It’ll probably result in nothing, but I’ve opened this thread on the Bioware forum.
daforums.bioware.com/viewtopic.html
I’ve also sent a personal message to one of the modifiers, Chris Priestly, to try to get an answer.
Next is EA’s forum. Not sure whether to be diplomatic or just go in there & accuse them of being the crooks that they are coming across as.

with you.
i know ranting isn't going to do us any favours. it's so annoying though. jumped on an exchange site & worked out we're paying the equivalent of $66 dollars for the standard edition which you can buy on Amazon in the states for $47

When the Collectors Edition was announced most sites had TSP listed wrongly as an exclusive feature for the Collectors Edition. Despite official announcements from Bioware.
Even the Australian EB games website lists TSP as a feature of the CE. But does not list it as a feature of the standard edition. That does not mean I am assuming Australian copies won't come with the free DLC code.

It doesn't help that the $ is so weak. But the prices are probably converted to € first and then into £.

eurogamer and various other websites will probably be interested in covering this. The more people get in touch, the more they will think it's worth covering.

I think you should wait a few days and give Bioware a chance to issue a response before going to the press. I think the original thread was started two days ago. And only became popular within the last day.Dawnherald wrote...

What if it just turns out to be outdated or incomplete product information on the retailers computers? And then Dragon Age unfairly gets hit with bad publicity two weeks before launch.
If it turns out to be a fuss over nothing. Bioware don't deserve the bad PR. Especially given how hard it has been to recover from the E3 marketing backlash.

At worst it is shady business practice.
Either way, it is a story..

Downloadable versions of the basic game seem to have everything it should do, boxed versions don't. As for the DDE on Steam, if you got the UK version you were almost certainly ripped off unless the Wardens Keep DLC (the only thing extra, unless you care about the soundtrack) is worth the £10 difference. The UK DDE *should* contain the exclusive in-game items too but theres been no word as to why they don't, almost certainly something to do with this deal with Game. Pricing is borked.lawsie100 wrote...
wait, what? I dont understand here. I bought the digital download deluxe edition from steam and i dont get the stone prisoner and new abilites and grey warden tower with it? If i do then ignore my ignorance. It rubs off on people

It could just be the fault of the retailers who have not updated their descriptions for the standard edition which presumably has been listed for over a year. Whilst the Collectors Edition was announced a few months ago, so may naturally have a more updated feature list.
If nothing has changed, then I am surprised this issue has flared up so significantly within the last day.

Exactly. Being worried about this isn't being paranoid. Not being worried about this is being naive.Evilsod wrote...
Silence on the part of EA and Bioware is probably responsible for that. As for jumping to conclusions... this is EA we're talking about. Not suspecting them immediately of attempting to screw you over is a mistake you'll regret. But even Bioware haven't said they're looking into it or attempted to confirm things.

The PS3 version will probably be a better port than the 360 one.
