I bought the Mass Effect & Mass Effect 2 on Steam about a week ago, and after beating Mass Effect I then proceeded, at least attempted, to play Mass Effect 2. I had  already previously installed it days ago, so I was, what I thought, ready to jump right into play. I was then surprised during the game's/steam's initial launch/setup process with an error message. "Message: Failed to initialize the physics system. Please ensure you have an updated version of the PhysX System Software installed." Upon reading this I began to get frustrated and then went to NVIDIA's site to ensure I had the updated PhysX software. Whether I did or not, I (re)installed the latest PhysX software and then reinstalled Mass Effect 2. As the game installed I went to further investigate this issue, through Steam, NVIDIA, ATI, Bioware, and other various affiliates. I found there was a known issue with the ATI Radeon HD series with Mass Effect 2, in that it had previously been known to not allow something to function correctly in game. I downloaded this fix, but unfortunately it didn't fix my problem either. I have no clue what is wrong at this point, having done all that I can, or really know. Any (further) assistance on this matter would be absolutely wondrous, to say the least. My system specs are listed below in the efforts to make it a little bit easier for you to explore any issues pertaining to this error. Thank you.
