I saw the walkthroughs on dragonage wiki said that the glove and boot of this set drops from some special crow assassins in City Amaranthine.

anyone know where can I encounter those special crow assassins and does anyone do get the whole set?

In the city itself? The only Crows I recall encountering were when travelling between the woods and Amaranthine (it is, however, entirely possible I missed them). Maybe just travel back and forth between various locations until you get jumped.

I never got the whole set, but I wasn't really looking for it.

you do encounter some random crows, but I got an extra blackblade tunic off of them, meaning I now have two blackblade tunics, one cap, and no gloves/boots :/
Still, I'm not too bothered because I'm not playing a rogue, but I do hope that the blackblade set is complete when it comes to my rogue playthrough on Awakening, cuz its the best looking rogue armour I have encountered.

you can get two blackblade tunics one from the crow assassin and one from the original place where you get it

since the blackblade gloves and blackblade boots are bugged

I just use Slippery Ferret's gloves and Wolf Threads, goes really well its almost as if its the whole set

same with me actually, there are too many bugs in Awakening

I played a rouge and only got the boots and chest. Much like the anceint Elf armor in Lothering. They do not drop or exist.

where did you get the boots?

Can't remember, but I know I found the chest underground I think in Ameranthine in the smuglers cavern. Or maybe where you find the architect for the first time.

I play on the console and got all the pieces for ancient elf armor. Get it all the time. Do you have PC?

Ive gotten the full set on console, It took over 80+ at least reloads till the damn things dropped but they did and I was questioning it usefulness anyways.



The mages have a similar problem in that one of their sets is random drop only too.

Boots and Gloves are bugged on both Xbox and PC, and will not drop. You can get the set on PC but not on Xbox by downloading one of the many fixes from this great site. You can also fix the Ancient Elf drop in Lothering using one of these fixes . Most of these are simple to use and either use the DAupdater or a simple drop into the overide folder. I have used these to fix many of the bugs in this great game such as putting the rune slots in Ageless, the Lothering drop and others. I avoid the more complicated ones and always read the fix description before using one of them. The Blackblade looks great on the ladies but I think it is inferior to the Felon's coat and many others. There is no problem getting the Ancient Elf on XBox, only on the PC.  If you want it for PC you have to get the fix that puts in the Chantry.   To put rune slots in Ageless on Xbox, you have take out all the runes in your other weapons and do a reload.

since they couldn't fix it, with patch 1.04 they should have just put the blackblade boots and gloves in the keep merchant's inventory, damn it.

pc players can obtain the full set in this way:

1: enable console
2: type: runscript zz_fab
You will be teleported in a room where there's all the equipment awailable in awakening and some non dlc equipment of origins.

this command works only in awakening and not in origins.

With this method you can also recover your equipment if you encounter the infamous silverite mines bug.
