I wouldn't worry too much about Garrus dying...Patrick Weekes seem to comment on the UK magazines "speculation" on Twitter a few hours ago: 

Fans taking my Garrus=Wash/Mercutio joke as canon: I was trying to use fear to get Number One Fan rank on @arch4ngel's page. (I failed)

I also wrote about Hawke catching chili in that neck-armor thing on this feed, so I guess that's canonical, too! Fear my power!

Where's that link to random ME3 plots? If they're taking me as gospel, I can have some fun with it.

Yeah, I feel the same. My little speculation on the last page was simply the worst thing I can think of.

Honestly, in some ways a scenario like that would be harder than Garrus straight-up dying. Because if he just can't be saved, then I'm not responsible. If he can be saved, but at the cost of our trust and friendship? /shudders

But yes, it is all comedy jokes. Hopefully.

Well, as a big fan of the Reznor original for that song and not a huge lover of Cash's cover (yes, my kind exists, haha) it was a tough sell. But you did a damn fine job with the song and practically won me over to the cover by the time I was done.

Hm no Executor Pallin? I'm assuming one of the ones I missed was refund turian, one is "you humans are all racist" turian and number 20 is from ME1 but can't quite put my finger on it.. maybe the Spectre requisitions guy? Number 10 is a guess, I don't remember that  guy wearing the hoodie but I do recognise the facial markings.

I was thinking about the Garrus's death rumor... what if the key factor saving Garrus is sparing Sidonis in ME2? Something like he arrives and pull Garrus out of danger dying at his place, to redeem himself for his past betrayal? Damn, I've always killed dat jerk...

That seems to be the current rumour-theory running around. I may have to.. actually paragon that mission at some point. Probably in the same playthrough where Shepard doesn't have a ME1 love-interest, I will call it the "extra safe for Garrus romance/living" playthrough. Ok the name needs work.

@Jeff: That's possible. Number 20 is really bothering me though because I am near sure I have said "That's a very interesting colour" about that turian before.

I can see why. And yes it's not ringing a single bell for me, argh. Then again, I have an excuse. I've only played through the games once so far. By ME fan standards, I'm still a pup...

As for the death rumor, I'm really feeling rather inclined to dismiss it at this point. Weekes' recent twitter activity insinuates it was just a joke. I guess he could be fibbing under obligation to soak up some of the OXM damage, but I have a strong sense that OXM was leaping on that misinformation.

I wouldn't mind being proven wrong so long as the death is a variable, though. I really dig the Sidonis theory.

That's the name.  I haven't done Thane's LM in my latest playthrough yet, so I keep forgetting.

I did want to steal his suit for Garrus.  Maybe next time I'll murder him and try to take his clothes   Or make him strip for his sorry, racist life.

I've always thought that BW would kill Garrus as canon in ME3. It's not that I like drama... I wouldn't like it! But... maybe millions of angry fans are a good marketing. Everyone would talk about it. It would make the game a terribly famous game.

Imagine, 10 years after: today, we still remember the day when all those fans yelled at the same time, the exact moment when the most famous VG character ever died.

Fans would have created statues all over the world, events, meetings to mourning him...

I'm rambling, I know. You know what is worse? I would die of pain if they kill him, but I'm so sure that it would be such a touching death that I would remind it forever. My heart would be broken, but with deep sadness, not anger.

Still... please, BW, let him live in some playthroughs! He deserves something to go right
