Also, I've been doing my usual "read way too much into the Garrus vs. Kaidan romance thing" over on the campaign quests and storylines page. I'm going to think about Garrus hugs to quell my irritation over the information in PC Gamer on Cerberus.

I get that we need villainous figures who aren't the Reapers.  But dear GOD I wish the ME devs would stop this annoying habit of making interesting, intelligent antagonists, then beating the living snot out of them with the Idiot Stick.

I haven't played LotSB yet. A friend tried to buy it for me for my B-day, but he accidently bought it with his account instead of mine

10 months is too long, but at least we know it'll be worth the wait. We should start a countdown to Garrus hugs:lol:

^^^^Trust me sweetie - I already knew about the Garrus News  Im TOO in love with Garrus to find out everything i can asap. of course when i did find out- I did my own version of a techno turian dance in my room! woo!

Its been some good days for news eh. Garrus OFFICIALLY announced as permanent squaddie. Mass effect delayed, and Mass effect 2 being honored at a museum. Its like taking the news, with a small grain of salt due to the delay. But for great reasons.
 
imma quote something i said in that announcement thread -
 
"A rushed game is a mistake remembered forever; a delayed game is the result of gold being made to last and be cherished forever." 

I forget where i heard something like that. Its not word-for-word but very close. I thought it applies to BW's delay

oh and i know i might get a few laughs out of this- Something i also said in that thread later on XDDD

Nah...the REAL reason for the delay was to give the other 2011 games a fighting chance

I've seen the screenshots of Garrus for ME3, and am in love with his scars now that the bandage is gone. To be honest, I never really paid attention to the scars before (except for in that beautiful romance scene), but seeing Garrus wear them out in the open once they've fully healed? It really makes me admire their symbolism and the fact that Garrus keeps them on show.

That being said! I've seen some people who wished that Garrus could use that scar-healing treatment available to Shep in ME2. What are your thoughts on the matter, Garrus Thread?

And YES! Garrus MUST keep his "Hollywood" scars and Bioware will make sure of that! Women find facial scars attractive!! especially in Garrus' case.

I may be working on adapting a post I made in another thread to a new Garrus essay. We. Shall. See.

But the scars are definitely a part of his personality... in fact they embody it.

I recently realized something about Garrus. He is the kind of dude who doesn't let a rocket to the face stop him. Not just literally, metaphorically. His entire life has been him setting unreasonable goals and getting hurt because of it. But does he do the sane thing, and decide to be more careful, to close himself off from getting hurt? NOPE! He decides to just keep setting these unreasonable goals and trying for them, not caring how it'll hurt him - because pain heals, chicks dig scars, but glory lasts forever.

I totally agree, with the bolded most of all. 

Actually, thinking about it a little, I think this is my absolute favorite characteristic of Garrus.  

It so doesn't make sense, and yet it's so 'effing admirable and courageous at the same time.  He needs to be who he is, and he consciously or unconciously  willingly accepts the pain and heartbreak that he KNOWS (or, at least expects is) gonna come his way.

Kay, now that thats outta the way. I apologize but you guys were tooooo talkative today and i'm too lazy to read everyting. *i'm a bad person*   i know.   so anyeay, after skimming. 

1. i totally just bought my Garrus shirt.  No thinking, just did it. lol.  Though I do want that Normandy too. oh well. 
2. SO MANY PRETTIES.   Along those lines, I have begun Garrus + Shepard + table..  we shall see how it comes out.   Also, i'm starting to lay the groundwork for the harem. Also, shirtless Nihlus has lineart that just needs to be colored. I had a busy day.  
3. GARRUS NEEDS MOAR HUGZ. HUGZ TIEM NAO!!!!
4. um, Portal 2 is the best game ever. Except that there are times when i go OMFGWHYDOESN"TITWORK!  and want to throw my xbox. But its still the best game ever. Almost. If it had turians, it would be the best game ever. Cause turians are hot. 
5.  Need moar skype soon. Arcana, i blame you for my near death experience. Its all you and your damned tables. Well, you and Rei.  And Jeff. He' s part of it too.  Oh eff it. All of you.  
6. I got to calibrate things all day at work today cause we have an inspection coming up.  and its in my job description to calibrate. cause I'm just that cool. 
7. I really don't think there's much else for right now.  other than.... keep the pretties coming.

I discovered it because I was trying to explain the difference between Garrus and Kaidan, and it made me think about Horizon, and the fact that everyone says "Kaidan's attitude on Horizon is perfectly reasonable!" Which it actually is, yes. Kaidan is reasonable and logical and careful, to try to prevent himself from getting hurt.

Garrus is not any of these things. He will go with his captain without worrying too much that maybe she's a brainwashed zombie, because that's his style. Because he just does what his heart or gut tells him to, and sometimes his heart is a moron but well... whose heart isn't a moron sometimes?
