I'm bored, so I'm going to create a small list of ME couples, excluding Shepard...

Tali/Kal'Reegar (so cute :3)
Garrus/Dr. Michel (I'm jealous)
Kasumi/Jacob (Mmmmm...)
Liara/Feron (go for him!)
Hackett/Dr. Chakwas (yes, I always wanted this one)
Kelly/Thane (she likes bad guys)
Kaidan/Ashley (I know, impossible, one of them is always dead, but... it's my list!)
Joker/EDI (perfect couple, because she can't break his bones)

I think we need more turians... I'm not sure about Chellick, Palin, Gavorn... Maybe we could think of Gavorn as a former Aria's lover. Ilium was a great place for couples, too. The turian/quarian from Eternity?, the asari and the krogan (adorable!).

Yes, I'm pretty bored...

I heard that there was an implication in LotSB that Gavorn had a male lover? I really need to play my DLC. I still think Aria is Aleena, so I'm all over Aria/Wrex, even if they want to kill each other.

I also support Jacob/Miranda, not sure about Jacob/Kasumi since I haven't done her mission yet. A lot of ladies sure go for dem abs, apparently.

Oh, and Ken/Gabby is another obvious and adorable one.

meeeee too. on all accounts. I like Kaidan a lot. it's going to be hard to have a Shepard that stays single during the first game.

NOOOOO Joker/EDI.     so sad.    and Liara/Feron makes me so happy. 

and OMG the ending of Overlord.  I still haven't gotten over it.....  seriously.  i was in tears.

I would just add Jack/Thane to the list because.. well, that could be fun. Maybe he'd help her get in touch with her spiritual side.

I also would ship Kaidan/Miranda because.. the diehard Alliance guy with the diehard Cerberus gal..would be intersting to watch.

As for turians.. hm, yeah there is that implication with the short videos in LotSB but I never seem to get all the available videos. If memory serves, it's only suggested that Gavorn has a male lover but I really can't remember how obvious or not obvious it might have been.

And while it's cruel, I do hope Kal shows some emotion when my canon Shepard tells him that Tali is dead. Totally shipped those two.

Overlord is most certainly my favourite DLC, for the emotional impact and because it's just fun to play (even the stupid Hammerhead parts).

I like Jack/Zaeed - yeah it's kind of messed up, but he legitimately admires her, and I think it would be cute. Dangerous for the future of the galaxy, but cute.
and I also enjoy Joker/Tali - AI ships are all well and good, but I don't want to get into the sexy robot body world yet. I also saw a Joker/Kaidan sketch that is slightly ooc but way too adorable. Probably want!

Turian-wise, I like Nihlus/Saren, back when they were friends before Saren went all crazy.

Edit: also, the Garrus thread is in general a pretty Alenko-positive place. Some of the love trianglers visit here, and those didn't romance him often consider him a decent bro.

@CGG, Joker and Tali would be adorable too: Tali with suit issues, Joker with his illness; but I can't help loving Reegar. He's Jayne!!!

I count Zaeed/Chakwas among my crack pairings. I saw someone bring it up and first I was skeptical, but the more I think about it the cuter it sounds.

According to the Mass Effect Wiki, there's video footage of him in a bedroom with a human male, but they don't do anything like embrace (or headbump), so it's ambiguous.

Same, and one of the beautiful things about turian society is.. anything is pretty much acceptable so long as it doesn't interfere with an individual's duty. Fraternisation doesn't mean a thing so long as both turians involved are still doing their jobs at the end of the day (and hey, if they're already the best hand-to-hand specialists on the ship, I guess they are entitled to some perks).

It's like this.. totally free-spirit society full of self-discipline and honour. So awesome. Which.. makes me wonder about Garrus' opinion of the Hierarchy. Clearly C-Sec was full of red-tape and bureacracy but that's because there are multiple species and political factions to deal with on the Citadel. On turian worlds, I imagine the Hierarchy is "Word of God" on everything and things would be effecient and straightforward. Or so I like to think anyway.

So.. I could see him maybe being OK with the Hierarchy (minus the whole "serving it for life" deal, he'd probably prefer to serve no one but himself). But when you look at their society and just how free they are, even under Hierarchy rule, it makes one wonder why some turians would want to escape that and live their lives in the Terminus Systems as mercenaries or the like.

Or maybe I just have an overly idealistic view of how the Hierarchy works.

i totally see this......  it also makes for some nice pairings.  

And did someone say Joker/Kaidan???     this gets my m/m happiness going. There's a part of me that still likes Garrus/Kaidan.

Okay I go to bed and you've gone though about eight different topics. I guess I should never sleep.
Gonna have to go back a few because I wanted to make a voice actor comment... sorry!

I just needed to say that there is no point having a British voice actor. If they're English they obviously have to be a bad guy/ girl and have to speak with the stereotypical 'British' accent and say 'bloody' a lot.
And if they want a nice character then I guess they'd have to be Scottish. Welsh wouldn't even get a chance.



I guess the rest of the world wouldn't understand an English Northerner or someone with a more regional accent... I thought the Mass Effect universe was all about challenging stereotypes?
