Is there someway to use the toolset to change the hairstyle of an existing character? Note that i just want to change the hairstyle.
I've seen plenty of guides how to create a whole new head morph and then export it to a char. But im quite happy with the facial features of my character. I just want to change her hair style. Is there some way to just open my .das save game file, edit a line to add the name for the .msh file i want to use? Or do I have to start over and create the face from scratch to be able to change hair?

if you skim this post, it will look like im not answering your question. please read carefully. the line youre looking for can be found in the mor. you can get this using http://social.biowar...m/project/1457/ NewByPower's face replacer. run the script from anywhere and extract your mor from your das.

From there, open the mor file in the toolset and you will see many branches with values. In the hair value, change it to the one you want. you will not get any kind of preview so youll need to know the name of the hair you want to change it to. save and use the face replacer to pop it back in your game.

Thanks! I will look in to that as soon as I get home from work.

Btw, is there no way to preview the texutres for the different hair styles? I downloaded "More Hairstyles" from Dragon Age Nexus and it would be nice to be able to know the name of the onces ou want to use.

the way youd need to do it would be to create a new head morph (new > Morph) then pick the hairstyle you like and remember the name of it. What I meant was that in .mor branch view thingy, you're not getting any kind of preview since ordinarily you wouldnt be editing the "game-only" mor, youd be editing the "designer-friendly" mrh and then exporting out to to mor.
