Not sure, I imagine it is grey or darkgrey but would need to ask Aris to be sure. It's about the safest thing we have without proper spoiler tags (and I do hope we see a ME3 forum in the near future because spoilers are starting to run rampant).

Top of the page strikes again. Here, have a poorly drawn shirtless Garrus that was doodled while Skyping with some of the lovely Palaven chat ladies today:

Okay, what font color is that precisely? Because I like that system.

Warning: Possible ME3 spoilers below, be warned. (gah colours aren't working, scroll down to read)

What side do you think Garrus will prefer in the geth/quarian and
krogan/salarian conflicts? It's obvious that ME1 Garrus supports the
genephage, but the less naive ME2 Garrus may not. He also doesn't really
show any paticular bias towards the quarians or geth. Opinions?

I do not think it should be required of people that they join a group or go off-site to discuss spoilers when there is a perfectly good spoiler forum, as that splits the fanbase far more than a new thread. If people are so inclined and able, dark grey text can mostly obscure whatever they personally feel is spoilerish. Or a separate spoiler thread can be created to discuss each particular new blurb of information released. *shrug* It is a non-issue to me as it is.

@Darknoon: Considering his renegade tendencies, I could see him falling on the side of what is most practical/expedient to victory. Granted, I can't see him outright siding with the Krogan...the rest, well...that's harder to guess at.

I think Garrus would probably support the quarians. He doesn't seem like the type to support so-called 'rogue AI' and I doubt he'll be more receptive in ME3 when we're fighting Reapers, especially after what they do to Palaven. The geth seem like they'd be really useful against the Reapers, but they also seem like the biggest liability since they fell to indoctrination so easily the first time.

As for the krogan, I think he has more respect for them than he did in ME1, but unless the salarians are behind something seriously sinister, I still see him siding with them.

That said, if he suggests I pick a side I'll be sorely tempted to agree with him even if I was planning on doing the exact opposite. :?

I also realized that, based on the LotSB letter, Garrus has to have told Mordin about all his problems, since Mordin had the collector tissue and the strings to pull. Which means that they are probably buddies now. Which also explains why Mordin knew to warn me about... the chafing. Still, this confirms my hypothesis that Garrus and Mordin are totally bros.

Aside related to the other conversation going on here: Remember that the Turians are primarily responsible for actually USING the Genophage. The Salarians wanted to use it as a bargaining chip, it was the turians who decided "Nope! We're dumping this stuff!" Sure the Salarians have since secretly updated the Genophage (which is unwise, in my mind... but I've written other essays about that), and while that's also super questionable, I see it as a "well we can't change what happened, might as well maintain the messed up status quo, because it's better than nothing" kind of decision.

I'm hoping they don't give us a black and white, all Krogan are cured or all Krogan die out choice, about the Genophage "cure." A cure that can be deployed to specific subjects and rationed could be used diplomatically. A "partial" cure that increases fertility significantly but not to its original numbers would also be useful. We could make clan Urdnot the main distribution center and limit supply, which would encourage people to fall in line with Wrex's peace. I'm not sure if it would work, I'd have to run some simulations. But there are a lot of good "shades of grey" options I'm hoping for.

And that is why i love them both.

That reminds me...

"SALARIAN!"
"KROGAN!"
"TURIAN!"
"GETH!"
"ASARI!"

"Gooooooo Shepard!"

"By your powers combined, I am Commander Shepard!"

Commander Shepard, he's our hero
Gonna take the Reapers down to zero

He's our powers magnified
And he's fighting on the galaxy's side

Commander Shepard, he's our hero
Gonna take the Reapers down to zero

Gonna help him put asunder
Bad guys who like to kill and plunder

"You'll pay for this Commander Shepard!"

We're the Shepardeers
You can be one too
'Cause saving our galaxy is the thing to do!

Killing and assimilating is not the way
Hear what Commander Shepard has to say!

"I have to go."

Edited for much lulz.

Holy crap, that is epic Arcian. Suddenly, I will never be able to look at the ME series the same way again. Of course, this won't be the first time or the last. :P

I have my ******, overly utopian theory that the Normandy will become a prototype for a future overhaul to the Spectres (since obviously that system... isn't completely reliable. /cough). Note: this is just pure speculation and fangirlism, not spoilers based on any information.

Anyway... the Normandy works so well because it's a team of aliens with different loyalties and different backgrounds, all working together. This means that if Shepard ever went totally "off the reservation" in some way, Tali could tell the fleet, Mordin could tell Special Tasks, word would get out.

So in the future, the Spectre system as it is now should be small teams consisting of multiple alien species, headed by a single commander who would have a role similar to that of current Spectres, just with increased accountability to their own team. In the cases where a Spectre has to operate solo for stealth purposes, or where a strike team has to be composed of a single race for infiltration purposes, their support and review structure should be composed of other races.

Since Shepard started the system, they could be called "flocks." What? Stop laughing!

It's a good idea, but i'd rather call them "Nakamas". Of course, Tv Tropes has completely ruined my vocabulary, and the word "Nakamas" isn't even correctly used in this context.

But how about... "crews"?

Too generic. What would be the proper collective noun here? A "haunt" of Spectres?

I prefer keeping it simple: Spectre's crew/squad.

Yeah, Spectre Squad was the "simple" solution I thought of... but it sounds too much like an 80s cartoon series about crime-solving ghosts... hmm...

Objection withdrawn.

I can totally see that creeping into criminal parlance:
"Guys, we have to lay low for a while, I think the old base may be... haunted."

Sorry Eradyn I didn't mean to seem rude or single you out, tone is hard to get across over text and I didn't word what I said very well. No need to go over board with the whole spoilers thing it would just be nice if rather than splitting the community we could just tag our spoilers. I didn't really mind I was just using your little spoiler to remind people but I didn't explain myself very well. Sorry for causing a bit of a fuss guys :|

Now back to Garrus. One of my favorites :D
