I find this kind of funny, because I've always envisioned the turians as a very sexually free species who don't see the point in restricting themselves to genders, i.e their entire species is culturally bisexual. As Garrus has already told us of his bedroom tiebreaker with the female turian, we know that fraternization in their military is a-ok. So, I the same goes for male turians.

So yeah, I can totally see Nihlus and Saren doing some... "mentoring" on the side of the mentoring.

Also, Turian culture is based on a hybrid of ancient Rome and Japan. What do those cultures have in common? Military dudes and their apprentices getting it on. It's like totally a thing in both cultures and literatures. Also, this was the pic that made me ship this pairing, for totp!

I'd send you a Nihlus if I could...sorry, I couldn't get him to take his shirt off though...when I asked him, he said, "I move faster with a shirt", whatever that means

Hm, what do you guys think? I reckon Garrus is a safe bet as a permanent squad-mate regardless of LI status but I can't think of which other LIs will keep their squad-mate status. Would it necessarily be a bad thing if you couldn't fight side by side with your LI for the whole game?

Regarding the LI thing - I guess it depends on the LI and what the justification is. And how the player feels about them - did you romance them because you admire their fighting skill, or because they were pretty? It possible with some LIs, a player might feel better about having them out of harm's way, although on the whole, it would probably be a negative thing since they'll get to interact with the LI less often.

a Nihlus for cuddles would be good. or any turian for that matter. lol but its ok. pictures are happy enough.   silly Nihlus, doesn't he know that shirts cause resistance and friction in the air...  

ah well, such is life.

@leonia, I'm pretty sure Garrus is set and (semi?) confirmed as a permanant squaddie.   I think its more like Tali and Thane that they're referring to.
