I mean, come on. Who do you think sent that mating request for Shepard, really?

Search your hearts and know it to be true.

Dunno. You can't really get your arms around him.

@CGG: And now I can't unsee Garrus hooking up with half the women in his unit at some point or another. Thanks.

I'd love to see how Garrus is with Turian women. Is he all suave and do Turian panties fall off whenever he walks by? He's already charmed two human women (Shepard and Dr. Michel, if I'm reading the tone of her e-mail correctly) albeit probably on accident.

Garrus: I don't understand it but I have this power over human women...could someone please tell me what it means when a human female throws her panties at you...
Mordin: Will tell you when your older daisy.
Shepard: *facepalms*

No no no, not half of them. Just the ones who are top rated in their various combat specialties.

I mean seriously, the guy has standards.

Garrus does prefer women that can kick his ass, doesn't he?

Who knows. Maybe Garrus enjoys a more dominate type of woman...

Was anyone disappointed in what he was wearing when he comes to Shepard's room?

Perhaps colorful outfits are considered elegant among turians? It reminded me of some birds mating rituals, which would be appropriate, if a bit disturbing. Of course, Garrus probably doesn't possess any fancy clothing, but I'm sure it was the best he could get.

Also, check it out: <3

The thing that makes me see him as not your ordinary pickup artist is the way he says "There's nobody in the galaxy I respect more than you," during that first conversation.

So I get the feeling that he's a charmer, but only tends to hook up with women he thinks are awesome in some context other than just being cute at a bar. Like he goes to some weapons conference and sees a Turian scientist present a revolutionary paper on calibrations, and then picks her up at an afterparty.

This sounds about right to me.
Also, weapons conferences have the best afterparties.

@CGG: Well, yeah (and I get the feeling he didn't read that paper all the way through).

Privately, I theorize that turians find personal skill incredibly attractive. Like say you were an impressive public speaker, or a clawball champion, or could assemble a rifle faster than any other kid in boot camp... they'd find that hot. It'd also tie into their whole societal structure--where you have to be good at your job to get ahead, and the people who are most respective are the ones who've contributed the most.

Eh, just my personal musings.

This... is a thing that I do.

When I found out that this one guy I knew was a robotics engineer? Yeah. It definitely raised the interest quotient.

I've never seriously liked a guy who wasn't a genius or fantastic at something. (Reading it back, this sounds unhealthy) So I guess I never considered that it could be a defining social trait of an alien race.

That said, I think the Turians are less likely to ooh and ah over artists and performers, and more likely to be impressed by that rifle kid, or people who have profoundly practical skills that contribute to society. Which isn't better or worse than what we do, but it's interesting.

I hadn't seen that before.

First time I've seen Garrus without his eyepiece.

I think he has that charm. And he probably knows, but he's not a jerk about that. Of course, I also think Dr. Michel had a biiiiiiiiiiiig crush on him. I can understand her...

They should put Dr. Michel on the Normandy if Chakwas is dead, just for the awkwardness :P

She can die if you take your time to rescue the crew and don't send anyone to escort the survivors back to the Normandy, I think.

Right, forgot that you can choose not to send someone with them.
