hmm over on the gamefaqs forums *360 version* there were a few threads
about people getting their saves corrupted. evidently the game kinda
groups them all together so if one gets corrupted they all get screwed
o_O some had used glitches some had not. I did a search here but didn't see any real posts on it (search function heres not that hot)

is this a
bug bioware is aware of? Hopefully at the least they can do something
to keep ALL the files from getting corrupt? I wasn't gonna play this
game for a few weeks while if inish another rpg now i definatly want to
wait if this is a real problem

I just experienced this and reported it. I would wait to buy for now, sucks to be 20 hours in and get hosed like this...

were you on PC or console version? This is seriously disconcerting and a game crushing bug IMO. i never had corrupt saves in ANY game before

noticed theres already a patch out there... it says it fixed the potential corruption of characters statistics does this include corrupted saves?

I have noticed alot of people over on the gamefaqs site were getting corrupted save files after exploiting a leveling and gold glitch....I have yet to hear of a legit game getting corrupted on xbox. Although that doesnt mean there arent bugs.

there was a couple of people who replied that they had in fact got their saves corrupted without using any glitches. although your right the majority had been cheating.



i could care less about saves getting jacked using exploits, but if its screweing up for legitimate players then that sucks. Anyone here got it without exploits?

I just lost all 3 of my savegames in the first town you goto after the big battle in the tower at the beginning of the game (I forget the names of all these towns).



If I try to load any of the saves, the game crashes while loading the save.



I was able to restore the autosave that was made when I area-transitioned from the previous area so I only lost about 45 minutes.



But it really sucks to have your savegames corrupted. Sucks worse because I thought by saving multiple times I was safe but ALL were corrupt after this.



I am guessing that something glitches in the game memory and once that happens any saves created contain the glitch and you have no way of knowing this until you go back and try to load them.



I hope they can fix this and I can send in my savegames if it will help.



Playing PC version 1.01 with the Digitial Deluxe DLC, I've not done any cheating or exploiting.

All of my saves are corrupt (XBox 360); I've lost over 50 hours. Thanks for wasting my time, Bioware. I will NOT be purchasing any future games from you.

First off, the Redcliffe free items is not a glitch.... you get the free items by follwing a certain dialogue path. Secondly, has the devs come out yet and called it a glitch? It seems odd they would have you be able to become a partner in a tavern and not get any rewards for it...

All of my saves randomly corrupted as well. I have the PC version and I updated the newest patches. I also tried reloading saves but they just corrupt later down the line. I downloaded mine from Direct2Drive and I haven't felt like waiting 8 hours to redownload the game on the off chance it might work and I definitely dont want to replay the first 4 hours of the game with a new character to see if it ends up corrupting...if all of these posts were made a month or more ago I really hope Bioware is working on fixing this because they never had any problems before they merged with EA. Hopefully they won't be as lazy when it comes to fixing problems as EA has been over the years because DA is a great game but Ill never beat it if I cant load my saves...and that would make my purchase of it highway robbery.

I am on an xbox 360 and my saves the last two saves are always corrupt now. I have lost 72 hours now. I loved this game until this happened 2 days ago...



Anyone seen any resolution?

I have the same problem and I HATE repeating what I have already done, this sucks.

Same problem, PC Version, no glitch exploits used, about 36 hours into the game, party wiped in the dead trenches, went to load the last save and found several houirs worth of saves had become corrupted. From the sounds of things, even if I back track to an uncorrupted save file (I have over 20 of them), the same problem will hit again down the line. Looking at other peoples' responses received from tech support, they're just told to delete all the save files anyway, which doesn't fix the problem so much as wipe out all your game play, leaving you hoping for the best the next time round. I have the patches and the DLCs, the stone prisoner dlc seems to get pointed out as the culprit a lot. I am a long time bioware fan, but my trust in their work is realy starting to waver here.

I am lvl 20 and my party are all lvl 19. I am finishing up some old quests to hopefully get my gang to lvl 20 before calling the landsmeet. I finish Asunder and whenI went back to camp to change party members I find Alistair butt nekkid. Everyone else is fine but all of his armor, jewelry, arms, etc are gone. I kept going back loading old saves but had to go waay back a half dozen saves ago to cover him up and regain my boss sword and warden commander armor. My question is, Was he banging my lesbian lover, Leliana, behind my back? Was he having a 4-way with Zev, Sandal, and Bodahn? Or was he just spankikng the monkey while I was out killing darkspawn?
