I'm hiding out here. The debate's getting furious. Image IPB

So... how does Garrus sit down with those bony leggy bits? Or are they at the side of his legs?

all this s/s character development talk got me thinking about the bro/best friend arc we will have for Garrus in ME3

Not saying there should not be a m/m Garrus, but as it had been said before, M2 would have been such a nice spot to put it, i dont know how they would handle it so last minute (they totally should have had the guts to put it in ME2 cause if Garrus can handle FShep having <funny bumps> im sure he can get it on with MShep somehow)

so about that bromance...

I would really like a Garrus that could stand up to a douchy Shepard. One that would steal and lie for no reason (like say giving fake fish to the Krogan on the Citadel. Its a mild offense but there is no moral grey there) and be so Earthcentrist that he/she would send every other races to their death to protect humans (i see a very earthcentrist Shep trying to do that in M3).

So far Garrus had put up with everything Shep does and because he/she is doing it for the greater good. But what if Shep crosses the line? I think its time for a more mature and confident Garrus who can put Shep at his/her place. Maybe show concerns at first ( are you really doing that to help?) but it should go up to some heated argument / leaving  if he realizes the one he belived was saving the universe for the las 2 games is just out for himself (how is sacrificing 3million asari/turian/krogan to save 100 000 human the best thing for everyone?)

Garrus tends to see things in black and white and well if Shep was to fall in the black category, id really like to see our favorite turian take a stand. Maybe Tali too, shes been there all along too. Not that id ever see that with my FShep but i do have a renegade pro-human MShep who needs Garrus fist in the face at some point....

And well for the more openminded Sheps i hope the arc continues to be a <bro fist> arc with Shep being able to give more responsabilities to Garrus since he can definitly be trusted.

I cant wait to see how he reacts to the VS being made a specter while him and Shep were doing all the job... i cant see him very happy tho theres probably too much at stake to hold a grudge on it.

(hopefully my english is readable)

Me too. Hard to see the paragon characters stand there and let a renegade Shepard do what s/he wants. The renegade character have no problem having a go.

Hahaha best story ever "This was originally written to fill a Masskink request and involves Shepard having some fun with a mortified Garrus when she 'accidentally' loses her fork under the table right in the middle of a council dinner"

Well i dont think its all about renagade/paragon here... Wrex is renegade and hed probably fill Shep with shutgun ammos if Shep was to pointlessly send all Krogan to death. But Wrex would also be ok if Shep sent all Turians to death, where i see Garrus as opposing any plan that is not designed with the greater good in mind (sacrificing any specie for no good reason).

Me too (that's why I let Garrus shoot Sidonis). There was this other time in ME2 where I had to "recruit" Legion, so I brought Garrus and Thane. Now, Thane was all for "let's bring the dangerous robot that could kill us at any moment on the ship", but not Garrus. He almost chewed me out when Shepard was about to bring Legion along. I was like:

"Sorry Garrus, there's no option to leave him behind...please don't kill my shepard!"

If you bring Jacob and Garrus with you to get the IFF, Garrus actually suggests to bring the geth with them. While Jacob is like b itchin' about it.. B) I never bring Jacob with me on missions or anything, but I was curious to know if Garrus would want me to bring Legion with them, cuz of the scene when Jacob and Miranda were arguing what to do with him, and Jacob wanted to space it.

But I agree about killing Sidonis or let him live. I always killed Sidonis because I thought Garrus would never forgive me. But my friend told me about not killing Sidonis, and still get Garrus' loyalty. I have never killed Sidonis ever since. ^_^ (sorry for my f*cked up english...<_<)

Catching up on this thread... first, Yunaito, beautiful work - well done!

Also - all this talk about s/s reminds me of a generalized ME question I have. Garrus thread, help me - why is male Shepard so often referred to as 'Sheploo'?

Re: Sidonis... I remember my first playthough, my I didn't have the heart to stop Garrus from going through with it even though my Shepard is madly paragon. I was so convinced he would hate me for stopping him...

In fact, the other renegade points that I've wound up keeping even in my last playthrough were for telling Grunt off when he starts musing about gory Turian murder. HANDS OFF, KROGAN!

Because the default male Shepard has the face of Mark Vanderloo.

Haha, yes, exactly! Felt the same way whenever I went to Tuchanka and had Garrus and Mordin along with me out of habit... always walking by those krogan who're fantasizing about killing 'something else like turians or salarians for a change' or however they put it. I'd like to renegade interrupt them upside the head. :T
