I just beat Mass effect and i wanted to import my character to mass effect 2 but for some reason when i click import from ME1, my character wont show up.

Load the configuration tool outside of ME2 then use the Import tool in there and point it to your ME1 savegame directory (My Documents\\Bioware\\ME1\\Save or something).

I installed the version from STEAM, Deluxe Edition, and there is no configuration tool that I can find when I start it up. How do I get my files from ME1 to ME2? And if I have to do it through the ME1 configuration tool, how would I do it?

Look under Steam\\steamapps\\common, you should be able to find the Mass Effect 2 directory and locate the config tool manually.



Alternately, transfer the saves yourself: Copy any Char01*.MassEffectSave files from My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Save\\ to My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\ME1\\
