So I decided to create a male human character for a change, but I seem to be unable to get rid of black eyeliner under the eyes. The only "male" base skin texture I have is uh_hed_masa_0d but that makes him look old (and weirdly has eyeliner too) and he's meant to be Fergus Cousland's younger brother. I tried using uh_hed_kida and uh_hed_elfa as base then blend in uh_hed_masa and that leads to good results, but there's still that darn eyeliner everywhere. So my questions are, where does that eyeliner come from (and is it just meant to be there), and are there any other masculine base skin textures around that don't have it? I already have Bidelle and Draco but they are quite feminine. Many thanks in advance!
PS I'd happily post a pic to illustrate but embarrassingly, I can't seem to figure out how to do that on here...

Your morph doesn't have Eye Makeup Color assigned, does it? More importantly, is Eye Makeup Opacity set to anything higher that 0.0?

There's no eyeliner in the default uh_hed_masa_0d texture (although the upper eyelid may appear like there is some, but that's simply the bottom of eyelid receiving very little light)
The one texture which does have built-in eyeliner is uh_hed_fema_0d so maybe check if you don't have that one assigned instead, by accident?

Hi Craig and tmp7704 (MASSIVE thanks for the great mods, by the way). No on both counts, all sliders relating to makeup are set to 0 and I'm definitely not using fema. Triple checked all sliders, lash texture, etc.

Speaking of mods and the millions I have installed, I am thinking that perhaps one of them alters "masa"? Improved Atmosphere perhaps? I would assume anyone changing textures would rename their files, but could that be an explanation or does the toolset not use the override folder?

Some of the mods are likely to overwrite the basic face textures, aye. The mods which make the character teeth brighter for example, and also DA Redesigned does that. I don't know if any of them adds the eyeliner to the "masa" texture, though.
The Toolset definitely is being affected by the files placed in the override, so may be good idea to try to rename override to something else so it becomes disabled and launch the Toolset then to see if there's any change. Same for the addins folder, i'd imagine.

My mod definitely doesn't change the "masa" texture. I would suggest searching your override for "uh_hed", which should display all modified head textures. If one or more male facial textures are found, this could be your problem.
