Soteria, I am amazed at your video. When I do this fight, the archers survive much more. Last time they had about 3 or 4 times hp compared to those in your vid......

Also, I wonder how you managed to reach lv 25 already. I never got beyond 23 at the archdemon... And that was with a few questmods = more enemies and rewards = more exp than in vanilla...

Regen. I'm pretty happy with the mental resist bonus as it is, unless you're talking about % spell resist, which is different. A lot of people in times past have suggested adding a regen bonus to willpower and an armor bonus to constitution, as both of those stats are pretty lackluster.

Ok then, perhaps maybe a chance to resist certain spells for willpower as I mentioned earlier?

You have to understand that these ideas that I am shooting out are purely to advocate making willpower more useful so that more people will see an extra purpose in choosing it. The vast majority, from all I have gathered so far, are not happy with choosing this stat at all, and believe that increase in mental resistance and stamina/mana is not enough to justify putting points into it.

Yes though, I was talking about spell resistance percentage. Like every point placed into willpower grants an additional 1% spell resistance? I don't know, let's make my stat as an example. I have 33 base willpower, so if I were to be given 33% in bonus without the use of items, would you consider adding at least a few more points into willpower a wise investment?

Perhaps maybe in addition, the stat could increase the might of a character when near death, as also mentioned slightly? Let's cough up some numbers here and say: When a character is below 25% HP, he/she taps into his/her willpower to go on strong and puts up one last stand. Every point into willpower reduces the damage taken in combat by a single percent.

These are just ideas I thought might give willpower some cool utility. Anyone else have something cool to share?

Wow, Tirigon, you might need to reinstall your game, because that has to be some kind of bug.  After glancing back at the video, it took 5 bombs at 76 damage to kill an archer: ~380 hp.  I'd hate to fight them if they all had three or four times that (1000+) like Ser Cauthrien does. That's borderline unplayable; how do you manage? Do all enemies have that much hp, or just these ones?  You might want to report the bug as well as your system specs, since other people might be having the same issue.  Huh, could be why some people think the game is so hard?

While I was checking the hp of the archers, I glanced at my level as seen in the opening five seconds of the clip, and I'm definitely only level 20. I've never reached level 25 in Origins, either, and I think this character ended the game right around level 23.

Maybe. I don't know. It would certainly be a more valuable stat. Thing is, despite the value, I just don't care for % magic resist. I always feel like I'm rolling the dice with it, and I like my fights to be more or less sure things. Either you're depending on a "lucky" resist or you're reloading because you got "unlucky" with a failed resist or it just doesn't matter because you win despite a failed resist. I would probably take it in some builds, but not as a matter of practice.

Last time I checked, spell resistance meant damage reduced, not chance to miss. Maybe I am wrong.

You are wrong.

When you resist a spell, it doesn't affect you at all.  You completely avoid its effects

Elemental resistance is what reduces damaeg by a percentage. Magic percentage is like dodge for spells.

Haha had those two confused. Then let me change that. Make it elemental resistance per point into willpower.
