You sir! You think ME2 was not manly enough? It is because you didn't play it manly enough son! Give into your inner Renegade! Punch that reporter, shoot everything and everyone, say the rudest things possible! Go with Zaeed and let him fry Vido!  When you see a renegade moment, take it! Your Commander Shepard dammit! You don't have time to put up with anybody's BS!

Your romance was too girly? That's because you didn't go with Miranda, she bangs you right in the middle of the engine room! And try playing as a vanguard, who needs to hide behind cover when you have a shotgun!

Everything said in these two paragraphs is the manly Mass Effefct gospel.  The Book of ReconTeam verse 3-8

:( how can you not like Carrie Bradshaw's daily adventures and "relationship" stories... or Samantha's assertive sexual dominance type of demeanor?

those hookers are super entertaining...

come on brah... :crying:B)

I need a job for that sort of stuff brah, i'm a lazy slacker... but I catch the re-runs...

i'd likely buy the entire Star Trek collection (TOS TNG DSN VOY ENP) than considering buying a Sex and the City collection (maybe to impress chicks or something if I cared about that sort of stuff)... *gain more hetero-gon points*

OP, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're just a moron, and not a troll.

Seeing as this is just asking to be closed, I'll see if I can't help that to happen a little faster...

Because it's mildly insulting, and as far as I'm concerned, baseless. It's not like Shepard was sitting around painting his/her fingernails. You're punching guys through windows, electrocuting them, saving the galaxy... just because the game has displays of emotion doesn't automatically make it girly.

Because the game does not have feminine dialogue. What, were you expecting Rambo? If you feel your masculinity is threatened, go play game with what you considering a badass character. But don't come here and project what you think should be right onto the rest of us. Mmkay? :wizard:

Seriously, why do you think there's so much complaint about Femshepard not being feminine?

Not that I complain myself. *likes her tough soldier woman*

No, don't be ridiculous.  This game clearly had both male and females in mind.  Choose any renegade convo option

Female Sheppard = lenient dialogue, Sex and the City 3 in Space (girl talk, hissy fits, and talking about the latest trends)
Male Sheppard = just want to kick some ass, save the day, get straight to the point, maintain a good paragon rep. minus the bullshiznits

I've played both male and female Shepards.  Didn't really see this at all  But you seem to not look very hard.

waaaaay too much leniency and light-heartedness in it's overall story (plot-holes, contradictions, inconsistency, oxymorons, etc)...

I think M E 2 was written for the Female Gamer ... "Laaaaame! Dude, atleast M E 1 had some good rated PG 13 XXX action in it.", Male gamer...

That is just ME2 in general.  Bw may have bit off a bit more than they can chew.  Some story lines were very well written, and clearly had plenty of thought put into the mission or character.  Other subplots and characters, not so much.  Having 12 characters to cover, rather than half the amount, as they did on ME1, certainly didn't help.

Speaking your mind or defending yourself (from combative hostiles, or taking a stand in what's logical/humane) is a Renegade, yet taking a hit, being talked down to, getting shot at (obligated to kill/shoot back) and not retaliate, or just girly slapping someone is a Paragon...

"is my male sheppard, who's completely heterosexual, and trained to use force when necessary a sissy or something?... in the first game doing that isn't considered a renegade.", Gamer

in Mass Effect 1, the paragon/renegade stuff made perfect sense... yet in Mass Effect 2 it contain major plot holes... you get paragon points just for gesturing a hyper active salarian scientist to shut up (that's major work or something)? Yet doing something that'd benefit your mission further in the game (and make the game easier for your squad/crew), something trivial/minor causes you to gain renegade points?

it's a great game, fun to play overall... good entertainment... buuuut yeah... flawed in the story department...

Ok, I am a female Gamer, and play two FemSheps and one MShep.    And let me tell you, some of the stuff you complain about, plenty of female gamers on this site have the same problems with the game. FOr example, the cheesy crap romance lines?  Girls don't like that crap.  Plenty of Thane girls, for example, were disappointed that we didn't see a romance scene similar to those in ME1

As for Renegade/Paragon choices.  In ME1, those fit much better, that didn't portray Shepard as a derpy bully the way it does in ME2

my pointless constructive criticism...

No offense, but pretty much.  You sort of come across as a sexist or chauvinist in your OP.  I certainly hope you didn't mean to sound that way.

well fellow internet user, I am glad you're voiced your opinion, which is in contrast of mine.

I simply entitled with a question,
"What Do you think of the Mass Effect 2 dialogue?", meaning give me opinion, you're giving me what I want:kissing:B) *my girly sheppard response* ...

thank you

sincerely,
FutureDude (the equal opportunity troller)

Are you psychic? I do come up with my best ideas while using the bathroom/restroom (sitting on the toilet). Wish I had cable tv installed in my bathroom, and a warm-bubble jet installed inside my tub.:alien: How did you know? WiFi is so amazing (can't wait for 300Tbps)... it's so innovative, advanced... it's like surfing the future of technology. I'm thinking about getting that water-proof Panasonic Heavy Duty Laptop... can surf the net and take manly bubble baths while on this site.

B) and for the people like you is my main reason why I made this thread, comparing and contrasting their separate opinion(s) from my own.

you have your own outlook on the game, and I have mine.

thank you.
