculated actually happened, I think my Shep would go into a murderous rage. Seriously, she is the only person in the game who seems to care that the Reapers are coming and prioritize that first. But any attempt to control Shepard is only temporary and usually ends in the horrible deaths of those who had the bad idea in the first place

In the end, Garrus might even lose Shep.

I do hope the Normandy will be back under Shep's command and something tells me it will be. This is also meant to be a show trial, if Hackett is correct. Were Shep going to be a prisoner, I would expect Shep would have been in cuffs by the end of Arrival.

Also, I'm starting to think maybe at least Garrus' mother and, perhaps, Solana will not be in Palaven. Instead I think they will be at that Salarian place for his mom's treatment. I don't know about his father.
